The Creighton Centre, founded in 1908 as Bishop Creighton House, is a charity with a long history of working in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, caring for older, vulnerable and disabled people. We tackle problems caused by social isolation and disadvantage by developing and providing services that offer people practical solutions and emotional support.

As a Habilitation Specialist, you'll deliver specialist mobility and independence training to children and young people, helping them build the skills they need to navigate the world. You'll assess individual needs, develop tailored habilitation programmes, and work closely with families, schools, and professionals to provide ongoing support. Whether you're teaching one-to-one or running group sessions alongside colleagues, your work will make a real difference.
You'll need to be highly organised, managing your own diary and prioritising children based on their needs. Covering a predominantly rural area, this role involves regular travel, with flexibility required to provide occasional cover across Torbay, Plymouth, or Cornwall. You'll work independently much of the time but will also be a valued part of a supportive team, attending meetings in Exeter and staying connected through technology and in-person collaboration.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to hold the Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight Graduate Diploma (IOE) and one or more of the following qualifications: BSc Hons Top-up Degree in Habilitation Studies (BCU Birmingham City University), Rehabilitation Officer Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Education (ACE) – Working with Children with Visual Impairment, or another nationally recognised qualification in habilitation training for children and young people with visual impairment.
If you hold a Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment) or a Diploma in Higher Education in Rehabilitation Studies, you'll need to demonstrate a commitment to further study to achieve full habilitation accreditation.
Experience working with children and young people aged 0–25 years is essential, and you'll also need to be registered with an appropriate professional body upon appointment (registration fees funded by Guide Dogs). A full UK driving licence or an alternative means of meeting the travel requirements is required.
This role involves significant travel covering a large rural area in all weather conditions, handling specialist equipment, and delivering practical habilitation training, so resilience and adaptability are key. This is a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference.

Event Assistant, Tommy’s & LLHM

Job Summary
We are seeking an Event Assistant to support both the London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) event side and Tommy’s side (affectionately nicknamed Team Tommy’s). This is an incredibly exciting time to join the team and gain fantastic experience in both the charity and events industry at one of the UK's leading mass participation events, which is owned and operated by Tommy's.
For the LLHM Team, the main purpose of this role is to provide first-class customer service and support to the 20,000+ runners taking part in the Half Marathon, as the event continues to grow in size year on year. This will involve managing the helpdesk email and phone line, ensuring runners are accurately registered and answering any queries they may have.
For Team Tommy’s, the main purpose of this role is to support the Tommy’s team of 3,000+ runners in the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The role is responsible for being the main point of contact for the runners and ensuring they have the best experience possible running the LLHM and fundraising for Tommy’s through our support inbox and phone line. The aim is to deliver the ambitious team fundraising target of over £1,800,000 for LLHM 2026 and more in the following years. This role will also support the development of the Team Tommy’s LLHM Corporate Challenge, a product that recruits a team of corporate runners to take part in the LLHM and fundraise for Tommy’s.
We are not necessarily looking for past experience in a similar role, but for transferable skills and personal attributes to deliver excellent customer service and be a good all-rounder with fantastic administration and communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect to recruit from our members and from the community of those who stammer or those who support people who stammer (speech & language therapists, family and friends).
- Recruit and induct new volunteers to support our services, working with the Services Director and the Training & Outreach Lead.
- Work with the service managers to review training and update training modules.
- Ensure there is appropriate training, support, supervision and acknowledgement for volunteers and ensure processes comply with the charity’s values
- Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.
- Support and recruit volunteer community leaders for our groups and networks; work with them to aim for consistent quality across the groups experience and develop an online training programme for leaders. Longer term, put a funding case together to support a training weekend for community leaders.
- Keep records on which community groups are active and identify areas of need and feedback mechanisms.
- Work with Content & Communications Lead to produce regular mailings and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
- Keep up to date with legislation, best practice and policy related to volunteering and make any necessary modifications to accommodate changes.
- Maintain the database of volunteers and ensure all volunteers are registered members.
- Manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of volunteer expenses.

This is a hybrid role, and all staff are expected to attend team meetings, held in London, every 6-8 weeks.

Role Description
You will be responsible for a range of areas that support the infrastructure and smooth running of the organisation. The role-holder will lead on operations and a key infrastructure project which will provide a foundation for future growth: scoping, setting up, and implementing a CRM system to support data and contacts management across the charity and skills in scoping and setting up CRM are essential to the role.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we reopen services that unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. As a coordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering our community service across the East Riding of Yorkshire through drop-ins offering:
- practical hearing aid support
- information on hearing loss and tinnitus
- hearing checks
You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in services and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across East Riding of Yorkshire.
You will:
- Coordinate our volunteering team to deliver a high level of service at our RNID Near You drop-in sessions.
- Recruit volunteers across the East Riding of Yorkshire to strengthen existing sessions and open new sessions as required.
- Work with NHS audiology to induct and train our volunteers to high standards.
- Promote our sessions to ensure maximum engagement from local hearing-aid users.
- Ensure all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals, and service users. As a Single Gifts Marketing Campaign Executive, known to Guide Dogs as a Single Gifts Campaign Executive, you’ll help deliver Single Gifts campaigns (Cash Appeals, Raffles, and Mid-Value), working across acquisition and supporter development to maximise response rates and campaign value. You’ll ensure campaigns stay on budget, managing artwork and content approvals, providing feedback, and tracking performance to inform future strategies. Additionally, you’ll conduct post-campaign analysis, produce reports, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery. You’ll work closely with the Online team and External Lottery Manager to keep the Cash and Raffle sites updated and collaborate with other teams for smooth campaign execution. You’ll also handle internal queries and supporter inquiries about the Cash and Raffle schemes.

We are recruiting for an Employment Worker to join a new Mental Health service in Tower Hamlets which brings together clinical and community services.
