We are looking for people who are: passionate about addressing economic injustice, hold a deep knowledge and connection to Birmingham and are capable of working with and supporting changemakers and community groups across the city.
We have worked in Birmingham for five years and the need and urgency for our work is greater than ever, with the many live grassroots campaigns across Birmingham mobilising people to come together to save libraries, youth services and social housing. We know that a shared root cause of all of these crises is the city’s economic system.
This role leads our work across Birmingham to help build our collective capacity to analyse, strategise and take action for economic system change in the city. It will coordinate our Programme team to deliver different initiatives that support a growing movement for economic justice across the city - particularly focused on building support and engagement amongst grassroots changemakers and communities experiencing economic injustice. It will manage projects and resources, conduct programme development and delivery, oversee outreach and partnerships, changemaker recruitment and contribute to fundraising - ultimately play a key role in shaping our regional impact. This position is crucial in coordinating our work across Birmingham and driving meaningful collaboration with local and national stakeholders, in particular working collaboratively with Economic Justice Brum, a long term initiative working on local economic systems change.

Birmingham Programme Development
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with community and civil society partners, including members of the Economic Justice Brum
- Working closely with the Head of Community, lead the development of People’s Economy’s programme of outreach and relationship building with changemakers in Birmingham including current grassroots campaigns such as Save Birmingham, Save Birmingham Youth Service (SBYS), Ladywood Unite, Save Druids Heath and the Birmingham Fair Housing Campaign.
Birmingham Programme Delivery

Job Summary
Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.
The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will contribute to our strategic priorities, working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts manager to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders. With opportunities to fundraise towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.
Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving strategy, building relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders engaging them through phone calls, meetings, written correspondence, events and by creating compelling proposals.

Main Responsibilities
Fundraising
· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.
· Cultivate a portfolio of major donor prospects in the UK and abroad at the six-figure gift level and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in the management of seven-figure gifts.
· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests, and craft compelling cases for support.
· Work independently and in collaboration with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.
· Actively solicit funding personally through bespoke cultivation plans and utilise senior stakeholders effectively when needed.
· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, our fundraising operations team, consisting of database and supporter care functions, will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
The Head of Fundraising Operations will enable fundraising operations to keep pace with the growth in income, futureproofing systems to ensure effective co-ordination and organisation to underpin fundraising activity, as well as delivering on an incredible supporter experience. With a new CRM in place, the role will design and implement a range of systems/processes, maximising the capabilities of the database. Working closely with internal teams including finance, the role will support external-facing fundraisers to achieve their targets, through excellence in data quality and the highest standards in supporter care.
About You

Purpose of the role
Are you passionate about providing grants to ground-breaking environmental charities around the world? This role offers the chance to develop and manage a portfolio of grants dedicated to this subject area. The broad themes of the programme are: the regulation and reduction of harmful chemicals and pollution; Protecting human health and biodiversity in environmental planning (including though promoting good environmental governance) and regulating harmful impacts of business and development projects. Main duties and responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to manage all stages of the grant making process, from invitation to application, award and reporting.
Programme Officer Duties:
- Making a contribution to the vision for and strategic direction of the Trust’s environmental grant-making portfolio;
- Identifying potential grant applicants by researching organisations in fields of interest to the Trust, networking and attending relevant events;

Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training
- With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
- Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
- Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a thoughtful and dedicated leader to oversee the delivery of the Smart Works service across the UK, ensuring that the charity remains on track to achieve our current growth ambitions, and to also play a key role in leading delivery of the service as we move into our next strategic plan.
The Head of Programmes will drive innovation, build impactful partnerships with referral organisations and enable excellent decision making across all centres. The Head of Programmes will be the guardian of the Smart Works service as the charity grows, ensuring decision-making across the charity is always client-centric and every client has the best possible chance of job success.
The Head of Programmes will oversee the opening of new Smart Works centres. Project managing the opening of new centres will require exceptional people management and an ability to balance important small details, with an awareness of the bigger picture and wider strategy.
The Head of Programmes will also be responsible for leading org-wide projects focused on quality, that will allow Smart Works to ensure our offer continues to improve, so that more of our clients can move into employment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Performance and Planning Marketing & Communications professional who wants to help develop and grow Maggie’s profile, reach and reputation across the UK.

- In-depth knowledge of working within a Brand, Communications and/or Marketing function
- Experience of carrying out mixed method analysis and evaluation of data, qualitative and quantitative, to develop communication and marketing plans and strategy
- Experience generating insight from data, through use of analysis, graphical visualisations, narrative and impact statement
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power Bi and Google suite - Google Analytics and Looker Studio - for data analysis and presentation
- Ideally experience with Dotdigital marketing platform and Google Search Console for search traffic analytics

About the Role
We are seeking a Programmes Delivery Officer within our Global Relationships Team, whose role will be to support our vision to equip the Methodist Church in Britain to be a growing, evangelistic, inclusive, justice-seeking Church for the 21st century.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Global Relationships, the successful candidate will be a collaborative and professional member of the Global Relationships (GR) team within the Mission Team as it fulfils its strategy in response to Our Calling and a Methodist Way of Life.
In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:
- develop and implement our People to People programmes, including long-term Mission Partnering, Encounter Worldwide, Encounter Together, Global Mission Fellows, the incoming Evangelists Programme, Church Twinning and more.
- help facilitate and strengthen ongoing relationships between Partner Churches and the Methodist Church in Britain, and provide Methodist people with unique opportunities to learn and engage in mission in a variety of global contexts.
- promote the work of global relationships with children and young people at 3Generate, their annual gathering.
About You
Key Requirements
- Graduate qualification in mission, development studies, project management or equivalent, together with relevant experience.
- Excellent understanding of the global mission context in the 21st Century.
- Proven ability to work cross culturally and to relate to persons within different globally based organisations.
- Highly organised and able to track multiple areas of work.
- Availability for occasional on call and out of hours work.
