Coram Ambitious for Adoption Regional Adoption Agency [RAA] is a commissioned Voluntary Adoption Agency delivering statutory adoption support services and family finding for a number of local authority partners. The family finding post holder will be located in Hillingdon, as part of the wider RAA partnership located across London and surrounding areas. The hub services for the RAA include the recruitment, assessment and support of Coram approved adopters, which are located at the Coram Campus in London.

The post holder will be employed by Coram, a service with a long track record of serving children well and outstanding ratings from Ofsted. The task for the Regional Adoption Agency is to ensure that all children who have a plan for adoption are given every chance to have that ambition realised and when placed in a permanent family receive the relevant support as their needs change and develop.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Family Finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high-quality family finding service for the London Borough of Hillingdon, for children with a plan for adoption.

The post holder will be one of two professionals responsible for family finding for children with a care plan of adoption within the local area.

The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. This role will function as 6 month fixed contract with the possibility of an extension to offer continuity to the children we are family finding for.

Main duties & Responsibilities

Securing New Corporate Partnership Business

·To support in the creation of a new corporate fundraising strategy and subsequently implement this

·Develop resources, pitch decks and communications to attract new partnerships

·Identify, research and approach a pipeline of potential corporate partners, including those with existing links to employees, volunteers, trustees and members.

·Confidently pitch and write proposals to potential corporate partners, tailoring style and approach according to their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities

·Research and attend networking events and activities to support new income opportunities

Corporate Partnership Account Management

·Account-manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, e.g. charity of the year, company sponsorship, staff fundraising, etc, ensuring mutually agreed partnership journeys are clearly planned and well executed

·Provide excellent stewardship of all current relationships including marketing and fundraising initiatives throughout the year

·Work closely with the Marketing lead to create innovative marketing plans for corporate partners to demonstrate Return on Investment

·Produce reports and presentations including activities and reach to convey the impact of partnerships

 Working with the wider team to deliver income targets

·Work closely and collaboratively with the wider Income Generation and Support teams to deliver professional and on brand communications to partners

As  Data and Impact Officer you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making through insightful data analysis.

Working closely with the Director of Programmes and Impact, you'll be responsible for overseeing the processing and analysis of our data and helping to ensure the learning from this data is understood and embedded by our delivery team so that our programme is constantly refined.

Key Responsibilities

A small, well-established London-based not for profit membership body is seeking a Finance Manager for a full-time permanent role. The salary is £47,867 - £50,813 per annum, with the organisation usually looking to appoint at the entry level point on the salary scale.

Reporting to a Finance Director and managing a Finance Officer, the role is largely a business-as-usual finance role covering management accounts preparation, managing budgets with department heads, bank reconciliations & transactional finance and leading on all aspects of accounting for 2 very small related charitable entities.

The role offers hybrid working, with an average of 40% of the working week (including Thursdays) required to be onsite at the central London office, with the rest of the time from home.

Candidate requirements:

• Graduate level education and at least a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA)
• Sound knowledge of management accounting and budgeting principles and methodology
• Ability to and experience of independently preparing draft accounts to management accounts level
• The ability to present Management Information in a visual and easy to understand way to a variety of stakeholders

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in the brand new role of Governance and Executive Officer.

You will provide proactive and efficient secretariat and administrative support to the Executive and Non-Executive Teams, working closely with the Leadership Team to support the fulfilment of their day-to-day tasks and strategic objectives.

The role includes supporting and organising meetings and reports, and minuting of executive meetings. In addition to general PA and administrative duties, you will provide a cohesive secretariat function to support the smooth and efficient operation of the Mind THNR Board and its sub-committees.

You will work closely with the  Leadership Team to set agendas, monitor action logs, and provide a high level of support to the Board. You will share collective responsibility for supporting the delivery of business objectives, through active engagement and collaboration with colleagues at all levels in the organisation

This role is flexible in terms of days and hours, although you need to attend Board meetings in person, once a quarter in the evening and committee meetings, which are also in the evening, but on line, so three evening meetings a quarter. We are based in a beautiful office in Tower Hamlets, with lots of outside space and a café, so ideally you would be present in the office two or three days a week ( if full time).

 The candidate should have a strong commitment to Campaign for Better Transport’s mission and values, and the development of sustainable transport. This is a senior role, suitable for a candidate with significant demonstrable experience in a related field. The role will be particularly attractive to those that are able to demonstrate success in charity income generation and product development.

• Strategic leadership: Proven track record in leadership roles within the nonprofit, political, or public sectors operating at a board level
• Fundraising: Demonstrable success in fundraising, donor management, and financial oversight

About Animal Action Greece

Founded in 1959, we are Greece's oldest national animal welfare organisation. Our mission is to improve the lives of Greece's homeless and vulnerable animals. We care for street cats and dogs, provide vital veterinary, dental and farriery services to working and abandoned donkeys, horses and mules and rescue, treat and rehome animals affected by emergencies.

We provide financial and technical support to local animal welfare organisations, deliver our own programmes, undertake policy and advocacy work and seek to shape public opinion, attitudes and behavior.

This is a pivotal moment for a new CEO to make their mark, supporting the implementation of our new strategy and ensuring the effective implementation of new large-scale animal welfare programmes. 

About the role

The CEO is responsible for ensuring the organisation delivers its new strategy and annual operational plans and is responsible for the overall strategic direction and financial health of the organisation.

The CEO also takes the lead in representing the organisation to a range of external stakeholders, policy makers and influencers, including our valued supporters.

The CEO will be based in the UK but will provide leadership and support to individuals working remotely both in the UK and Greece, including by undertaking regular travel to Greece.

Selection Criteria

Essential

• Proven leadership in a senior management role, within the charitable sector.
• Experience of financial planning, budget management and financial reporting
• Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality reporting against agreed KPIs and targets.
• Knowledge and understanding of charity fundraising, including experience with one or more of supporting or managing individual giving, proposal writing or legacy management.
• Understanding of charity regulations and compliance. 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills. 
• Ability to lead teams and promote a positive, inclusive organisational culture.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage risk and complexity.
• A demonstrated personal commitment to animal welfare.

Press Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, non negotiable and dependent on experience.
Location: This is a remote role, with a requirement to attend the UK Covid 19 Inquiry as frequently as possible when it is sitting, and on key days such as the opening of Modules or when high profile witnesses are called.
Hours: Full time, but flexible, with a requirement to work outside of office hours to attend key meetings and manage the press inbox when there is high demand.

Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice are looking for a press officer to oversee our press and communications as we fight to ensure the mistakes from the pandemic are never repeated again.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.

We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.

You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.

Press Officer Responsibilities:

• Manage our press officer so that we are able to respond to press inquiries in a timely and effective manner. We are lucky enough to manage a very busy press office, so strong organisational skills are required.
• Create press plans and proactively pitch stories which help achieve our wider campaign goals. This will involve creating press strategies with creative flare and the Press Officer will need to be comfortable thinking of new angles and stunts to raise our profile.
• To cultivate new and nurture existing media contacts
• Media train and support volunteers from the campaign
• Deputise for the campaign manager when required
• Oversee and generate fresh content for our social media channels, working alongside volunteers from the campaign
• Support with drafting copy to update our members as well as fundraising and reaching other external stakeholders when necessary
• Translate at times complicated policy lines around public health and legal processes into compelling personalised narratives for press statements and comments

Essential Experience:

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment, PR agency or as a journalist  
• Proven experience of creating and implementing effective media strategies which help advance wider organisational aims and goals.
• Proven experience of proactive pitching stories in high profile media outlets that help to advance an organisations aims
• Proven experience of managing and maintaining good relationships with a variety of journalists, including national print and broadcast media, as well as political and health correspondents.
• Experience of prioritising effectively in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Excellent writing skills that can be tailored to reach a range of audiences.
• Experience of working with case studies and being sensitive and supportive to their needs
• Experience of successfully media training spokespeople
• Personal belief in and support for the aims of Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK
• An understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion

Desirable experience

• Experience of managing, creating and implementing media strategies on contested issues in a fast paced environment.
