1 in 2 people in the UK will get cancer. As one of the three main cancer treatments Radiotherapy will be needed by 1 in every 4 people in the UK and is required in 40% of cancer cures. Yet radiotherapy receives only 5% of the cancer budget.
Radiotherapy UK is the only charity in the UK dedicated to improving access to high quality radiotherapy treatment and support. We believe that everyone in the country, no matter who they are or where they live, should have access to the best radiotherapy treatment available. We campaign for a world-class radiotherapy service for patients, we provide quality information and resources about radiotherapy to patients and we support the development and engagement of a highly skilled and dynamic radiotherapy workforce.
