CBM UK’s Disability Inclusion Advisor will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and delivering disability inclusion technical advice to mainstream organisations and key stakeholders in the UK. The role will also contribute to ensuring the advisory programme of the wider CBM Global Federation is of sound quality, appropriately resourced and promoted both internally and externally. While being able to develop and deliver technical advice is the most important element, we are particularly seeking a strong understanding of, and preferably experience in delivering or advising on, inclusive education.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
- Work with and alongside CBM Global Country Teams and the disability movement to deliver high quality disability inclusion advice on policies and programmes, change facilitation and capacity strengthening.
- Work with UK and Global colleagues to generate new business in order to build the technical advisory function of the organisation through: securing and delivering fee for service advisory work in UK, technical support to accessing funding for delivery by other advisory teams and partners, and co-delivery on wider IAG network advisory projects.
- Lead on stakeholder and partnership management to maintain excellent servicing of advisory clients.
- Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place, and contract outputs are delivered to a high standard for effective operational delivery.
- Contribute to the evidence and MEAL base for disability inclusive practice.
- Contribute to the peer learning approach of the wider IAG network and strengthen the advisory capacity of the CBM UK team.

As part of the Digital Systems team, the CRM Systems Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s Ticketing, Customer Relationship Management and Fundraising CRM application and associated systems. Role Requirements
- Working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, you will strengthen and implement business planning, pipeline and budgeting processes as well as devise comprehensive audience-led stewardship plans, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve targets.

The Head of Fundraising is an exciting new role developed for the Society to increase fundraising and develop additional income streams to enhance the sustainability of the Society. They will help deliver the Transformation Plan, an exciting new project for Scotland’s oldest learned antiquarian Society to help deliver the Society’s vision: “Scotland’s past is for everyone to research, share, enjoy and protect, home and abroad”.
The Transformation Plan includes the acquisition and redevelopment of a B-listed building in central Edinburgh to co-create the most inclusive, low-carbon and heritage-rich space to work, visit and participate. This will become a heritage hub for Scotland’s past, helping to bring heritage alive for a wide range of public audiences. This role will provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the Society to achieve its fundraising targets and enhance its development program.
They will be an effective fundraiser and key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision.
Initially on a 2.5-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding, the post will work as part of the senior management team and liaise directly with staff, Councillors (trustees), members (known as Fellows) and other organisations and individuals to ensure the successful delivery of their responsibilities.
The post will have the following immediate priorities:
· Helping develop and submit a major stage one Development Phase National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant application in collaboration with the Director and others, creating an engaging and successful proposal and case for support (part of an overall c£6m Transformation Plan project)

Main Responsibilities
Strategy and planning

· Lead the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets across a range of revenue streams

Person Specification
The Head of Fundraising will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors. They will be a key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision. As such they will need the following:
Requirements - essential
· At least three years’ experience in a similar role
· Demonstrable record of major capital fundraising leadership and delivery, ideally within a charitable organisation but others will be considered
· A track record of successful fundraising, including sizeable NLHF applications
· Experience of utilising the strength of an organisational brand for charity/business development
· Proven track record of meeting challenging income targets
· Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder, client and donor relationships including developing and managing individual donors and development of legacy giving

Further Information
This post is an initial 2.5-year (30 month) full-time contract which will be extendible subject to funding. There will be a short probationary period during which time your skills and suitability for the position will be assessed. Development of fundraising for the Transformation Plan will be the immediate priority. A lot of work has already been undertaken by the Society in preparing for an NLHF application as part of this, but the skill and experience of this post will ensure it has the maximum chance of success. This will include liaising with others, including NLHF staff and our consultants, the More Partnership.
The tasks and role will develop in line with the requirements in that application and the implementation of the Transformation Plan and will be reviewed after the submission of the initial NLHF bid. The Awards Management Unit (AMU)
AMU has responsibility for identifying, securing and managing all funding from government donors for the IRC. AMU is a bridge between donors and the IRC’s work on the ground. The team provides expert technical advice to colleagues delivering our services around the world, ensures consistency and compliance with our donors’ policies and procedures, and manages risk. The unit also supports all IRC staff working on awards from government donors and partnerships.
The Purpose of the Role
The Senior Advisor, FCDO Donor Engagement will lead, guide and coordinate IRC’s funding focused engagement with UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The post holder will provide an internal and external “account management” function to support engagement with these donors. The role is responsible for providing expertise and leadership on donor relations. It will work closely with technical and proposal development teams who will provide the operational BD capacity to secure significant growth in its funding portfolio from the UK Government and to protect IRC’s funding share, through influential engagement around policy shifts, working in close collaboration with Policy & Solutions as well as Advocacy & Influence.
The FCDO Senior Advisor will lead the development and implementation of strategies for proactive donor and partner relationships on behalf of IRC. The role will develop and maintain positive working relationships and standards of collaboration with senior colleagues across the organization, including the Awards Management Unit, International Division (CRRD) and External Relations. The role will also lead FCDO liaison on Business Development with the President’s Office, advising the leadership board on relevant trends in FCDO funding.
Major Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, update and lead a comprehensive UK-focused business development strategy including approaches, tools, and metrics.
- Lead the development and implementation of the UK donor engagement strategy including coordinating actions of relevant stakeholders.
External Representation
- Develop and maintain a network of senior stakeholders within relevant FCDO teams to ensure effective engagement, influence and winning BD approaches.
- Undertake direct representation with donor officials, and support the development of IRC’s donor relationships, including brokering meetings between donors and Regional and Technical Leadership, Country Directors, and supporting the preparation for these engagements.
- Participate in key meetings with FCDO officials, including Desk/Program Officers, Heads of Unit, Director-General/equivalent, advisors and other officials.
- Represent the IRC at external meetings, events, and forums including delivering presentations/briefings to senior donor representatives, forums and sector groups.
Enabling cross organizational engagement with UK Govt
- Proactively identify and broker relationships with key UK FCDO officials and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of donor strategies relevant to IRC’s work, such as funding priorities, geographical interests and political climate, providing analyses and synopses of press releases, policies and other announcements, and disseminating this information internally.
- Map donor organizational structure, identify key contacts and maintain relationship records in IRC’s CRM system.
- Maintain and contribute to the improvement of tools and resources to support donor engagement and relationship building with donors.
- Work with key staff across the organization to support UK business development planning and implementation, routinely engaging with operational BD teams at global, regional and country levels to review long term pipeline, plan strategic engagement and mitigate portfolio risk.
- Equip IRC staff with the skills, tools and information to manage local, or technical donor engagement, business development and implementation.
- Coordinate across IRC teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely messaging for FCDO.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

Principal accountabilities / responsibilities
Fundraising
· Support fundraising activity across a wide range of programmes, including individual giving, legacy, in-memory and events fundraising
· Plan, execute, monitor and report on individual giving and legacy appeals, leading project groups with the support of the Senior Individual Giving Manager
· Optimise retention and increase supporter lifetime value through development of channel specific and donor-led effective welcome journeys, and seamless supporter journeys.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated over £4 m in 22/23, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. Role Overview
You will manage projects/ programmes delivered through a range of modalities (in person, online, blended) across countries and regions, and in collaboration with partners and other service providers. You will also lead on and/ or contribute to cross-cutting initiatives which develop our organisational capacity as we grow. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will work closely with other project managers as well as colleagues in business development, communications, and facilitation design and delivery. You will find colleagues keen to work with you in the context and spirit of our values. Some international travel (up to 1-2 weeks per quarter) is generally envisaged for project managers, subject to business needs.

About the Role
MSI provides services via our Outreach, Public Sector Strengthening and MSladies channels to underserved and marginalised communities. In MSI we call these “Pillar1, Leave no-one behind channels”. These channels are the core of our high impact delivery (high impact clients, adolescents, those living in poverty).
Specifically, the role is accountable for: 1) engaging and representing MSI in sector dialogue relating to Pillar 1 to contribute to sector learning, influence and impact; 2) development of pillar 1 operational best practices that can be cascaded across MSI countries to further improve impact; 3) developing MSI overarching “Leave no-one behind” strategy and leading testing of new models of service delivery
The Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of MSI and is a member of the Technical Services Team. This role reports to the VP & Director of the Technical Services Department. There is a high level of interaction with MSI’s Executive Team, Regional Directors Fundraising team. It is a full-time role, based out of London or core countries where MSI has an operating entity, with possibility of remote work for exceptional candidates. This role will require extensive travel to MSI Country Programmes in Africa and Asia, London, Europe and USA to ensure that we are in the right places, at the right time, among the right people to further our mission.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive our mission forward. We are looking for someone who can navigate the complex landscape of global sexual and reproductive health and rights with confidence and innovation.
- You should possess a comprehensive understanding of SRHR guidelines, policies, and best practices on a global scale. Your knowledge should span across short-acting and long-acting contraception methods, safe abortion practices, and strategies for reaching adolescents and marginalized communities. A strong background in health system strengthening is crucial, including familiarity with different health system frameworks and how they contribute to overall system performance.
- Significant technical experience at an advisory level in SRHR. Have designed and produced best practice guidelines or training materials related to SRHR best practices, and operations, especially in remote service delivery, SRHR in the public sector; or in reaching adolescents. An understanding of global and regional SRHR trends, as well as awareness of the latest research and evidence-based practices, will be invaluable in this role.
- Strategic acumen: We're seeking a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights. You should be adept at identifying unmet consumer needs and market gaps, and able to develop compelling strategies that align with our broader business objectives. Your ability to anticipate future scenarios and develop innovative responses will be crucial in navigating the ever-changing landscape of SRHR.
- Leadership: The role requires exceptional leadership skills, particularly in "boundary spanning" – the ability to inspire and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration. You should be comfortable working across cultures and at all levels of organizations, (including the Executive Team at MS)I, building trust and fostering collaboration among team members, partners, and decision-makers. You should possess a track record in achieving ambitious goals at a senior level.
- Communication: Your communication skills should be “top-notch”, allowing you to present complex ideas with clarity and confidence in various settings, from international conferences, donor meetings to practical technical workshops. We're looking for someone who can tell compelling data-driven stories, translating technical information for both expert and non-expert audiences.
- Problem solving and analytical thinking: You should bring highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills to the table. We need someone who can approach complex issues methodically, identifying patterns and trends in information, and proposing practical, innovative solutions. - Ideal Additional Qualifications: While not required, we would value candidates who bring additional skills such as: fluency in French, direct experience as an SRHR healthcare professional, knowledge of climate change impacts on SRHR, and expertise in integrating gender equity and social inclusion into contraception programs.

Full-time: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday (For UK based team members).
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £66,200 – £86,700 per annum for UK based candidates. Discretionary bonus + benefits. For all other locations, the salary will be banded within the national context.
Salary band: BG 12
