We are undertaking a major project to develop a new website that will integrate seamlessly with our other digital platforms. As the Digital Content Editor, you will play a key role in this transformation, working closely with our Brand, Marketing and Communications team to implement the website content plan and workflow. You will update and enhance existing website content as part of the migration process while also developing a bold new suite of content. Collaborating with subject matter experts, you will refine and expand our website material, ensuring it is optimised for Google’s EEAT principles.
You will work with the wider team to generate content that is both emotive and factual, aligning with our storytelling strategy to strengthen engagement with new and existing supporters. Your approach will promote immersive storytelling, offering audiences a ‘paddle, swim, dive’ experience—encouraging deeper engagement while also rewarding surface-level exploration.
The ideal candidate will have excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to write clearly, concisely and compellingly for a variety of audiences. You will be proficient in using content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal and have a strong understanding of user experience and website design processes, including the ability to design effective user journeys.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented, creative and dedicated marketing professional to join our small but powerful team to help deliver our new strategy.
As a new role in the hospice’s Fundraising & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will join an existing team of fundraising managers working to maximise awareness and support of the hospice in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support the hospice’s income generation strategy, including line management of the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, and external agencies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional, used to working closely with income generating teams. They will oversee the delivery of a compelling programme of multi-channel communications with the sole aim of increasing the awareness of and support for the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and communications planning, delivery and performance management
- Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the strategies for fundraising, retail and volunteering.
- Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, producing impactful insights and reports to guide our ever-evolving work through all communication channels.
- Develop and maximise the marketing mix, identifying innovative initiatives and working across online and offline channels, to best support the promotion of all income generation activities across the hospice.
- Ensure compliance to industry standards and best practice at all times.
- Support the fundraising strategy in proactively researching and targeting audiences across the catchment area to ensure a broadening of reach and awareness of the breadth of the hospice’s services.
- Be forward facing and lead on engagement with clinical colleagues to promote the need for strong patient stories and effective storytelling to support fundraising.
- Ensure sufficient opportunities for collection of service user data to share news and promote activities.
- Proactively develop and streamline the long-term internal and external communications schedules across the charity.
- Lead on content creation, coordination and production of hospice marketing materials, protecting the reputation, brand and tone of Katharine House.
Operational delivery
- Lead on the writing and distribution of appropriate and engaging press releases, paid adverts, local village features and articles.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee delivery of a planned (and reactive) social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile, using online planning and Analytical tools to plan and report on digital channels to improve targeting and supporter journeys.
- Work closely with the Website Editor to oversee and optimise the KHH website: creating and updating content for the charity and clinical colleagues, including the EPiC Resource Centre.
- Work with the Website Editor and Supporter Care team to ensure that integration of the CRM (Beacon) and website is optimised, to maximise supporter journeys, supporter preference compliance and insights.
- Work together with relevant charity and clinical colleagues and our designer to prepare, design and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee the production of the monthly supporter e-newsletters.
- Alongside your immediate team, manage production of the bi-annual Katharine House magazine from start to finish, with content and thematic planning with fundraising and volunteering managers.
- Lead on content creation to use across the charity. Continue to manage and regularly update our library (filed, captioned, tagged) of patient, staff and volunteer stories with consent, quality photography and video content for use across all of income generation.
- Manage and oversee the charity’s online channels including website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date and engaging content, and ensure all online advertising (inc. paid social media adverts), Google AdWords grant and SEO are effectively managed.
- Liaise with clinical colleagues at our NHS partner OUH to support key marketing, messaging and communication needs, ensuring our brand is correctly used.
Leadership and people management
- Meet regularly with the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, fostering positive communication and engagement. Carry out monthly one-to-ones, setting quarterly objectives and recognising training needs where necessary.
- As a member of the management team, represent the culture and values of the hospice and charity sector.
- Manage the ongoing and changing priorities within the team, communicating and sharing progress and changes in a clear, timely manner. Promote collaborative working and its benefits across the organisation.
- Attend regular management meetings, contributing to team strategy and overall management/team needs.
- Act as a positive role model to the charity team and wider stakeholders.
- Actively manage the workload of our designer.
- Where necessary, manage poor performance as it happens and support staff to fulfil their role.
- Network and foster good relationships both internally and externally to the charity.

Direct Marketing Manager-Acquisition at the Disasters Emergency Committee delivers key direct marketing activities during appeals for major disasters. You will work with the Direct Marketing Manager-Retention to deliver a programme of supporter communications to feedback to donors on the impact of their donations and to retain their future support.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies,
- Implement the direct marketing strategies during each appeal with income maximisation and supporter acquisition as the key focus,
- Manage the capturing and analysis of results to ensure channel optimisation between appeals,
- Lead the benchmarking process of DEC Member Agency fundraising performance.
The role will deliver responsibilities for strategy and planning, fundraising, networking and building relationships.
You must have strong direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition. Demonstrable knowledge of offline marketing techniques in press, outdoor, direct mail and telephone. A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.
You must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken, with the ability to write compelling and emotive fundraising copy. Significant technical marketing expertise across a range of direct marketing channels. Excellent numeracy, budget development, planning and project management skills.
An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.

Job Information
As Data Programme Manager, you’ll use your project and programme management skills to successfully deliver projects which improve Hospice UK’s data capabilities. You don’t need to have technical data skills, but you’ll need to be able to guide technical colleagues and third-party IT and data providers.
Your main project will produce a new Member Data Portal, enabling over 200 member hospices to submit data and view insights and analysis that informs their service offer, whilst also providing a national view of hospice care that Hospice UK will use to support member hospices with national campaigning and fundraising.
Alongside this, you will lead data projects that improve our internal performance management. This will involve working with colleagues to gather requirements and develop reporting that supports effective decision making, developing new policies and procedures, and providing training.
Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key to your success. Working with representatives from our member hospices will be vital to the success of the Member Data Portal project. Internally, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including the ICT and Data team who will provide technical expertise, and senior managers who will be customers for many of the projects. You’ll also work with external suppliers of technical products and services, including carrying out procurements where needed.
You’ll have great project management skills, which means you’ll be organised, structured and a pragmatic problem solver. Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering technology, digital or data projects.

The Role
We are recruiting for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our Fundraising team. The role will be instrumental in the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and building fundraising partnerships across a range of community audiences, including youth and education, sports clubs, community groups and individuals doing their own activities. You will be responsible for growing our existing community products such as Turn Cricket Red as well as introducing new products and initiatives to generate growth in Community Fundraising. Part of a small team, you will develop key relationships within the RSF network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

Role Profile:

- Creation of new RSF owned community fundraising events/activities/products
- Managing RSF third party events-London Marathon, Westminster Mile, professional athlete testimonials, galas and dinners
- Work closely with the Ruth Strauss Foundation School Programme Lead to maximise schools community fundraising
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Foundations community fundraising strategy and community fundraising activities and campaigns
- Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events and community fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Ruth Strauss Foundation
- Ensure, with the wider Fundraising team, we meaningfully engage different communities with RSF
- Ensure relevant processes and policies are in place to deliver a successful, profitable community fundraising programme
- Oversee the management of fundraising systems, processes, and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants
- Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent supporter experience and generates a lifelong relationship with RSF
To achieve these objectives the post holder will be expected to:
- Plan, budget, attend and coordinate an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity
- Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events and products, make recommendations for improvement, and support decision-making regarding fit of new opportunities for the foundation
- Project Manage the delivery of the community fundraising programme at RSF, leading on activity working group meetings, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure campaigns, activities and events are managed efficiently
- Work closely with the schools lead and school manager to grow our schools fundraising programme – working collaboratively so the training programme objectives are also met
- Develop a long-term growth strategy for Turn Cricket Red – focused on maximising current opportunities as well as diversifying to increase our reach
- Deliver high value supporter stewardship to increase lifetime value and impact of their fundraising
- Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders and seniority, ensuring opportunities for growth are maximised
- Alongside the team, co-ordinate event/activity logistics including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, promotion, set up, and delivery
- Oversee relationship with key providers of event fundraising mechanisms such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text to donate services
- Work with colleagues to ensure all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and hosts, and that all stakeholders receive appropriate training/ briefing and post event debriefs
- Work with the Head of MarComms and Digital to produce engaging fundraising collateral and information for event and community supporters including pre and post event communications/marketing collateral, working with external production companies where required
- Ensure all events and activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other event processes/policies
- Oversee the use of the CRM system to ensure data is recorded in compliance to Data Protection and GDPR and maximises output for supporter journeys
- Use sector trends and audience analysis to direct strategy and ensure that RSF remains innovative and at the forefront of Community fundraising

About the Ruth Strauss Foundation
In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.

About the Team
The role sits within the Supporter Marketing team, a team at the heart of WaterAid’s communications with its supporters. The Supporter Marketing team plays a pivotal role in shaping the dialogue with our supporters, defining and facilitating their crucial contribution to driving our mission forward. We are responsible for creating the best supporter experience in the UK, that people genuinely love and feel part of. We build relationships and increase the engagement with our supporters – delivering £37 million income stream from a supporter base of 700,000+ individual supporters, through an audience-led communication programme of diverse channels.
About the Role
As our enthusiastic Campaigns Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing WaterAid's mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, driving campaigning actions through stunning, personal, story-led communications. The purpose of which is to increase our political impact and inspire supporters to advocate to end the water crisis.
This role is a Full-Time, 12 months maternity cover, with a starting date from June 2025. Our offices are based in Canary Wharf, London.
In this role you will lead on developing and implementing WaterAid's mass campaigning strategy to influence governments and policy makers, maximising political impact and supporter engagement, identifying opportunities to test innovative ideas.
You’ll also:
- Devise and manage appropriate supporter journeys for campaigners, developing a relationship with supporters to ensure their support is maximised
- Create phenomenal personal communications, that develop supporter conversations and make lifetime connections
- Help build a team that everyone wants to work with and for, and where people do work that most interests them
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A good understanding of mass campaigning principles, and a strong interest in creating meaningful individual political actions that result in change
- Proven experience in a successful mass campaigning, direct marketing, supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
- Solid project management experience, with the ability to manage large, complex projects from start to finish, working to agreed timescales and outcomes and with multiple stakeholders
- A passion for creating phenomenal, unexpected, personal story-led creative, which tells of extraordinary human experiences.
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of volunteers or campaigners’ management
- Experience with new product development
- Hands-on experience of working with budgets and reporting on financial KPIs
- An empathy with overseas development issues
