Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Purpose of the job/About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate the programme of supporter-led (or ‘DIY’) challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation.
As the Challenge Events Executive (DIY), you will leverage your knowledge and insight to identify new partnerships and opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans that increase participant numbers and creating stewardship journeys that ensure excellent supporter experiences and maximise income. Additionally, you will be responsible for stewarding the ‘DIY’ challenge event supporters and will work to provide automated stewardship suitable for the masses as well as bespoke stewardship to the high value supporters.
To be successful in the site role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital. Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

The person
As the Whizz Kidz Partnership Development Executive you will be encouraged to get into the heart of the organisation, understand our ambitions and use your passion, knowledge and skills to help identify and deliver new corporate partnerships. You will understand how to identify the right opportunities for Whizz Kidz and know what it takes to win and manage different types of partnerships. You will have solid written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable presenting and willing to develop and learn new skills. You will be keen to play your part in helping the fundraising and marcomms team maintain a positive culture, increase brand awareness and unlock vital income to create positive change for young wheelchair users and their families.

• Support the Partnerships team in generating long term sustainable income (unrestricted/restricted) from the corporate sector by developing income first multi-year partnerships

Key Responsibilities
• The purpose of the Senior Copywriter is to use their highly experienced creative writing skills to develop engagement with as many people possible. Crafting compelling internal and external communications you will help generate the support we need to continue saving lives every day across Kent, Surrey and Sussex
• Generate creative and impactful written content targeting a range of audiences, across a range of channels, to raise awareness and engagement with our cause
• Generate powerful messaging for our fundraising and engagement campaigns. Ensure campaign key messaging works across varied channels and audiences, to deliver greater impact to new and existing supporters

The Directorate
The Communications Team sits within the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) Team. The MarComms Team builds brand awareness and engagement among the public, builds our profile with the media and key stakeholders, and supports fundraising activities to generate fundraising income to keep the service running. The team also engages, motivates and unites staff across the organisation to help KSS deliver on its purpose and achieve its vision of an end to preventable loss of life from medical emergency.

Role Description
Our membership community are the lifeblood of GCT, representing a passionate group primarily based in the UK, inspired by the magic of Galapagos. Through their membership donations, this community provides a critical stream of income, protecting this special place long after people visit and represent our best advocates for protecting Galapagos into the future. We are seeking a special individual who can help us reach more of this UK audience and catalyse a growth in new supporter recruitment. At GCT, we truly believe that regenerative tourism can be part of the solution for conservation and this role will also drive stronger connections with tourism businesses and other targeted corporates to grow GCT’s income, donor recruitment opportunities and also to disseminate messaging to influence more sustainable practices in the Galapagos tourism industry.
Reporting to the CEO, the Membership & Regenerative Tourism Manager will drive the development and implementation of three key GCT strategies: Membership, Corporate fundraising & Regenerative Tourism. The role will line manage the Individual Giving Fundraiser who is responsible for managing GCT’s contact database and membership/corporate fundraising administration.
What you’ll deliver:
Membership
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will oversee a growth in GCT’s membership (targets to be agreed upon appointment) whilst ensuring our strong record of supporter retention is maintained, ensuring our members feel a valued part of protecting Galapagos.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser and Communications team, you will develop and deliver high quality communications to members and tourism contacts, growing recruitment and ongoing engagement.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will manage GCT’s contact database (CRM) and will refine GCT’s membership, supporter and corporate data tracking processes, reporting monthly and quarterly indicators to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
· You will ensure robust administration of membership, supporter and corporate income, with an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ attitude during busy income processing times.
· You will lead promotional activities for legacy gifts, stewarding legacy pledgers.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager in donor relationship management, ensuring a strong donor journey at all levels.

Corporate Partnerships

· Working with the Senior Leadership Team you will support the development and implementation of GCT’s first Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Partner initiative (aiming to generate c. £50K per year towards regenerative tourism work).
· You will continue recruitment and cultivation of GCT’s corporate partners from the travel industry and other industries, ensuring partnership deliverables and income targets are met.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager with logistics, promotion and fundraising strategies for the GCT cruises.
Regenerative Tourism
· You will stay informed of tourism news from Galapagos and trends for UK tourists including attending relevant networking events, updating the wider GCT team on a quarterly basis.
· Support GCT’s position on the Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Working Group.
· Ensure opportunities to share regenerative tourism messaging are optimised to increase industry uptake of biodiversity and local community positive solutions.
General
· Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, keeping the Senior Leadership Team updated of any changes.
· Support for GCT events such as our annual Galapagos Day.
· Ensure GCT’s fundraising and contact data management policies are kept up to date and implemented across the organisation.

This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.
Donor Management (~40%)
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
- Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
- Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.

Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)

- Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
- Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
- Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
- Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.
- Secure grant funding through research, proposal development, and managing the grant application process.
Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)
- Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required.
- Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.

We currently have a small fundraising team that has been together since April 2023, consisting of a Partnerships Manager, a Trusts and Foundations Manager and an Events Co-ordinator. The new Interim Head of Fundraising will lead this team, including our Communications and Marketing Manager.

Team Leadership

School of Hard Knocks is embarking on an ambitious new 3-year fundraising strategy that will see us more than double our income and increase our audience reach so we can support more young people to complete their education and reach their potential. We have not yet proactively explored challenge events or community fundraising and yet we believe this could be an exciting growth area for the charity. We currently run one special event a year, but again, we see opportunity to grow our calendar of special and donor engagement events.
The purpose of this role is to build challenge and special event and community fundraising to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will be an enthusiastic fundraiser, focused on building growth in our events portfolio and bringing creativity and events knowledge to the role. You will develop excellent relationships with our donors and corporate partners who engage in our events, supporting them to maximise their fundraising for the charity.
You will need to use your experience, creativity and proven event planning skills to ensure the success of our ambitious plans for achieving an effective events calendar for the charity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Events Fundraising:
- Work to achieve the Fundraising strategy by effectively initiating and delivering a calendar of challenge and special events suitable for our audiences across the UK, that will drive audience reach and income, focusing on delivering a good return on investment and achieving set objectives.
- Develop excellent donor journeys for all participants and attendees, putting in place effective and efficient processes and procedures.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to design and implement appropriate marketing strategies to maximise participation for all events including pre-, during- and post-event publicity.
- With support from the Communications team, develop timely social media content and achieve local media coverage by gathering compelling supporter stories.
- Ensure all supporter records are kept up to date with all interactions and the highest quality data is captured.
- Effectively follow all appropriate protocols and policies for the handling and receipting of donations and sponsorship monies and accurate recording of supporter information. Ensure all information is recorded in line with data protection legislation (GDPR).
- Work with the wider Fundraising and Communications Team to ensure a seamless donor experience for all and optimise cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
- Monitor progress against set KPIs, report analysis of challenge events to the Director of Fundraising and review performance to ensure effectiveness. Provide relevant data and insight to inform next steps and plans for future growth.
Community Fundraising:
- Work with the Director of Fundraising to devise and implement an annual fundraising plan for community fundraising.
- Work with the Regional Fundraising Managers to maximise opportunities for Community fundraising in the areas we work in.
- Steward all community fundraising activities in England, ensuring our supporters have all the information and materials they need to make their events a success.
- Proactively seek new community partnership opportunities. Liaise with relevant members of staff to attend new business meetings and write compelling cases for support to win local community partnerships.
Other:
- Deliver safe fundraising events and activities ensuring the charity always operates within legal requirements and best practice. Ensure risk assessments are completed on events.
- Be willing and flexible to work outside of office hours to attend events, when necessary. Must be willing to travel around the UK on occasions to attend fundraising events and activities.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Fundraising Expertise: A proven track record of achieving financial targets through fundraising activities, ideally in mass participation and/or special events.

The Head of Alumni Engagement and Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for fostering strong relationships with Ackworth School’s Old Scholar community, supporting the long-term interests of the school as we head towards our 250th anniversary in 2029. Ackworth School, a co-educational boarding and day school, was founded in 1779 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). About BDCA: BDCA is a dynamic community-led charity that has been serving the residents of the London Borough of Newham since 1998. Our motto is, “working together to change lives and transform our community” and over the past two decades we renovated four previously dead, disused spaces into lively local hubs. From these venues, our diverse team of locally-based staff and volunteers deliver targeted activities for people of every generation from children and their parents, young people and elders too. We also run programmes providing accessible sports, healthy food, poverty support and volunteering. Across all these projects, our mission is to break down barriers, bring people together and build people up.
Job Aim:To work with the Youth Project Coordinator to provide a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will assist in delivering against the partnerships successful EMPOWER youth services commissioning bid to Newham Council. The service provides 10 weekly universal activities across East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19 including:
- Three outdoor MUGA sports sessions per week.
- Three youth hub session per week which includes branched off projects such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
- EKO Pathways after school delivery sessions, helping to support children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
- Outdoor parks MUGA session
- Year-round trips and residentials
- Youth Theatre
- Delivery of three-week summer holiday scheme which involves volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants and employment for additional young people. This includes Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops.
