About the Role

Reporting to the Legacy & In Memory Campaign Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the in memory giving programme and be the first point of contact for all in memory supporters. You’ll be developing and delivering engaging fundraising campaigns across different channels as part of our strategy to inspire people to give in memory of a loved one and to increase the income we’re able to raise so that we can reach and help more veterans. Developing relationships with supporters will be one of your strengths and you’re passionate about providing the best supporter experience for supporters across the charity. About Us

The Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) is a Home Office-funded organisation working to increase awareness of the risks of strangulation, develop a research evidence base, and improve responses to victims and survivors. Since our establishment in 2022, we have become a recognised centre of excellence in this field, working in partnership with SafeLives and Bangor University.

As part of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine (FFLM), we collaborate with key stakeholders to influence policy and best practices in addressing strangulation within domestic abuse, sexual violence, and other contexts.

About the role
 

After a significant period of growth we are now looking to hire a Virtual Challenges Manager. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing relationships with our charity partners as well as the performance and development of our moderators.

We currently have a team of 30 Moderators and Team Leaders (self employed contractors) who work across a wide range of Social Fundraising Challenges. During peak times we can support up to 25 events in any one month.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of our team of talented moderators by monitoring their KPIs and performance, developing and implementing training, and taking an active role in the recruitment of new starters. 

You will manage a portfolio of charity partner accounts to provide the best possible service and support, to maximise income generation and ensure challenges run to an exceptional standard.

You will also line manage our Virtual Challenges Officer, and work closely with them to ensure the smooth running of our events.

We’re looking to recruit a Marketing Campaigns Officer with experience in running marketing campaigns to proactively contribute to the development and delivery of our membership campaigns and communications and engagement activity.

About the role:
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub. You will be home-based with frequent travel across the London Boroughs and the South East of England, but initially predominantly working in and around Greater London.  Note - some work outside this area may be required.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers.

You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a person located in or close to Greater London, and willing to travel across the South East of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Establish new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Maintain current Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the national Hub
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products

In the role of Senior Peer Support Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop a healthy group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

You will be an inspirational and energetic team leader with experience in providing day-to-day line management and operational support for a small team.

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater London and willing to work initially across the London Boroughs and into the South East of England. This role may involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated Development staff.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events
• Work creatively to set up and develop new sustainable in peer support groups, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency.  Existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support will need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreements across the team, in addition to the development of new groups
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups
• Deliver training to support group leaders (group roles and responsibilities, safeguarding, setting up, running, and promoting a group)
• Develop strong boundaries and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment, and community
• Support established groups in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community
• Help develop and deliver a service blueprint for sustainable peer support groups, thinking strategically about how to develop groups
• You'll collaborate closely with the ‘Hub’ team to provide a joined-up and positive user experience for kinship carers. This collaborative approach is key to our success and ensures that kinship carers receive the best possible support
• Manage special interest groups and regional online groups as required, transitioning to ‘Hub’ team for sustainability and work with partners

This role will support the Events Development Manager in the planning and delivery of online and digital events, as well as an expanded events programme that aligns with the RSPB’s strategic goals. The Senior Events Officer will play a critical role in operationally leading parts of this programme, deputising for the Events Development Manager, and using their expertise to execute the strategy.

What's the role about? 

The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for delivering multiple, simultaneous projects while managing diverse stakeholders and collaborating with teams across the RSPB, partner organisations and agencies.

A key area for this role will also be to curate, develop, and deliver innovative, high-quality events and experiences that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement. You will focus specifically on delivering events that reach and converts new audiences and help to retain members and courage lifetime value using innovative approaches and event delivery. You will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including risk management, communication plans, and live event coordination (both in-person and virtual).

Operational Focus

• Prepare event briefs with key stakeholders to ensure that clear objectives and outcomes are set, monitored, and delivered.
• Produce, project management, and deliver events to an exceptionally high standard using project management tools and risk plans.
• Live manage events to ensure they run smoothly and achieve their outcomes.
• Attend and contribute to workshops and project meetings, ensuring that project needs are articulated and understood.

Strategic Impact

The Senior Events Officer will directly contribute to the RSPB’s mission by supporting the engagement of more diverse audiences, enhancing member value, and driving income generation. Your leadership in implementing the events programme ensures the organisation’s continued growth and ability to inspire action for nature.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: 

• A degree or equivalent professional qualification in event management, marketing, or a related field, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience managing and leading large-scale events of over 1000 people, from concept through to implementation and evaluation
• Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of event marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to write and produce engaging content, including copy writing, and in-person delivery to influence and represent the directorate and the organisation
• Expertise in working with tracking, measurement, and analytic tools to assess event success and deliver detailed event insight.
• Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies
• Budget management of significant >£50k budgets

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across teams in complex structure organisations
• Experience in managing and prioritising multiple objectives, workstreams and communication priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to present, influence and represent the directorate and the organisation.

Help build powerful and sustainable communities of peer support groups for kinship carers.

About the role:
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Who we are looking for: 

We are seeking an person who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the development of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Maintain current Peer Support Group levels, taking the lead from the national Hub
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide support and training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

We are ideally looking for candidates based close or within easy reach of our priority development areas which include; Reading, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Slough and Hampshire but also able to travel to other key locations across the South East and along the M4 corridor.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events
• Set up and develop sustainable in person peer support groups, initially attending and leading sessions in person before transition to self-sufficiency
• Working with existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support that need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreement, in addition to new groups. Targets are subject to change and are not fixed
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups
• Assist with the delivery of training to support group leaders and groups to become self-sufficient
• Develop strong boundaried and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment and community
• Support established groups (including independent) in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community
• Follow (and where appropriate support further development off) the service blueprint to develop sustainable peer support groups
• Collaborate with the Peer Support Hub team to provide a joined-up and positive user experience for kinship carers
• Manage special interest groups and regional online groups as required, transitioning to ‘Hub’ team for sustainability and work with partners 

Service quality, development and data management:

• Accurately record all recruitment, contact information and volunteer case management in Salesforce in line with service framework and data protection requirements
• Ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce to support service performance, evaluation and learning
• Provide regular reports to ensure targets and SLA are met for the service
• Support continuous development and improvement of the service (new systems and processes) as required

The Director of Income Generation is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive income generation and fundraising strategies to support the financial long-term sustainability and growth of the organisation. The charity are a digital-first organisation and will appoint a new Director that aims high, thinks big, and takes the right risks. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director will direct and generate new fundraising ideas, products and opportunities for income generation in a digital delivery context. The Director will oversee proposals and funding applications to grant making trusts and lead the expansion of the major donor base.  

The selected candidate will have demonstrable experience in a national charity combined with successful fundraising leadership experience managing budgets, fundraising strategy and team and will have demonstrable experience in a senior or strategic leadership role. You will have a proven track record of leading, motivating, and inspiring teams and departments to be successful in fundraising and income generation growth.

About The Murray Parish Trust

Children with a serious illness are three times more likely to struggle with their mental health. Their childhoods are overshadowed by coming to terms with diagnosis, hospital stays, treatment, feeling different from friends or managing how their illness affects daily life. Many of them struggle with severe anxiety and depression, experiencing isolation and trauma during their journey. These children are at much higher risk of long-term mental health difficulties that are more complex and difficult to treat, on top of living with often complex medical needs.

Actors Jim Murray and Sarah Parish’s first daughter, Ella-Jayne, was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome in 2009 and spent half her short life in paediatric intensive care, Southampton Children’s Hospital. Ella-Jayne died, at home, just eight months old. After they recovered from the immediate horror, Jim and Sarah felt an overwhelming drive to help other children and families and founded The Murray Parish Trust in 2014. They were awarded MBE’s in the King’s New Years Honours 2025 for services to seriously ill children and their families.

Our charity delivers projects that support the mental health of seriously ill children and their families. We improve access to specialist, imaginative and empowering support, at the earliest possible moment, to prevent long-term mental health difficulties. We do this by delivering a vast range of projects in children’s hospitals, hospices and other health or community settings across the UK. These include drama, dance, art, nature and music therapy; bereavement and mortuary suites, distraction equipment that reduces anxiety, sanctuary and quiet rooms; sibling support; counselling and therapy rooms; and psychological support for children/family members.

The role - Head of Public Fundraising and Operations

This is an exciting new chapter for The Murray Parish Trust. Our new Head of Public Fundraising and Operations will work closely with the Board of Trustees and our Head of Philanthropy and Projects to scale our impact and expand reach nationwide. They will play a pivotal role in leading operations and shaping the charity’s future, as well as leading on growing income from community, corporate, individual fundraising, which have been identified as strategic fundraising priorities.

We anticipate time will be split roughly equally between leading public fundraising and operational management. There is some freelance support with marketing, corporate and community fundraising, and volunteer coordination, plus trustee support with events; there is scope to expand the team as income grows. This role will support their work as well as personally deliver public fundraising activity, taking sole responsibility for individual giving and legacies.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising: Work alongside with the Head of Philanthropy and Projects to implement the fundraising strategy, including:

• Delivery of the specific fundraising activity delegated to this role to grow income year on year (individuals, community, corporate, legacies, events), supported by the work of freelancers.
• Strategic oversight of all public fundraising including monitoring, evaluating and reporting to the Board.
• Ensure excellence in donor stewardship that helps retain, grow and diversify support from existing donors.
• Maintain a proactive focus on donor acquisition, across the UK, prioritising areas where we have projects.
• Effectively utilise the CRM to proactively and accurately capture donor information and consents.
• Strong focus on return on investment to ensure efficiency in working nationwide, carefully prioritising activity.

Charity management and operations

• Help to shape organisational strategy, using data insight to drive decision making.
• Data management lead; incl. CRM management, data protection, embedding a culture of data collection.
• Lead on setting and managing annual income and expenditure budgets.
• Ensure compliance with the latest regulatory requirements and sector best practice.
• Coordinate and manage policy, procedure, risk management and wider charity administration.
• Provide support for financial management; incl. outsourced book keeping/monthly management accounts; working with accountants to ensure timely production of the Annual Report and Financial Statements
• Work closely with Board members with specific lead responsibility, incl. with the Treasurer in the production of cashflow and other financial reports.
• Supported by the volunteer coordinator (freelance), manage and develop a network of volunteers and ambassadors (e.g. talks, photo calls, events, collection tins, admin, research).
• Act as Secretary to the Board; including statutory filing, coordinating quarterly meetings and taking minutes, compiling/circulating Board papers, diarising other meetings and communication as needed.
• Represent the charity externally with diverse stakeholders.
