Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategy and Planning:

Job Summary 

The purpose of this role is to bring additional operational capacity to new church plants and partnerships. This role will work across multiple partnerships on a fixed term basis to support the operational set up of new partnerships, and leading on operational improvements where there are existing processes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare. 

The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging.  Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. About Chapter One

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. About the role 

Chapter One is seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner and volunteer experience. 

Reporting to our Head of Corporate Partnerships, and responsible for the line management of our Corporate Partnerships Officer, you’ll deliver on our annual volunteer and income targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (target 87%). This will involve supporting the account management of a portfolio of existing partners and the responsibility to nurture relationships to increase partner investment in Chapter One over time. The role involves collaborating across departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for volunteers and partners

Key Responsibilities

Partner Stewardship

• Lead the account management of a selected portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring Chapter One achieves its annual retention and growth targets 

• In collaboration with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, devise effective schemes of delegation and partner allocation within the Corporate Partnerships Team 

• Focus, in all corporate partnership discussions, on maximising income

• Lead on producing high quality written communications, reports, proposals and pitches as per the requirements of each partner, collaborating with the Data and Systems Officer and Fundraising team as needed

Partner/volunteer onboarding and experience

• Alongside the Head of Corporate Partnerships, use internal systems to assign partner teams and volunteers to specific schools and ensure that their needs are met

St George the Martyr, is an architecturally significant Grade II* listed church in Bloomsbury and an important part of London's Georgian and Victorian Heritage. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Capital Project Manager to lead the Development Stage of a major conservation and improvement project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of London’s most important historic churches and play a key role in its restoration and renewal.

About the Role
As a Client Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of our vision for the future of St George the Martyr, including saving the church, classed as Heritage at Risk, and creating a welcoming, active and inclusive church that engages people traditionally under-served by heritage. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all areas of the PCC’s activity in the Development Stage of the capital project, supporting a team of specialist consultants and the Design Team. Working closely with the Rector and Project Board, you will lead the internal and external project team, ensuring the Client’s interests are represented throughout.

About You

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing all aspects of the capital project on behalf of the client.
• Coordinating and procuring the multi-disciplinary project team and consultants.
• Managing the project budget, reporting to funders, and ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
• Acting as the key liaison with stakeholders, funders, and the Project Board.
• Overseeing design development, procurement, risk, and programme delivery.

You will need:

• Strong project management skills, ideally with a recognised qualification (e.g., APM, RICS, PRINCE2).
• Experience delivering multi-million-pound, heritage-focused capital projects.
• Understanding of heritage and faith sectors, particularly Church of England contexts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• A strong commitment to inclusion and community involvement.

About the role

The Media, PR & Digital Manager leads and supports the delivery of flexible, cost-effective and class-leading media, marketing, and digital communications. This role ensures MSSC achieves its objectives across campaigns, fundraising and policy through targeted and effective profile building in the media and across multiple online platforms.

The post holder will manage media communications activities, delivered in-house or outsourced as appropriate, to meet the needs of MSSC while maintaining the charity’s image, values and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Media & Public Relations

• Proactively explore national and regional opportunities for media coverage, establishing effective media links to raise the profile of the organisation.
• Lead and coordinate integrated media campaigns alongside digital marketing efforts for maximum impact and coverage.
• Support communication with MSSC’s internal and external stakeholders on sensitive media matters.

Marketing & Digital Communications

• Manage and coordinate the use of digital channels, including intranets, websites and social media.
• Lead the development and support of the DAMS (Marketing Hub) to facilitate effective brand and campaign management.
• Contribute to the production of high-quality, on-brand marketing materials, ensuring they meet deadlines and engage target audiences.
• Assist with website development and paid digital marketing campaigns.
• Develop and maintain MSSC’s social media channels and other digital communication platforms.

Requirements

• Degree graduate or equivalent and experience in a communications environment.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Experience in developing and maintaining good working relations with journalists and media specialists.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with good attention to detail.
• Understanding of principles of media, PR, social media and communications.

We are seeking a passionate, connected and well-organised leader, to manage and develop our Church Engagement team and mission with UK churches, networks, community groups and volunteers. The Church Engagement team sits within the External Engagement Department, which covers areas including communications, publications and resources, press and media, digital content and marketing, fundraising appeals, church engagement, events and volunteers. Teams work closely together on shared activities to ensure that the strategy is connected and delivers a coherent public message, maximising every potential opportunity to increase income and deepen understanding and engagement. Other office staff include those focused on operations and finance, as well as a small Development Team engaging with major donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people in the Middle East and North Africa.  You will help to manage, maintain and increase income and engagement through the following key responsibilities:

·Work with the team to implement strategies for growing key areas of income and engagement with churches and individuals, maintaining prospect lists, communicating with churches to resource and increase engagement.

·To manage, motivate and support a diverse team in different geographical locations and working patterns.

·To assist with delivering the church partnership and media projects programme, inviting church leaders and churches to join, helping research, prepare and send project proposals, reports and associated resources.

·To analyse current church giving patterns and identify pathways to increase engagement, levels and forms of giving (including individual giving in conjunction with other team members).

• Drive online income generation through effective use of digital fundraising platforms, social media, and supporter journeys.

Overall purpose of the role

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional communications to enhance Orbis UK's profile in both the UK and the Middle East. The position is responsible for implementing strategic plans for UK and Middle East audiences, while supporting the Media and PR Manager in boosting Orbis UK's brand presence. The role also includes leading reputation and crisis management responses and plans.

The Media and PR Manager reports directly to this position, and together, they will collaborate to deliver effective communications plans. There will also be opportunities to work with the wider Orbis UK communications team on cross-departmental campaigns, appeals, and events, including VIP visits and integrated marketing campaigns.

This role encompasses communications planning, media relations, stakeholder management, reputation management, copywriting, and at times, event coordination. It requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage projects across different teams and countries. The role is responsible for three key areas of work:

i) Overseeing the delivery of the media and PR strategy to increase brand awareness of Orbis within the UK and the Middle East through pitching and placement of high-quality media coverage, proactive PR initiatives and reactive press office opportunities within a range of publications that align with our target audiences and partnerships. This will include managing the Media and PR Manager, working with key stakeholders such as the Royal Press Office and key funding and programme partners, and supporting delivery of Orbis UK integrated marketing campaigns

ii) Implementing grant communication plans by creating content for website, social media and press activities for key partnerships

iii) Protecting the reputation of Orbis UK through crisis comms management 3
