Healthwatch Barnet is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future.

Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. We are looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer to join the Royal British Legion’s London-based team. This role will see you help to shape and carry out RBL’s public affairs and campaigning activities at a national level, and to devise and deliver our political engagement events and campaigning work in Westminster.

Are you our new Digital Communications Officer?
We are looking for a creative social media native who is comfortable not only with presenting UWC to different audiences but also collaborating and supporting our different stakeholders in doing so. You will join the Communications and Engagement Team at the UWC International Office (UWCIO) which consists of six people and report to the Digital Communications Manager.
As a Digital Communications Officer, you will create, develop and deliver content across all UWC International’s social media channels in line with our social media strategy and lead on sourcing or creating the relevant, required reporting to demonstrate engagement and impact. You will also support UWC’s truly global network of volunteers through digital resources, templates and training. In doing so, you will use your digital communications skills for the better, contributing to the success of the movement and supporting young people to access transformational educational opportunities they would otherwise not have dreamt of.
Part of the larger Advancement Team at UWC International, the Communications and Engagement Team provides the UWC movement with strategic leadership, support and advice in the area of internal and external communication, PR, promotion, marketing, crisis communications, alumni and wider community engagement, and partnerships with other organisations. The Team has a coordination and support function for teams across the UWC International Office, as well as other UWC stakeholders globally, such as UWC schools, colleges, national committees and governance bodies. Job description
Following a restructure, DMI is looking to recruit a Grants Management Officer. This new role will provide a critical link between DMI’s national teams, HQ staff, and donors. It is an ideal role for somebody wanting to work in international development / public health as you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks and will work across all of DMI’s projects. You will also have exposure to DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, a new committee that aims to exploit the knowledge and experience of our national leadership. To succeed, you will need to be well-organised and a highly proficient writer (in English). You will also need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to liaise independently with senior staff in the UK and in DMI’s national offices.
More specifically, the Grant Management Officer role will include the following responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Head of Operations, collating, revising, and submitting project reports to donors and other stakeholders. This will require regular collaboration with DMI’s national teams (who will typically draft the reports) and other staff at DMI HQ
- Assisting with the effective and efficient implementation of procurement processes across the organisation, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in accordance with DMI’s and donor’s requirements
- Assisting national teams, and relevant staff at DMI HQ, in ensuring that project activities are in compliance with donor guidelines, contractual obligations, and any relevant statutory or legal constraints

Person specification
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- A good degree in a relevant field (international development/relations, public health, social sciences etc), or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interpersonal and, particularly, written communication skills in English, capable of engaging convincingly and professionally with staff at all levels internally as well as with external stakeholders.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Highly proficient IT skills. Competence in routine office applications is essential, experience with relevant specialist software (project management, GIS etc) an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving ability, willing and able to present solutions to operational challenges as well as the challenges themselves.
- The ability to understand different cultural contexts, especially those in sub-Saharan Africa.

- To ensure there is a weekly, monthly and seasonal horticulture plan in place (created in partnership with the Support Workers) which reflects the resources needed for client activities, product sales development and events
- To advise and support the Skills and Activities Coordinator in developing practical skills and/or qualification for people/groups using and supporting the sites development to encourage independence and empowerment
- To mentor and coach those using the sites services to lead and shape the sites programme of development as a sustainable community space and social enterprise.
- Work one Saturday per month, as agreed with the Service Development Manager, to open the nursery to volunteer project gardeners, and as a produce sale point to the local community
- In collaboration with the Skills and Activities Coordinator and Admin Support, to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met, including site and individual risk assessments, and regularly reviewed to ensure a level of professionalism is being kept at all times
- To manage the Support Workers and Skills and Activities Coordinator, and support the charity’s drive toward values-based recruitment and leadership of its staff, volunteers and those using its services and to ensure staff recognition is held as a core value.

As part of its strategy, The Trust has ambitious plans to grow its access to the workplace programmes at both pre and post 18 age groups, in new and innovative ways. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Programmes Senior Officer to join our team and support the expansion of the Sutton Trust programmes.
The successful candidate will deliver the existing Careers Plus programme and will be responsible for s setting up two new industry strands in Tech and Consulting. They will also be responsible for the employer engagement of its Pathways to Engineering programme. They will join a small team and will play an important role in contributing to the on-going success of our programme work and industry engagement strategy.
The Senior Officer will work closely with the Programmes and Development teams to develop and deliver impactful programmes across a range of sectors. This is an extremely exciting time to be at the Trust and the role will require individuals to be creative and to think strategically about our approach.
This role will fit into a team of nine, led by the Head of Employability, and will be line managed by the Senior Employer Engagement Manager.
Main duties
- Plan and implement delivery for the three Careers Plus programmes, including skills sessions, work experience and mentoring across a range of sectors (Tech, Consulting and Law)
- Liaise with external delivery organisations to ensure the sessions and content of the programme meets its intended aims
- Recruit and manage a cohort of Careers Plus students (three strands, 30-60 students per strand), leading on communication to drive engagement and attendance across programme activities
- Evaluate the programme activities and delivery model to enable future programme development
- Supporting the effective delivery of high-quality in-person and virtual work experience and employer engagement as part of the Trust’s Pathways to Engineering and Access Apprenticeships in Engineering programmes.
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders such as employers, universities, and Sutton Trust colleagues to match students with relevant employer engagement activities.
- Following up with students in the case of any unexpected absence or non-attendance at work experience placements.
- Working with employer partners to promote volunteering opportunities at Engineering Pathways and Apprenticeship events in person and online.
- Working closely with the Senior Employer Engagement Manager and the Development team to manage and steward a range of placement providers and funders.
- Working with the Development team, manage the evaluation and reporting of programme activities including reporting/presenting to funders

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:
- Leading projects, including planning, administration and delivery;
- Delivering young person facing interventions, ideally with experience of digital delivery
- Facilitation of sessions with young people in person or online
- Building and maintaining relationships diverse stakeholder groups young people, universities and employers
- Monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and administration
- Using data to design and deliver programmes
- Using a CRM (ideally Salesforce)
- Working within or an understanding of the not for profit sector
We are also looking for an individual who:
- Is sympathetic to the aims of the Trust and its mission to address educational disadvantage
- Has knowledge and experience of the higher education and/or education and/or careers sectors
- Has strong analytical and problem solving skills, and uses their initiative to identify issues and propose improvements to programmes or processes

Terms of Appointment
- Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed term contract
- Salary: £34,000-£36,000

The Diocese is seeking a Church Building Support Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract, to work closely with parishes to help secure sustainable futures for some of our most historic and cherished church buildings. You'll help PCCs to identify and explore complimentary non-worship uses for their buildings, helping them to become vibrant and viable centres of mission and community life. You’ll support them in ensuring the church buildings are fit for the future, fostering greater community engagement, and developing long-term sustainability strategies.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a developing church buildings strategy, shaping the future approach to church building support within the Diocese. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to bring these strategies to life, ensuring that churches remain places of worship, community activity, and cultural significance.
This is a new fixed-term post funded by the Church Commissioners of the Church of England through their Buildings for Mission funding. The funding is for an initial period of twenty months, ending in September 2026, unless the funding is extended.
The main responsibilities of the Church Building Support Officer are:

An opportunity has arisen to join our Localities team as a High Rise Officer. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing a tenancy and customer related service at our Elizabeth House and DeMontfort House properties in Leicester.
As the main point of contact for residents, you will be able to develop connections with the residents and the community. You will also show a professional and proactive approach when dealing with any queries or concerns.
You will be the primary responder in the case of emergency incidents, which will need to be handled in a calm and swift manner. It is paramount that important processes are followed, with critical information being recorded accurately and messages passed on to the responsible managers and emergency services.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 to 5. You will be required to be on an on-call rota every 3 weeks to respond to any emergencies at the High Rise properties. Due to the requirement to be on call, candidates will require a driving license and the ability to drive to the site within 20 minutes. You will be working with our Localities team and you will occasionally be required to support our patch across the Midlands.
What could you be doing?
- Support new and existing tenants to sustain their tenancy, identifying any vulnerable tenant’s needs and assessing any risk so that measures to support them can be put in place.
- Ensuring fire assessments are carried out and management plans are compliant in line with group policies and procedures.
- Maintain a record of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for customers who may be at increased risk of being unable to self-evacuate from the building in the case of an emergency.
- Ensure effective management of tenancy issues such as Anti-Social Behaviour, breaches of tenancy and tenancy adjustments.
- To ensure that issues pertaining to safeguarding are reported to the local authority and any required remedial actions are performed.
Some things we need from you:
- Housing management experience, preferably gained within High Rise living facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, which will allow you to communicate effectively with customers who may be upset or distressed.
- Experience of conducting fire risk assessments.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, stay calm when under pressure and have a proactive approach to your work.
- A driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- The capability to accurately record and report incidents
- A basic DBS check is required for this role.
