Job Purpose:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will act as a resource for The Robin Cancer Trust, beneficiaries, healthcare professionals and the wider public on germ cell cancers. The role includes service delivery and development, reviewing our health information and health education and awareness training resources, and supporting the creation and facilitation of a new Medical Advisory Group for Robin Cancer Trust. They will also work with the CEO to contribute to wider work to streamline and develop the services offered by The Robin Cancer Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead responsibility for keeping up to date with clinical updates relating to germ cancer and communicating these to the team to inform service development and delivery.
- Research, create and provide accessible information and resources on all aspects of germ cell cancer (detection, treatment, recovery and survivorship)
- Oversight of the content provided in all training materials, resources and information developed by the wider team relating to germ cell cancer detection, treatment and recovery and survivorship.
- Build external stakeholder and peer relationships with other key cancer partners including hospital networks, cancer care partnerships, and other voluntary sector providers. Playing an active role in the germ cell cancer community.
- Working as a core part of the Robin Cancer Trust team to engage people face to face, providing information and on early detection, treatment, and recovery.
Person Specifications
Essential qualifications:
- Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and a degree in a related subject.
- Post-registration qualification(s) in speciality or relevant subject cancer care.

About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions. The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians). At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary.
The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders.
Remuneration and time commitment
Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses) which is linked in the candidate pack. The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.
The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at 10 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7NG. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

The Co-Director of Strategy & Finance works closely with the Co-Director of Operations to ensure the sustainability, growth and success of Hackney Playbus and to ensure that families are placed at the heart of the charity's work.

The Principal duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
Governance
Ensuring that the charity is legally compliant, compliant with requirements of the Charity Commission and has the correct insurances in place for the charity’s activities and that these are reviewed annually.
Ensure systems are in place for the Board of Trustees to fulfil its statutory responsibilities and exercise effective control of the charity's affairs. Support trustee recruitment in line with Hackney Playbus procedures.
Ensure policies and guidelines are appropriate for the charity’s work and reviewed regularly by the Trustees, including annual reviews of Children’s Safeguarding, Data Protection policies and the Risk Register developing policy proposals as necessary
Report quarterly or as required to the Board of Trustees on progress against key strategic objectives, providing information and explaining performance
Strategic
To work with Trustees to ensure the charity’s vision, mission and strategic plans are reviewed in conjunction with key stakeholders including Hackney Playbus staff, volunteers and families.
To take Joint responsibility for achieving, monitoring and reporting on performance against targets in all areas of charity’s activities taking action as required
To be open to feedback and ideas for innovation and change while delivering consistent and reliable services

Financial
Ensure that income is maintained, expenditure controlled in line with budgets and potential risks are identified and managed
Draw up an annual budget for approval by Trustees
Liaise with appointed bookkeeper, ensuring timely payment of bills, invoicing for services, chasing of invoices for payment and maintenance of petty cash systems
Prepare contracts, apply for tenders, negotiate and agree contracts, service level agreements and acknowledge receipt of funds as required.
Oversee expenditure and management accounts ensuring that income and expenditure is monitored and reported quarterly to Trustees
Organise independent examination of accounts with appointed accountant
Review and make recommendations to maintain or change arrangements with accountants, bookkeepers and payroll service providers.
Income Generation
Develop income generation strategies to maintain and enhance levels of funding from existing sources and develop new funding streams
Work closely with and provide support to the Fundraising Officer on funding applications to ensure continuous and sufficient income
Work closely with the Co-Director of Operations to ensure that monitoring reports are submitted to funders in line with requirements.
HR
Recruit staff as required
Support and supervise Administration and Fundraising Officers
Ensure HR policies, procedures and staff contracts are relevant and reviewed regularly to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Promotion of Charity
Maintain effective networks with supporters and stakeholders
Network externally and develop partnerships to improve impact and sustainability
Ensure charity is presented in an appropriate and professional manner to its stakeholders including website, social media, annual, impact and reports
Represent the charity in public forums and produce or commission written/digital material for promotion
Asset Management
Overall responsibility for asset management including Playbus vehicles, premises management, IT, utilities and other overheads.

Action for Conservation is a grassroots charity using pioneering approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. We're looking to appoint a Senior Programmes Manager - North West (Maternity cover) to help us shape and manage our programmes for young people nationally and lead our work in the North West.
Key terms

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.

About the role
The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for executing Pro Bono Economics’ (PBE) fundraising strategy under the Director of Development’s guidance. This role focuses on increasing and diversifying income through building relationships with trusts, foundations, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals, while also securing funding for specific research projects in collaboration with the research team. The role includes managing donor engagement, overseeing grant applications, leading a small team, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, all while maintaining operational oversight of the fundraising department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Though it took Sadie years to admit this to Sam, Marx did prove incredibly useful that summer. No, Marx wasn’t a game designer. He wasn’t an ace programmer, like Sadie, and he couldn’t draw, like Sam. But he did almost everything else for them, and his contributions ranged from the pedestrian, but necessary, to the creatively essential. Marx organised workflow, so Sadie and Sam were more aware of what the other was doing and what they needed to be doing. He made long lists of supplies they would need. He was more than liberal with his credit card—they always needed more memory and storage, and they were regularly burning out graphics cards—and he must have made fifty trips to the large computer store in Central Square that summer. The Operations team provides operational support to AIM (e.g., human resource management, finance, productivity). The team also supports our incubated charities, assisting with their initial set-up after the program so they can hit the ground running, as well as ongoing ad-hoc requests and advice as needed. Added to this, Operations supports other participants in programs run by AIM(e.g., people completing fellowships with our research team). While this is less than for the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, it increases as these programs mature.
Our Operations team currently consists of ~2.8 FTE – our Chief Operating Officer (previous Managing Director and CTO of Founders Pledge), our Director of Operations (with a mixed background in legal services, management consulting, and scale-up operations), and a Senior Operations Manager (with a background in risk and security management in low- and middle-income countries). The team also relies on external contractors for some of its functions (e.g., bookkeeping, legal advice).

Applicants will be asked to complete the following stages:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for growing income from our community fundraising and major donor relationships, so that an even greater impact can be made on adopted young people and their families. You will lead on all community fundraising initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and external challenge events. You will drive innovation in our approach to fundraising. In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership Team to help us secure and manage all key fundraising relationships with major donors.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supported by the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership team, take ownership of developing, delivering and monitoring fundraising events and activities in line with our fundraising strategy
· Manage existing and develop new innovative fundraising campaigns and activities to engage new and existing supporters & donors including legacies, external challenge events, digital fundraising campaigns, community activities, and large-scale events.
· Work with the team marketing lead to create compelling copy to promote events and help recruit supporters and donors.
· Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations including membership and community teams
· Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to support more community fundraising across the organisation, including volunteer fundraiser recruitment.
· Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.

This is an exciting and varied post as Deputy Director of Global Relationships within our Global Relationships Team, whose role will be to support our vision to equip the Methodist Church in Britain to be a growing, evangelistic, inclusive, justice-seeking and globally connected Church for the 21st century. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and professional leader within the Global Relationships (GR) team, part of the Mission Team as it fulfils its strategy in response to Our Calling and a Methodist Way of Life.
In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:
- Providing leadership for the development and delivery of our People to People programmes.
- Leading the delivery and engagement with Partner Church leaders at the Methodist Conference and Pre-conference Consultations.
- Engaging with global partners in developing the work of global topic network consultations.
- Leading on telling the story of our global connections across a variety of media to develop awareness and excitement for global aspects of mission in the 21st Century.
