Who we are

Kintsugi Hope exists to create a world where mental and emotional health is understood and accepted, with safe and supportive communities for everyone to grow and flourish.

Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold. The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique, than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars, it makes a feature of them.

Kintsugi Hope want to acheive our vision by partnering with local churches and christian charities, training them so they can run "Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups" in their community. A Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group offers a lifeline for those feeling overwhelmed—a safe, nurturing space where participants can discover tools for self-care and personal growth within a supportive community. These groups provide a structured yet adaptable series of sessions, blending group discussions with individual activities that empower participants to embrace their true selves, recognise their inherent worth, and build a more resilient, hope-filled future.

Kintsugi Hope equips passionate volunteers from churches, charities, and partner organisations to lead these transformative groups, bringing hope and healing to communities across the nation.

Kintsugi Hope is not just a charity. We have a vision of starting a movement of Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups where people can experience:
