Responsibilities of our Associate Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a Trust Board-approved Estates Strategy to ensure optimal property management
- Deliver substantial cost savings through in-house and outsourced service strategies
- Oversee capital development, environmental sustainability initiatives, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage logistics, fleet, and supply chain, ensuring efficient and cost-effective services across the charity
- Provide strategic oversight of the legal function and maintain a high standard of governance and compliance. Provide leadership across the directorate and line management to the senior team
- Work in partnership with outsourced providers and monitor an internal auditing procedure to measure the performance
About the Capital Estates & Facilities team:
In this role, you will lead a dedicated team including:
- Head of Legal Operations, Head of Property & Construction, Resources Manager
- People: Direct reports – 4; total team size – 28
- Financial Accountability: Revenue budget of £7m annually; Capital Programme of approximately £30m (phased £10m per year over three years)
What we’re looking for in our Associate Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities:
- An experienced, qualified Estates & Facilities Management professional with:
- Proven experience at a senior management level in a large, complex organisation, demonstrating strategic and operational leadership
- Strong background in contract negotiation, estates management, and compliance in facilities
- Knowledge of large service contracts, experience of successful contract negotiation and long-term contract management
- Specialist knowledge regarding compliance issues in estates, fleet and facilities
- Experience in capital planning and development with an ability to lead significant change management projects
- Expertise in environmental management, health and safety, and budget oversight.
- First degree or equivalent professional award in appropriate Estates and Facilities Management
You will also demonstrate:
- Leadership qualities with the ability to influence and inspire a diverse team
- Strong analytical skills and project management expertise
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, fostering positive relationships
- Ability to challenge, confront and turn around any adverse performance
- Confidence to advise Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organisation, founded in 1980 with a shared global mission to accompany, serve and advocate alongside and for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. Our work is based on hospitality, carried out in a spirit of compassion and solidarity, encouraging participation and community, aiming to kindle hope, secure justice and affirm the dignity of refugees and forced migrants. Based in the Hurtado Jesuit Centre in Wapping, East London, JRS UK supports refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and works in wider collaboration with JRS offices around the world.
We employ 29 full-time and part-time staff and have around 100 volunteers, from a wide variety of backgrounds, nationalities, and generations; people of all faiths and none; including refugees, young graduates, and vowed members of religious congregations. In order to deliver our work, JRS UK generates around £1.8m in income each year, a substantial percentage of which is generously donated each year by Jesuits in Britain.
After nine years of successfully growing and developing JRS UK, our Director Sarah Teather is stepping down to pursue new projects. Under Sarah’s inspiring leadership, JRS UK has been on a transformational journey to mature as an organisation, now delivering a range of services including providing advice, support and hardship grants, outreach services and advice, including legal advice. Much remains to be done in serving the people we exist to support, and we seek a new Director to take over from Sarah.
Our new Director will, in collaboration with the Management Board, staff and stakeholders, build on developments of recent years and develop JRS UK’s strategic vision in response to changes in the external refugee and asylum-seeker environment, and be capable of reaching out beyond the current polarised debate to build mutual understanding.
We are looking for an expert leader and manager who brings knowledge and experience of the refugee sector. You will be participative in style, approachable, and committed to the JRS UK mission of walking alongside refugees. It may be that you already operate in a CEO role or similar, or that you are looking to transition into your first executive director role, while bringing transferable leadership experience.
You will be joining an exceptional organisation and will lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Fauna & Flora is seeking an experienced professional to support it’s fundraising from statutory (government and multilateral) donors.
You will support colleagues and partners to develop high-quality proposal packages and reports for priority donors and ensure their timely submission. You will work across the statutory funding portfolio, critiquing proposals, providing editing and formatting support, and ensuring that all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora’s approval and submission procedures. The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Fundraising Team as the Corporate (New Business) Development Manager.
As an integral member of Street League’s Fundraising team, you will play a key role in bringing in new corporate partners, working closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. You will be responsible for leading on the development and delivery of a targeted corporate new business strategy for Street League, the country’s leading sport for employment charity. You will research, cultivate, and secure a range of high value new business partnerships to support the on–going work and expansion of the charity.

This role sits within the Commercial Fundraising Team that currently manages an impressive portfolio of corporate partnerships including many household brands and FTSE 100 companies supporting Street League with funding, volunteering, awareness, and pro–bono advice.

This new post will form part of the management team and work closely with the Chief Executive and Director of Resources to plan and deliver the Thistle Strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership, strategic direction and overall accountability for person-centred activities and a strength-based approach, ensuring continuous improvement and delivery against quality standards.
- Ensuring managers are accountable for their own and their teams’ objectives.
- Representing Thistle with a range of stakeholders internally and externally and key contact for contracting organisations.
- Overseeing operational management targets particularly in relation to statutory compliance.
You should have both operational and strategic management experience within the health and/or social care sector and professionally qualified to SCQF level 10 or above in a relevant health/ social care qualification and hold appropriate leadership and management qualifications or demonstrate equivalent learning.

StreetGames is a charity passionate about harnessing the power of sport to change the lives of young people and their communities. Through our work with 1,500 trusted local community organisations, StreetGames addresses some of the most pressing issues faced by young people growing up in underserved communities, including poor mental health, food poverty, crime and lack of employment opportunities. We do this by delivering ‘Doorstep Sport’ at the right time, in the right place, in the right style, at the right price and by the right people. Doorstep Sport aims to make sport accessible to everyone regardless of their income and social circumstance.
About the role
- The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a workforce development plan to grow and maintain a workforce to enable an all year-round multi-sport offer in our priority places.
- The post holder will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of the StreetGames Workforce Development offer for the network of over 400 locally trusted organisations (LTOs) in London & the Southeast.
- The post holder will work with LTOs in the StreetGames network to enable them able to access workforce development opportunities that helps them to build capability and capacity, so they are better able to utilise the power of sport to transform young lives & underserved communities – which is core to the StreetGames mission and collective End Game.
- The post holder will work together with the StreetGames training academy and the network support teams to ensure that all LTOs in the network can access the StreetGames core offer appropriate to their workforce needs.
- The post holder will be supported by and work closely with the Development Director of London & Southeast, the Sport 4 Good Development Manager, National Training Academy and the wider StreetGames team.
- The post holder will adopt a ‘learning approach’ and regularly gather, and share, learning and good practice with LTOs and other strategic stakeholders from across the region. The post holder will require a blend of interpersonal skills, youth work, workforce development and sport specific knowledge.
- The post holder will showcase and demonstrate the positive impact that the StreetGames Training Academy & Workforce Development programmes will have on the network of locally trusted organisations to cement our reputation as an action-taking & doing national charity.
- The post holder will work with other regional leads and the central team to review, evolve, innovate and create our training academy offer to ensure it grows and develops so we can continue to meet the needs of our network & our young people in and out of our main priority places.
- The post holder will be required to engage and support LTOs through a range of approaches, including digital engagements and face-to-face meetings.
- The post holder will work with the fundraising and sustainability lead to review potential pipelines for more investment to deliver more training and workforce development opportunities across the region.
- The post holder will prioritise workforce development in our main priority places (Brent, Tower Hamlets, Barking, Lambeth, Haringey, Thanet) but also make sure organisations from elsewhere can still access a quality training and workforce offer to help them support young people through Doorstep Sport delivery.
