Our Communications and Awareness Executive will play a crucial role in the rollout of our awareness and education programmes to women and girls across the UK. This will include supporting our Education Manager with the rollout of year round activations across UK universities and schools as well as managing our social media accounts with educational content. 

This role is unique, from the breadth of responsibilities, to the ownership it allows for an individual to flourish and grow in their role. 

We are looking for a confident, outgoing individual, comfortable in managing competing priorities and who is able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be energetic, flexible and reliable in their day to day activities, have a keen eye for detail and excellent writing and organisational skills. Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the management and delivery of our student education programme across UK Universities.

• Management of our network of university student ambassadors across the UK.

• Managing the activation of our student ambassador network.

• Drafting of fundraising and charity activity impact reports.

• Administrative assistance to the wider team including calendar management, 

• Website management, email marketing and database management. 

• Work with our Lady Garden supporters with lived experience to help them share their stories and get involved with our social media, events and community programmes.

• Liaise with our social media agency to ensure growth across all our channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. This includes the Facebook for Business account and LinkedIn

• Support with capturing content for the Lady Garden Foundation’s social media sites - Instagram,  Facebook and Tiktok (possibly Twitter) as well as website, including support with writing blogs, posts and  multimedia content 

• Attend events when required, including occasional weekends and evenings and provide support to the wider team when required.

• Awareness and research of key health issues and updates in the gynae arena (general)

• Awareness and research of activity from other charities within the sector (general)

• To undertake other duties across the Lady Garden Foundation that may be required.

Qualifications and Skills:

About the Role

As Supporter Development Officer, you will deliver campaigns and activities for the Supporter Development side of the Individual Giving team, successfully managing the supporter development activity in line with the agreed annual targets and the Fundraising Strategy. About James’ Place

James’ Place Charity was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and

suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it. James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. James’ Place offers men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.

The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, and has to date supported more than 2,300 men experiencing suicidal crisis through our innovative and safe therapeutic intervention. Our club nights are fun-packed and educational and our members enjoy socialising with their friends whilst also trying out new experiences.  

Our members are the most important part of The Squad. They help to the run the clubs, vote on what we should include in our activity programmes and are involved in decisions about The Squad's future. 

This is a new role for our charity, and we are looking for an individual with experience line-managing people and/or operational delivery/service delivery, ideally within a small charity setting, however we would be interested in hearing from experienced professionals with transferable skills.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operational running of the charity, ensuring Thursday evening Squad sessions are delivered to a consistently high standard and that the charity is compliant with all relevant legislation and internal policies. They will have direct line-management responsibility of our two part-time group leaders who lead our Thursday evening sessions and who liaise directly with our members. The role will also include overseeing and driving forward initiatives around volunteer recruitment and onboarding for The Squad, plus supporting with fundraising opportunities on an ad hoc basis. 

Core role responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operational activities for the charity
• Line manage and support the charity’s two group leaders to fulfil their roles and develop their skills (remotely and in-person at Thursday evening Squad sessions), acting as point of contact/escalation where necessary
• Liaise with the trustee board as the interface between the group leaders and trustees, to escalate any issues and provide regular reports & updates on operational matters relating to the Squad
• Support delivery of Thursday evening club sessions from approx. 6.30pm-9.30pm

As Trust Officer, you will both work with existing trust supporters of WaterAid as well as recruit new donors to our cause. You will collaborate with colleagues in the UK and across the world to develop compelling proposals and reports, provide excellent bespoke stewardship, and meet with donors to understand their motivations and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships.

Stewardship of existing Trust Partners (30%)

• Implement the highest standards of donor stewardship to effectively and creatively manage a varied portfolio of WaterAid’s trust and foundation partners with a propensity to give between £25k-100k per annum and other non-financial support.
• Build excellent working relationships at all levels within trusts and foundations, including with senior staff and trustees in order to influence decision-making.
• Develop and implement stewardship plans for all relationships within the Officer portfolio, delivering against a personal income target. This will include producing engaging communications, organising meetings with trusts and making full use of WaterAid events as appropriate for different donors.

Development of new Trust Partnerships (50%)

• Proactively drive forward opportunities with trusts with a propensity to give between £25k-100k per annum who don’t currently support WaterAid, bringing them on board.
• Collaborate with Trust Team colleagues and our Prospect Research function to map funder networks and identify new funding opportunities.

Team systems, coordination and strategy (20%)

• Maintain and utilise our CRM database to manage account information and monitor donor performance in line with data protection regulations.
• Support the Trust Team as a whole with research and administration tasks as and when required.

Job Purpose

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Additionally, you will support the CEO in cultivating major gifts and managing corporate partnerships.

You will play a key role in providing collaborative support to our emerging fundraising effort in Uganda, particularly with their innovative 'Giving Circle' programme, which is backed by the Ugandan Board. Working closely with the communications team in Uganda, you will help deliver impactful campaigns that raise awareness and inspire donor engagement. In this role, you will also ensure the highest standards in database management and full compliance with data protection regulations.

This role will be UK-based, with occasional team meetings in various locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community Fundraising and Regular Giving:

• Develop and execute strategies to increase income from individual donors and community fundraising efforts.

• Manage and expand our existing personalised donor stewardship programme, enhancing engagement with regular givers while growing the donor base and building long-term partnership.

Harris Hill is working with a human right charity, find an interim Community Fundraising Assistant until April on a 14 hour per week basis.
