We are looking for an energetic Immigration Adviser to provide advice to destitute migrants accessing Mental Health services in several East London boroughs.
Praxis Community Projects is a dynamic, award-winning human rights charity supporting migrants in crisis or at- risk, ensuring that their essential human needs are met and that they are able to overcome the barriers they face. We provide legal advice, housing projects, and a range of welfare support services, including group work. We build community, challenge exclusion and discrimination, influence policy, improve services and inspire solidarity with migrants.
This project is delivered in partnership with ELFT – East London NHS Foundation Trust. Supported by a project supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall project and delivery of immigration advice and casework to migrants at risk referred by selected hospitals and other Community Mental Health services provided by ELFT. This service is delivered through a mixture of channels including telephone, digital, face-to-face and hybrid working. This role will likely involve significant amounts of outreach work to provide advice in the community and within health services, and collaboration with those health services will be key.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues faced by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at risk (including EU migrants). The post holder will have a good understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable migrants with complex needs and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders.

We are looking for a Conference Organiser who is highly skilled and experienced in delivering large scale conferences, exhibitions, and events and who will be responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and evaluating several complex and high-end conference for the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), a charity that that focusses on supporting doctors to deliver medical imaging and cancer services.
You will be required to work closely with the RCR Learning team and directly with the Events and Operations Manager, the Marketing Manager and the Corporate Partnerships Officer as well as working with a dedicated group of subject matter experts (SMEs) who will lead the clinical aspect of the programme creation. In addition to this you will also actively participate in an internal working group of key stakeholders and 3rd party providers to ensure the smooth running of the conference.
During the term of the role, effective evaluation and review will be required at all stages of the project including future proofing for the next event and supporting the identification of venues.
Strong financial knowledge and experience is essential, and we are seeking someone who has strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to ensure our conferences are delivered on time, with in budget supporting the organisational goal of financial sustainability.

The Role
This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality services offered by the Homeless Health Link Service, focusing on engaging homeless clients, including rough sleepers, in a range of primary care, mental health, and substance misuse services. Who we are
Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.
Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. We routinely secure mainstream media coverage, including on the BBC, ITV, Sky news, The Times, the Guardian, New York Times and many more.
Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.
We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected and are no longer exploited for human consumption.
About the role
An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.
Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.
An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. The role involves engaging with policymakers, building relationships with coalition partners, overseeing public affairs initiatives, and influencing Government policy to create meaningful changes for farmed animals.
General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Develop authentic, ambitious, and inspiring short-term and long-term policy goals that have the greatest impact for farmed animals. Maintain and develop the organisation’s policy statements, as required.
- Shaping policy initiatives: Influence decision-makers across the devolved governments. Identify ways to shape the debate, engage thoroughly in the legislative process to affect how farmed animal issues are framed, and maximise opportunities for targeted animal advocacy campaigns.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping: Identify and ensure regular engagement with key political figures and influencers, including ministers, politicians, civil servants, advisory bodies, officials, regulators, and local authorities. Propose ways to engage Parliamentarians and identify those with the potential to become champions for our cause.
- Influence decision-makers: Foster and maintain relationships with individuals critical to achieving successful outcomes for animals. Build on established relationships with individuals and bodies in a position to create lasting change for animals and convince influential political decision-makers to prioritise farmed animals in their funding and policy agendas.
- Produce compelling briefings: Develop high-quality, evidence-based responses to new policy developments, animal agriculture industry reports, Government consultations, and more. Craft politically persuasive briefings, including formal policy submissions, briefings, blogs, and press statements. Lead on the dissemination of relevant information to key political stakeholders.
- Work closely with campaigning colleagues: Work with colleagues in the Communications, Marketing, and Campaigns Departments to support the effective execution of public awareness campaigns that raise Animal Equality UK’s public profile and inform members of the public about the plight of farmed animals. Keep abreast of relevant political developments and maintain Animal Equality’s strong external policy presence through coordinated, proactive, and reactive lobbying and campaigning efforts.
- Grow strategically aligned partnerships: Liaise with and, where appropriate, convene fellow experts and advocacy organisations to gather intelligence, share best practice, and canvas opinion to inform policy positions. Support Animal Equality’s engagement in coalitions.
- Support in the organisation of events: Assist in the organisation of key events to inform and influence policymakers. Represent Animal Equality, where appropriate, at policy and networking events.
- Monitor outcomes: Measure, track, and critically evaluate policy developments, ensuring internal alignment on key issues and opportunities associated with our current campaigns. Manage against a set budget and agreed deadlines, reporting on the performance and progress against set deliverables. Share learnings with colleagues and fellow advocates.
- Support with other ad hoc duties, as requested by your line-manager.

Salary and benefits
Salary band £32,500-£35,000, depending on experience. This is a remote working opportunity (UK-based candidates only); colleagues are expected to attend mandatory monthly meet-ups in central London.

The Funding Management team is looking for a Funding Manager, in Belfast.
This role is responsible for all aspects of funding management across a portfolio of restricted funds, ensuring that we are meeting all the Funders and The Trusts requirements. Working effectively across teams to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance, to allow The Trust to maximise its support to young people.
You will use your contract/funding management skills to ensure that we are able to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance. By working across teams and drawing on your time management, leadership, communication, governance, audit and problem solving skills you will ensure that expenditure claims and reports are compiled accurately and in a timely fashion, and that we comply with all reporting and evidencing requirements for output monitoring.
You will to ensure that The Trust has accurate monthly accounts by preparing drawdown, accrual and deferral figures for the monthly finance return and regularly reviewing the Debtors Report to ensure sufficient cash flow and will manage all funder and internal audits and ensure recommendations are acted upon, sharing best practice across the team.

What the job involves
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Fundraising professional to join our Individual Giving Team, focussing on our mid value programme and assisting with the production and development of campaigns aimed specifically for this audience. Direct Marketing plays an important role in the organisation’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy, and we have seen a fantastic growth in our mid-value programme to date. As a Direct Marketing Executive, you’ll use a range of channel content to reach and meet the needs of your audience and tailor your approach based on audience insight.
You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to warm mid value audience, to engage them wider with the work of Prostate Cancer UK with the overall aim to increase their life-time value.
With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage direct marketing campaigns in the form of seasonal appeals, email updates, and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently review KPIs and make evidence-based choices to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.
What we want from you
Excellent knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment is vital, you’ll also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience of stewarding donors by understanding the importance of meeting their needs.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Knowledge of direct marketing and fundraising law would be advantageous as well as philanthropy experience.

About the role
The Director of Services leads all our member-facing services to ensure that they are run effectively, are mission-led and are guided by co-production. The post holder is responsible for overseeing business planning and managing income streams, ensuring financial sustainability. They will maintain all relationships with local authorities, Integrated Care Boards, and private funders, ensuring the quality of services and adherence to best practices, regulations, and legislation.

JOB SUMMARY
Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of a compliant and effective operation, she will provide direct line management for the Pathway Project domestic and sexual violence support, outreach and helpline teams. 1. STRATEGY, PLANNING AND CONTROL
a. To contribute to the setting of long-term Objectives, along with the CEO & Board.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Speak Out Facilitator to join our team. This is a fixed- term contract for 12 months, working full-time (35 hours per week) reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader.
The role will require working with the Connections Team Leader and people with lived experience to develop and deliver client focussed, innovative and high-quality projects/services to meet the needs of disabled and autistic people, people with learning disabilities, and those with experience of mental ill health.
The role entails supporting people with lived experience to deliver Oliver McGowan training sessions, co-produce new services, lead and/or attend external and internal meetings, promote clear communication, ensuring the views of their peers are captured, recorded and shared with those that can make a difference and help to identify campaigning issues.
You may need to travel to various locations such as training venues, homes and residential settings and be home based for administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection are essential.
About you
- Have experience in a role that requires outstanding communication skills to achieve excellent results – for example using different methods of communication to suit people with a learning disability.
- Are understanding of the various social, educational and emotional impacts facing people who have a lived experience of a learning disability (in a volunteering or employed role)
- Can prioritise and manage time effectively
- Can flexibly work within teams across the service, as and when required, to meet business needs
- Can travel between locations as required using either own or public transport
- Hold an Enhanced DBS with Child and Adults Barred lists or willing to obtain

You will work with the Connections Team Leader and people with lived experience to develop and deliver client focussed, innovative and high-quality projects/services to meet the needs of those with learning disabilities.
To support people with lived experience to lead and/or attend external and internal meetings, promote clear communication, ensuring the views others are captured, recorded and views put forward, resolve any differences and conflicts and identify campaigning issues.
