Job Summary
The purpose of the Area Giving and Finance Adviser role is to provide comprehensive finance support to churches within the Willesden Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. Additionally, the role entails promoting generous giving through training initiatives, facilitating the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds, and fostering effective communication and relationship-building between the Area team, Finance team, and parish officers.
Job responsibilities
Financial support

Enable churches to develop their respective ministries, manage their finances effectively, and meet their statutory responsibilities.

Provide finance and other appropriate training, support, resources and advice to the clergy, PCCs and parish officers.

Assist the Bishop, Archdeacons and Area Deans in managing Common Fund giving by the churches in the Area.

About the role
We’re looking for a case study officer to join our talented and ambitious press, PR and celebrity team.
The successful candidate will support all elements of the charity’s case study function including recruiting and engaging new individuals with the charity who are willing to share their personal experiences of breast cancer to support our work and managing and nurturing key relationships day-to-day so they have the best possible experience when supporting the charity.
A key element of the role will be supporting colleagues in the press, PR and celebrity team to identify and seize opportunities for case studies to share their experiences to raise awareness of breast cancer, Breast Cancer Now and how we’re here for anyone affected by this devastating disease.
You’ll will work with teams across the organisation to support them in sharing the voices of people affected by breast cancer through their work. Liaising closely with colleagues to understand where case study support is required, you’ll identify the people who, through sharing their personal experiences, can best support activities to deliver on charity objectives. Key to this will be gathering the relevant insight and identifying ways we can engage case studies with our work in a way that’s mutually beneficial.
About you
You’ll have a good understanding of issues impacting people affected by breast cancer. With this you’ll have an awareness of, sensitivity to and ability to adapt to their changing needs and circumstances and how this might impact their ability or wish to support the charity’s work.
When engaging individuals with sharing their story to support us, you’ll approach this work with professionalism, sensitivity and care at all times, being sure to identify opportunities bring about mutual benefit for both parties.
Handling sensitive information appropriately at all times is key to this role, and requires you to have a knowledge of GDPR regulations and a commitment to[VS3] following Breast Cancer Now’s compliance and confidentiality regulations. As a key member of the senior management team, the Finance and Operations Lead will ensure that the charity has robust financial management and oversight at all levels of the operation, along with responsibility for several key operations across the organisation to ensure the smooth running of the Hearts Milk Bank services. These will include procurement, HR processes, IT, volunteer management and support with event planning. You will be an integral part of a supportive team. Key roles and responsibilities:
- Management of the organisation’s daily financial operations.

Charity overview
The Human Milk Foundation (HMF) is a charity based at the Gossoms End NHS Health Centre in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Our goal is to support more families to feed their babies with human milk, through education, research and the supply of donor human milk.
We operate the UK’s first independent, non-profit human milk bank - the Hearts Milk Bank, providing donor human milk to neonatal intensive care units across London, the southeast, south Wales, Northumbria and East Anglia.
Much like donated human blood, there are situations where donated human milk can be lifesaving. Premature babies are very vulnerable and at risk of infections and life-threatening conditions such as necrotising enterocolitis (NEC), which causes some or all of the bowel to die. Mothers who have given birth early are sometimes unable to produce enough of their own milk straight away and can be very unwell themselves, so donor milk is often vital in protecting the baby during the first days and weeks after birth; it allows the mother the time and support to establish her own milk supply.
The HMB team recruit milk donors who undergo blood tests and complete a detailed lifestyle and health questionnaire before donating milk. Donor milk is collected from donors by volunteer SERV (“blood-biker”) volunteers and delivered to the milk bank where it is heat-treated (pasteurised) to destroy potentially harmful bacteria and viruses, checked by microbiologists to make sure that there is no unacceptable bacterial contamination and stored frozen. The milk is collected and delivered to hospitals and to mothers in the community who cannot breastfeed such as those with cancer, HIV or lack of breast tissue.
The HMB has recruited over 4,000 milk donors and supplied donor milk to feed thousands of babies, cared for in over 50 neonatal units. We have also supported more than 700 families in the community, including mothers who are establishing their own milk supply and mothers with cancer.
The Human Milk Foundation has a small team of dedicated individuals with a broad set of skills across medicine, lactation support, milk banking, research, and communications. We all have a great passion to make change to improve the health of babies, giving parents and families the support they need to be able to feed their babies, and new members of the team should share that passion.

As Complex Needs Practitioner you will engage young people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
Birmingham Young People’s Service provides holistic support services for young people 10 to 25 with needs related to alcohol and substance misuse, including those that are affected by a family members alcohol and substance misuse.
All Complex Needs Practitioners are expected to work days, evenings, and weekends across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, when required, which will need a flexible working pattern from the successful candidate. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health, social care, education, youth provision, and criminal justice.
As an energetic and confident self-starter, you will have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, Dip SW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we will consider candidates with experience of working in the health & social care field, education settings, alcohol, and substance misuse fields with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.
Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. Collaborating with the psychology team, you will help build a culture of respect, communication, and inclusivity. Additionally, you will listen to relatives' feedback and support the relative peer support group every other month.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, along with a strong understanding of dementia care, communication strategies, and relationship-centred care principles. A passion for person-centred care is essential, as is experience in healthcare, social care, or a related field with a focus on dementia care or RCC principles.
The candidate will also have leadership or coordination experience, particularly in facilitating team building, care-related workshops, and staff development. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
While understanding Jewish culture and familiarity with reflective practice and Schwartz Rounds are desirable, they are not essential.

The Global Programmes Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Global Programmes Division, helping to keep it running smoothly and effectively. This essential role will work across a range of departments within the Global Programmes division (Divisional Operations, Humanitarian, Programme Partnerships and Programme Quality and Impact).
In this role, your Key Accountabilities will be:
• Administrative Support: To develop and coordinate appropriate administrative systems, including: organising complex divisional or departmental level meetings, awaydays and events; coordinating desk booking and asset management; providing subject matter expertise (SME) for departmental staff organising their own travel.
• PA Support: To provide PA support to the Director of the Department or Global Programme Executive Director, including proactive diary management, meeting organisation, processing expense claims, collating briefings and pre-reads for meetings, responding to internal and external enquiries and booking travel.
• Team Support: To help teams navigate the processes that will support and enable administrative self-sufficiency.
• Finance: To support the processing of invoices and respond to queries from department and finance colleagues as necessary.
• People & HR: To support divisional or departmental HR processes through data collection and database management of mandatory tasks and training, providing SME support to people managers leading recruitment for their teams, and coordinating induction processes for utilisation by people managers for new staff. May provide more direct support to recruitment processes led by Directors.
• Internal Communication: To act as the initial point of contact for internal enquiries and requests for information about the work of the department, to triage or respond to ad hoc queries and to update information on the website, SharePoint and email lists. May work with others on coordinating and producing departmental or divisional level communications such as newsletters.
