About the role Finance Support and Service Officer

Sightsavers are excited to be recruiting a new team member to join their Burkina Faso country office. The Finance Support and Services Officer provides finance management support for the Country Office under the leadership of Finance Support and Service Manager.

Knowledge, skills and experience

In collaboration with colleagues the Finance Support and Service Officer will continually ensure quality and consistency of financial management in the country office. They will support the development of solutions to financial and support related problems, assist in the monitoring of country resource management and identify any risks or issues to the Programme Manager.

The post-holder will ensure financial management and risk mitigation are compliant with local regulations and adhere to the organisational Financial Framework by implementing financial controls, planning and budgeting. The role will lead support services for the country office by managing logistics of procurement supplies, manage payroll and work with programme and finance teams to review programme/project reports, planning and analysis, auditing of funds provided and grant management reporting.

The preferred candidate will have a relevant professional accounting qualification and a degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or related field. Previous experience working in an INGO environment is desirable, with experience of audit and government organisations being an advantage. A background in financial management is required, as are budget and data analysis skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Fluency/strong written and spoken English and French and current and ongoing right to work in Burkina Faso required.

We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for three Support Workers (Community Connectors – Assessment and Engagement Team) to join our team. We have three positions available in Aylesbury.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance use, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. As an organisation, we work predominantly with the Methodist Church of Great Britain, although not exclusively. Personal adherence to the Christian faith is not required, although you will be required to be respectful of the faith of others.

This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. Donor Management (~40%)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
• Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
• Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.
• Support high-value donor and corporate partner meetings, preparing personalised correspondence, proposals and briefs.

Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)

• Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team to plan, execute, and manage proposal development and annual appeal processes for fundraising campaigns, including donor and partner events, direct mail, and corporate initiatives.
• Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
• Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
• Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
• Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.
• Secure grant funding through research, proposal development, and managing the grant application process.

Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)

• Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
• Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required. 
• Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
• Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
• Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.

General Administration and Team Support (~10%)

• Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.
• Assist with special projects and additional fundraising and partnership tasks as needed.

· Superior communication and writing skills, with the ability to edit text written by others and generate new text; experience in crafting compelling pitches and proposals.

· High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and data management (experience with donor databases preferred).

· Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and use project management software (Notion) to plan and track projects and work collaboratively across teams.

· Experience with financial reporting and analysis in Excel/Google Suite.

· Strong understanding of sustainability issues, trends and the philanthropy sector, with a track record of aligning donor objectives with environmental and social responsibility.

· Experience working internationally and collaborating with people in diverse cultural and political contexts preferred.

We are looking for a Social Media & Engagement Manager to lead our organic social media team, driving awareness, engagement, and action across social media channels to support our mission of improving the lives of pets and people in need.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while covering maternity leave. You will track key performance metrics, identify trends, and optimise our approach to ensure we remain deliver for our audience and Blue Cross.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams across Blue Cross to ensure social media efforts are integrated with our broader communications strategy. Your role will include managing a talented social media team, external partners, and working across departments to deliver campaigns that increase engagement, build our community, and promote Blue Cross’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage our social media strategy to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and encourage action. Leverage social media insights to continuously optimise campaigns for maximum impact.
• Oversee the development and execution of engaging content across all social media platforms. Work closely with internal teams to scope, plan, and deliver content that aligns with Blue Cross’s mission and encourages audience participation.
• Manage and inspire a team of social media specialists, ensuring high-quality content and campaign delivery. Work with external partners to extend our reach and increase engagement.
• Use social media analytics tools to track performance, understand audience behaviours, and generate actionable insights. Use this data to refine our content strategy and enhance engagement across all channels.
• Utilise content creation tools to produce eye-catching social media visuals that encourage interaction and increase engagement.
• Develop and share best practices across Blue Cross, providing training to teams to improve their social media skills and enhance overall digital engagement.
• Monitor social media for potential issues and collaborate with senior management to ensure prompt and effective responses, maintaining a positive brand image and safeguarding Blue Cross’s reputation.

About you: 

You’ll have extensive experience in managing social media accounts for businesses or non-profits, including community management, content creation, and campaign execution. You are a creative thinker with the ability to deliver social media strategies that align with organisational goals and inspire your audience to take action.
 
You will be confident using social media analytics tools such as Sprout Social to analyse trends, performance, and user engagement, and you will be proficient in content creation tools like Canva to develop engaging social media assets. You’ll be driven by data and insights, and motivated to continuously improve Blue Cross’s online presence.
 
As a collaborative leader, you will enjoy working with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver exceptional results. You will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of pets and people.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Substantial experience managing social media accounts for businesses or non-profits including community management, content creation, and moderation.
• Experience developing and delivering social media strategies.
• Excellent knowledge of industry best practice, social channels and tools including analytics and social listening platforms. 
• Experience monitoring, analysing and reporting on social media performance, and using insights to optimise activities. 
• Demonstrable experience working with and influencing stakeholders with different skillsets and levels of seniority.
• Good organisational and project management skills.
• Strong line management skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.

LitterHeroes Programme Manager

Salary: £ 27,665p.a. - £34,581p.a. dependent on hours

The successful person will have experience in project management, budgets, managing staff and volunteer engagement skills. 

This role sits within the Volunteering & Community Engagement team who run a range of programmes and activities for volunteers and will be responsible for the development, management and coordination of the Keep Britain Tidy LitterHeroes programme.

The role will engage with our dedicated volunteers in both the LitterHeroes and LitterHeroes Ambassadors networks who are taking action on litter across the country.

The aim of this role is to develop and deliver the programme to increase the impact our volunteers can have. The post holder will expand engagement with Keep Britain Tidy LitterHeroes and LitterHeroes Ambassadors and increase their support, knowledge, and ultimately the action they take, developing the programme so that it has real impact.

The role will manage these two inspiring networks of volunteers, growing the volunteer base; providing advice; supporting them to take action in their local community; supporting them to promote Keep Britain Tidy’s campaigns; developing online support systems; and measuring and communicating the impact of the work they do.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Youth Engagement worker, to join our Somewhere For Us Service team. The role of the service is to ensure that children and young people feel supported on their grief journey.  The service is co-designed with our Youth Advisory Group.  The support is provided through a range of group and 1-1 supports, including Understanding Your Child’s Bereavement online sessions for parents, group support and activities for children and young people and 1-1 support, grief ally/buddy etc.

Workshops are delivered in the community to individuals and groups who work with children and young people, to help increase their skills and knowledge on how to effectively support children and young people going through a bereavement. 

The Somewhere For Us Service supports bereaved children and young people aged 8 – 25.  It is funded to June 2027, through the National Lottery Community Fund Empowering Young People funding stream.

There are 2 posts, each for 32 hours per week, one based in our Foyle office and one in Belfast office.  You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of bereavement support to children, young people, families and communities across the Western and Northern Trust Areas (Foyle), Belfast, Southern and South Eastern Trust Areas (Belfast) and wider NI, if required.  Ability to travel independently across NI to fulfil the role is essential.

You will receive training in bereavement support and have access to high quality CPD.

What you will do:

· Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

· Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.

· Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities

· A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

· Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience

· Experience of using your own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work

· Excellent time management skills and ability to manage a diverse workload

· The ability to travel to different locations across London and the South of England to attend meetings, events and deliver training.

About the team

The Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Impetus is a friendly, driven team that is passionate about building fantastic relationships with a variety of funders that lead to meaningful outcomes for the young people we serve. The Head of Engagement role sits within the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships team, working alongside colleagues driving forward philanthropic income generation and donor retention. It plays a critical role in the stewardship of our partnerships and provides our funders with the chance to give their time and expertise as well as their financial contributions.

About this role

We’re looking to recruit an experienced individual who will lead on the donor engagement for all Impetus donors. This person will bridge the gap between our funders and the work we do with organisations in our portfolio and other partners to transform the lives of young people.

They will be primarily responsible for leading and delivering engagement through volunteering activities, and through this securing ongoing support for Impetus’s work. The role is strategic, working in close collaboration with our Investment team to first identify suitable volunteering opportunities via our portfolio partners and then working in close collaboration to deliver opportunities which closely align with the aims of our funders. Our volunteering activities span online CV workshops through to in-person Insight Days, work experience and beyond. The volunteering programme is a vital component of our stewardship offer to our donors, who seek opportunities to meet and support the young people that Impetus serves through the organisation in its portfolio.

The postholder will also support the Head of Engagement (Pro Bono) to enable Impetus to source pro bono support from corporate partners. The role line manages a Philanthropy Officer who facilitates the day-to-day running of volunteering events with partners.

Key responsibilities

Volunteering

• Manage and deliver c.50 online and in person meaningful volunteering activities a year via Impetus portfolio partners.
• Through this delivery of c.50 activities, support the management of Impetus’s funding partnerships, including Corporates, Individuals and Grant Making Trusts, to ensure donors are engaged with Impetus’s work and continue to support.
• Lead meetings (online and in person) with funders to identify their volunteering needs and drive forward engagement opportunities.
• Liaise closely with the Impetus Investment team and organisations in our portfolio to build relationships and craft the planning and delivery of a high-quality programme of volunteering sessions.
• Deliver new strategic opportunities to advance our volunteering programme, including the set-up and initial delivery of a new mentoring programme.
• Identify other new donor engagement opportunities through relationships with our portfolio, expanding the range of opportunities available to donors in response to need and availability.
• Craft relevant communications and collateral for the volunteering programme, alongside Development Directors and the Communications team.
• Ensure all communications with external stakeholders are prompt, clear and compelling.
• Work closely with account managers to ensure effective stewardship over the course of donors’ annual giving cycles, strategically advising on when to hold and host volunteering opportunities.
• Lead on the data analysis of the volunteering programme, regularly feeding back to the Development Director and Investment team in written, verbal and presentation form.
• Ensure the systems and processes around volunteering are maintained and up to date, as well as ensuring the effective use of Salesforce to hold key data.
• Line manage the Philanthropy Officer and oversee their work plan and development.
• Be prepared to travel across London to deliver volunteering events at corporate partner premises.
• Come into the London office two times per week.
• Attend Philanthropy team events outside of work hours including our evening Summer Party; our Saturday Triathlon; and our evening Transforming Lives Dinner. These are in London and outside of London.

Pro Bono

• Support the Head of Engagement (pro bono) in delivering new pro bono partners, including supporting the research of new partners and attending meetings (where necessary) to build new Pro Bono relationships.
• Working alongside the Head of Engagement (pro bono) and the Investment team, to source external support for pro bono projects. You may also support in monitoring the delivery of these projects and reviewing the quality of execution.
• Support in the stewardship of existing pro bono partners including leading appropriate meetings or Lunch and Learn sessions.
• Record all pro bono contacts and projects within Salesforce database.

Other

• Demonstrate professionalism and best practice in all duties. 
• Share the learning from our work across the team, across the organisation and externally.
• Work within Impetus strategy, policies and procedures. 
• Attend Impetus events to provide support to Philanthropy team.

Person specification

Essential

• Experience of running a volunteering or membership programme and familiarity with the fundraising landscape, including a good understanding of the corporate donor marketplace.
• Exceptional project management experience, with the ability to devise donor engagement plans and use project/account plans, budgets, and other financial information.
• Proven experience of maintaining and developing excellent relationships and partnerships with a range of stakeholders, each with different needs.
