We’re looking for a natural communicator who can tell our story in an accessible and compelling way. You’ll be able to think creatively, whilst being comfortable keeping across routine but vital tasks such as producing newsletters and updating social media. Your role will focus on two of our projects: our work with the Barnet Together Alliance supporting the local voluntary sector; and the work of the NCL VCSE Alliance, which we currently chair.

Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.

We are a small team (7 people in total) with an ambitious goal to secure affordable and long term workspace for artists and creatives. We will shortly be opening our third property.
CLT is based in London but we work remotely most of the time. You will need to be able to get to meetings in London 1-2 occasions per month.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional, with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from harm, within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?
Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:
- Responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
- Leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
- Dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
- Giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking

- Embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices across the society
You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and or online.
An understanding of safeguarding within the Charity and Public Service sectors is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

The Role
The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.
You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordination of the live music programme
- Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
- Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
- Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
- Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
- Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians

Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations. This is a key role within our small organisation, ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and maintaining compliance with all statutory financial regulations. Key Responsibilities:
JOB DESCRIPTION: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. To be responsible for maintaining the entire accounting function of the charity using Xero accounting software, inputting financial data and ensuring all reconciliations are completed by 10th of each month. Control and reconciliation of income and expenditure relating to major fundraising events, managing debtors and banking takings. Assisting in preparation of financial reports for donors as required.
2. To keep up to date with statutory regulations, guidelines and best practice for the financial management of charities, ensuring Trustees are properly advised of their statutory responsibilities.
3. To maintain, and amend where necessary, financial procedures and administrative systems to ensure accurate capture of financial information as required by statute, including cataloguing of all receipts and holding staff to proper filing of financial documents.
4. To maintain proper use of charitable funds, including restricted funds, ensuring that expenditure remains within pre-approved budgets and does not outstrip income.
5. To liaise with the payroll provider with regards to any changes by 17th of each month, arrange salary payments for 24th of each month (UK staff x3). Maintain Pension Scheme records and liaise with Pensions Regulator.
6. To liaise with auditors to ensure that statutory obligations are met on a timely basis and final accounts are available for sign off at September Trustees Board Meeting.
7. To work collaboratively with staff in Uganda and Zambia, and any other partner organisations, speaking over the telephone and through Skype, helping them to maintain accounts and adhere to financial procedures that meet required standards for a UK charity.
8. To be the principal contact with the Charity’s bank and the main administrator of the online and telephone banking.
9. To liaise with FX bank contacts for best rates facilitate bi-monthly overseas transfers and have awareness and monitoring of exchange movements.

Overview
To date, Global Dialogue’s finances has been overseen by an external accountancy firm. Over the last eighteen months, we have been working towards bringing our finance function in house. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the reins and complete the development and roll out of our internal finance function.
The Head of Finance is a new role within the organisation that is both strategic and handson. In the first phase, the postholder will be required to roll up their sleeves and, with the support of Global Dialogue’s Finance Officer, get stuck into the detail of financial administration, including overseeing twice monthly pay runs, monthly and quarterly closes, and other day-to-day financial management tasks. Alongside this, the role will lead on bringing the finance function fully in house, eventually taking on full responsibility for the preparation of management and statutory accounts, cashflow and FX management, and budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will play a key coaching role for the Finance Officer, with a view to eventually delegating all bookkeeping tasks. About Welcome Friends
Welcome Friends helps to alleviate loneliness and isolation in the over 50’s in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf by recruiting and training volunteers who are subsequently matched to beneficiaries who will visit them every week.
