Role

In this exciting role, you will provide pro–active emotional, practical information, advice and advocacy support for male and non-binary survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence.

As our Sexual Violence Caseworker, you will ensure survivors are aware of their social welfare rights, options and entitlements and assist them in accessing key services such as social services, housing, and benefit agencies.

Job Purpose
 
As BSR’s Membership Manager you will be responsible for overseeing BSR’s membership offer. You’ll work on plans to recruit members across a range of roles in the rheumatology specialty and engagement tactics to ensure members are retained year on year. 

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, Communications and Membership, you’ll drive forward a compelling value proposition for membership by refining our benefits package and developing tailored audience content. With responsibility for our digital-first membership engagement plans, you’ll work on strategies that drive our engagement, provide real-time feedback and give us insight into how our members behave. 

You’ll lead and coach a Membership Executive to develop their skills and together, provide excellent customer service and membership experience. 

Main responsibilities

Membership recruitment and retention 

• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new members 
• Engage in digital outreach and in-person networking to promote BSR membership and develop a deep understanding of our audiences and the pressures they face 
• Cultivate relationships with current members to ensure high retention rates and insightful feedback loops 
• Monitor membership trends and adjust recruitment and retention strategies as necessary
• Support strategic networking by facilitating meetings with members and the Senior Management Team/President(s)

Customer service and member engagement 

• Serve as a key point of contact for all member enquiries, providing an exceptional service 
• Ensure a positive experience for new and existing members with engaging communications, including regular newsletters and lifecycle campaigns 
• Organise and host events, webinars, and other member engagement activities to foster community 

Database and process management 

• Maintain an up-to-date and accurate membership database (CRM) and an internal super-user 
• Track membership renewals, payments, and communication preferences 
• Analyse membership data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement 
• Oversee membership billing, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collection efforts 
• Monitor membership revenue and work with the finance team to report on financial performance
• Develop pricing strategies as needed

Reporting and analysis

• Prepare regular reports on membership growth, retention, engagement, and financials for the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees 
• Use data and feedback to continuously improve the membership offering from BSR 
• Stay up-to-date on membership trends, membership models, and best practices to keep the BSR offer relevant

About the role:

This role covers Humberside and is a hybrid role allowing some home based working along with office working in our Hull office at HU9 1ND

As a Team Leader you will:

* Manage a team of Caseworkers and a Senior Triage and Early Interventions Officer including those working with specialisms such as children and young people, Antisocial Behaviour and Stalking
* Allocate cases to a team of Caseworkers and supporting and managing the Caseworkers to optimise their casework
* Hold your own small caseload where required
* Liaise with other agencies including the police and other criminal justice system agencies to encourage partnership working and to be the voice for the victim
* Attend meetings, scrutiny panels and forums to raise awareness and challenge agencies where required

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
• Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
• Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
• Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
• Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

Purpose of role:

The Role

We are recruiting for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our Fundraising team. The role will be instrumental in the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and building fundraising partnerships across a range of community audiences, including youth and education, sports clubs, community groups and individuals doing their own activities. You will be responsible for growing our existing community products such as Turn Cricket Red as well as introducing new products and initiatives to generate growth in Community Fundraising. Part of a small team, you will develop key relationships within the RSF network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

4. Work closely with the Ruth Strauss Foundation School Programme Lead to maximise schools community fundraising

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the Foundations community fundraising strategy and community fundraising activities and campaigns
• Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events and community fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Ruth Strauss Foundation
• Ensure, with the wider Fundraising team, we meaningfully engage different communities with RSF
• Ensure relevant processes and policies are in place to deliver a successful, profitable community fundraising programme
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems, processes, and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants
• Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent supporter experience and generates a lifelong relationship with RSF

To achieve these objectives the post holder will be expected to:

• Plan, budget, attend and coordinate an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity
• Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events and products, make recommendations for improvement, and support decision-making regarding fit of new opportunities for the foundation
• Project Manage the delivery of the community fundraising programme at RSF, leading on activity working group meetings, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure campaigns, activities and events are managed efficiently
• Work closely with the schools lead and school manager to grow our schools fundraising programme – working collaboratively so the training programme objectives are also met
• Develop a long-term growth strategy for Turn Cricket Red – focused on maximising current opportunities as well as diversifying to increase our reach
• Deliver high value supporter stewardship to increase lifetime value and impact of their fundraising
• Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders and seniority, ensuring opportunities for growth are maximised
• Alongside the team, co-ordinate event/activity logistics including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, promotion, set up, and delivery
• Oversee relationship with key providers of event fundraising mechanisms such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text to donate services
• Work with colleagues to ensure all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and hosts, and that all stakeholders receive appropriate training/ briefing and post event debriefs
• Work with the Head of MarComms and Digital to produce engaging fundraising collateral and information for event and community supporters including pre and post event communications/marketing collateral, working with external production companies where required
• Ensure all events and activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other event processes/policies
• Oversee the use of the CRM system to ensure data is recorded in compliance to Data Protection and GDPR and maximises output for supporter journeys
• Use sector trends and audience analysis to direct strategy and ensure that RSF remains innovative and at the forefront of Community fundraising

In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.
