We're seeking a talented and driven individual to lead our social media operation. You will:
· Develop social media strategies that maximise engagement and support for the FBU, its aims and campaigns
· Shoot, script and edit videos; edit audio; and design infographics and other relevant digital content
· Run a reactive/trends-driven social media operation aligned with the objectives of the FBU
The FBU already has a small, effective communications team covering campaigns, press and external communications. If you have these skills, great. But what we are really looking for is someone with the passion, political/labour movement experience, and technical skills to take our social media, video and digital content to the next level.
You’ll collaborate with other teams and union activists to bring projects to life, and you’ll have great storytelling skills. You’ll also be willing and able to travel and attend events frequently.
If you love social media and have strong creative skills, this might be the job for you. This is a new role, so proven experience in the social media landscape is essential.

Are you our new Digital Communications Officer?
We are looking for a creative social media native who is comfortable not only with presenting UWC to different audiences but also collaborating and supporting our different stakeholders in doing so. You will join the Communications and Engagement Team at the UWC International Office (UWCIO) which consists of six people and report to the Digital Communications Manager.
As a Digital Communications Officer, you will create, develop and deliver content across all UWC International’s social media channels in line with our social media strategy and lead on sourcing or creating the relevant, required reporting to demonstrate engagement and impact. You will also support UWC’s truly global network of volunteers through digital resources, templates and training. In doing so, you will use your digital communications skills for the better, contributing to the success of the movement and supporting young people to access transformational educational opportunities they would otherwise not have dreamt of.
Part of the larger Advancement Team at UWC International, the Communications and Engagement Team provides the UWC movement with strategic leadership, support and advice in the area of internal and external communication, PR, promotion, marketing, crisis communications, alumni and wider community engagement, and partnerships with other organisations. The Team has a coordination and support function for teams across the UWC International Office, as well as other UWC stakeholders globally, such as UWC schools, colleges, national committees and governance bodies. Alongside your business-as-usual tasks, you will support the Digital Communications Manager in coordinating with the advancement and admissions teams at each of the 18 UWC schools to run ad-hoc campaigns and manage external stakeholders and partners.

- Digital content design skills with experience in creating and repurposing digital content through applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition (or other equivalent.)
- Strong written communication. Able to write engaging copy across digital marketing channels.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills: self-sufficient in prioritising, organising workload and planning ahead.
- Able to think critically with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.
- Previous experience of using marketing automation and CRM software.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Groundwork as Digital Media Officer at Cannington Shaw Heritage Skills Academy, where you'll be at the heart of our mission to preserve and promote heritage skills. We are seeking someone with creativity and passion who will help us reach new audiences and inspire the next generation.
At it’s height, Cannington Shaw was the largest glass bottle maker in the world. All that now remains is the # 7 Bottle Shop – a fine example of what was once one of the first regenerative tank furnaces in the world. Derelict since closure of the works in the 1980s, it is now badly overgrown, with considerable structural deterioration. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Grade II Listed, and on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2002.
In the ownership of the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust, the site is about to undergo a transformation as the first phase in restoring the building begins thanks to a £1.3m grant from the St Helens Town Deal.
A partner in the process, Groundwork Cheshire Lancs & Merseyside are leading on a project to develop and deliver a Heritage Skills Academy that aims to link the opportunities presented by the conservation and restoration of the building with local people wishing to develop their skills – with a particular focus on heritage construction skills.
This role is designed to provide practical hands on experience of working on a live heritage project, allowing the successful applicant to develop their experience of partnership working, – as well as a wide range of heritage skills, crafts and techniques.

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing activity of the Students’ Union throughout the year, taking the lead on campaigns and projects such as Varsity, the Leadership Race, Sustainability Conference, International Festival and End of Year Awards, working with 10+ departments across the Union.
