Role Purpose
Foyers are transformational living and learning environments for young people who can’t live at home, where they can realise their power and purpose. However, access to high quality learning opportunities and progression routes can be sparse, and funding for learning in Foyers has been significantly reduced. Our vision is to build a creative learning and development environment that is shaped by the Foyer community and is accessible to any young person in a Foyer.
Our Advantaged Thinking Learning Community (ATLC) framework and digital Learning Management System (LMS) will provide an environment for young people to thrive, with space for collaboration, learning and personal development in a supportive community they can help to build. We are co-creating a bank of accessible and engaging learning materials, embracing existing learning programmes in Foyers while stimulating new approaches by creating a ‘living curriculum’ that remains relevant to people’s aspirations.
In spring 2025, we will be launching the ATLC across our network of youth Foyers, adding to our existing offer of programmes, training and events. About the role
You will support the Individual Giving team in the delivery of key fundraising strategies across a range of channels and income streams. You will play a key role in driving income at Emmaus UK as well as supporting the fundraising of Emmaus federation partners.

Essential
- You must be able to follow the Shout model for support and be comfortable holding a minimum of four conversations simultaneously as directed by your Supervisor.

- You must hold a qualification at Level 4 or above in counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, nursing or social work, and have suitable experience of working on the front line of mental health.
- You must hold, or commit to studying towards, a Level 3 safeguarding qualification, and have completed the Shout Safeguarding Texters training.
- You must be able to commit to taking shifts at times stipulated by our rota between three and five times per week on average, and be able to respond to occasional calls to help out if we are experiencing a substantial spike in demand at other times.
- You must be able to attend a group reflective session with our practice lead once a month, which will be held remotely.

The Role
The Senior Individual Giving Officer will act as a source of fundraising expertise in the Direct Marketing and wider development team, as well as the global Development and Marketing teams. Supporter development
●Lead on integrating online and offline fundraising, offering supporters a cross-platform experience
●Lead on innovating our digital offering - taking ideas from conception through to testing and beyond
●Work with the Individual Giving Officer to innovate our fundraising offerings and find new ways of acquiring supporters
●Ensure that Mercy Corps grows the number of engaged supporters and income across channels to meet targets

●With support from the rest of the team, develop and edit digital fundraising content suitable for target audiences, such as prospective online donors or re-engaging lapsed donors, ensuring consistency with Mercy Corps branding and style guidelines
●Review and analyse results of fundraising activities and make changes to future work based on this

Job Description
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) created the Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help cultural organisations and heritage sites during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Fund included a £254 million loans programme for arts, culture and heritage organisations. Arts Council acts as loan agent for the borrowers in the programme portfolio.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Arts Council's management of the CRF loans portfolio. You will be the principal contact with DCMS and will be required to meet with them regularly to report on a range of CRF loans portfolio issues and activities including formal portfolio reviews, loan re-profile recommendations, commissioning of external legal and financial advice, loans management process and systems.
The CRF Loans Director will have direct line management responsibility for the CRF loans team and your duties will include:
- Overseeing effective loans monitoring processes to identify where borrowers' business performance indicates a risk to loan repayment
- Reporting to DCMS on the performance of the loans' portfolio on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Making recommendations on appropriate action to take on defaulting or at-risk loans.
- Ensuring performance management, risk and internal controls are in place and used effectively.
The Successful Applicant
The successful CRF Loans Director will hold an ACA/CCAB/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) with experience of working at a senior level and exposure to working with loan lenders and borrowers.
You will have excellent financial analysis skills and be able to present complex financial information in simple understandable form to decision makers and others.
Ideally you will have a background within an audit and/or social impact organisation and have an understanding of shaping a loans fund.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grants Associate will play a key role in supporting More in Common’s fundraising and grants management efforts across Europe. This fixed-term role (filling in for one of our colleagues who is going on parental leave) will focus on identifying new funding opportunities, developing relationships with funders, designing and managing multi-country grants, and providing fundraising and grants support to More in Common’s national teams.
