About the Foundation
We’re an independent charitable foundation funded by Lloyds Banking Group. We work in partnership with small and local charities, people and communities, changing lives and working towards a more just and compassionate society. The needs and aspirations of people drive our work. We strengthen the small and local charities that support them and the communities they live in and advocate for a better future.

We are now seeking a Charity Relationship Manager to join our team on a part-time (3 days per week), basis for a secondment opportunity. You will be based in the Northwest, ideally Merseyside or Cheshire.

The Benefits

  • This is a secondment opportunity only (salary is likely to be in the region of £45k to £50k pa FTE)
  • Comprehensive training and development plan with a dedicated budget
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the work of a Corporate Foundation / Funder
  • Develop a broader perspective of the sector
  • Meet and work with great people – internally and externally
  • An opportunity to experience another organisational culture

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a passion for social change to join our inclusive and forward-thinking organisation and build on your existing skills and experience in a new environment.

With a focus on personal growth, this secondment offers comprehensive training, exposure to inspiring networks and the chance to gain invaluable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

So, if you have experience working with or in the voluntary, community or social enterprise sector and are creative, adaptable, resilient, flexible in your approach, keen to learn and hungry for change – then this could be the role for you!

The Role
As our Charity Relationship Manager, you will manage a portfolio of relationships with charitable partners and collaborating charities, advocating for small and local organisations across Merseyside, Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.

This secondment opportunity allows you to be the face of the Foundation in your area, fostering trust and supporting charities to become stronger and more resilient.

Working closely with charity partners, you will identify their most pressing organisational challenges and support them to access tailored support to help them thrive.

By building trusted relationships with charities, CICs and partnerships, you will facilitate the development of staff and trustees, ensuring the most appropriate forms of support are provided to address their needs.

Additionally, you will:

  • Share learning, intelligence, and insights to inform our strategy and relationship with Lloyds Banking Group
  • Act as a key advocate for the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector

About You
To be considered as our Charity Relationship Manager, you will need:

  • Relevant professional and/or lived experience of complex social issues
  • Experience working with or in the voluntary, community or social enterprise sector
  • Great communication and relationship building skills

The deadline for applications is Monday 20th January 2025 at midnight.

Other organisations may call this role Stakeholder Relationship Manager, Partner Relationship Manager, Business Relationship Manager, CRM, Client Relationship Manager, or Regional Manager.

We encourage applications from all sections of our diverse community, irrespective of age, disability, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), sexual orientation, religion or belief, or because someone is married or in a civil partnership. We want an inclusive organisation that reflects our community and where everyone feels empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. We believe our organisation will be a better, more creative and innovative place to work if we can harness the benefit of different perspectives.
