The role
Breast Cancer Now have transformed our digital offering over the last couple of years to create a unified, supportive and inclusive experience for those who want to know more about breast cancer and access vital support services.
We’re looking for a digital product manager who will oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle - managing the backlog for new product developments and cycles of continuous improvement across our flagship products and services. You’ll work collaboratively across the charity and beyond to ensure priorities are centred on the needs of individuals affected by breast cancer and contribute to achieving the overarching strategic goals of our charity.
About you
You’ll have proven experience successfully managing digital products, ideally in a not-for-profit environment. You’ll be a clear, compelling communicator, capable of building strong stakeholder relationships and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
With a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, you’ll draw on user insight and organisational strategy to shape priorities and measures of success. You’ll have experience applying product development best practices to shape discovery and deliver against a strategic roadmap and backlog, ideally in partnership with specialist external providers.

ShareAction’s Financial Sector Research (FSR) team researches a variety of sectors’ performance and publishes regular rankings and analysis, as well as engaging with each surveyed institution and providing them with detailed recommendations for improvement. The FSR team also supports other campaign teams within ShareAction by providing relevant data and increasingly aims to share more data externally, too.
What you’ll do
The Senior Research Officer will contribute to this research, collecting information from institutions and databases, analysing quantitative and qualitative data, producing engaging content, and translating this analysis into actionable steps for institutions in our reports.
The focus of this role is to support the production and publication of our survey of the European banking sector. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in both the Financial Sector Research and the Banking Standards teams to:
- Develop a methodology that is consistent with other financial sector benchmarks published by ShareAction, reflects recent market developments, draws on internal and external subject matter expertise, and reflects our campaign priorities.
- Collect, audit and analyse data regarding banks’ climate and sustainability strategies.
- Produce accurate and engaging written reports and data visualisations summarising the key findings of the research and drafting credible and persuasive recommendations.
- Support the presentation of the survey’s findings to banks, investors, funders, and the media.
- Contribute to responses to external consultations from regulators, policymakers, and other NGOs and support data sharing with external partners as appropriate.
The survey and benchmark of the European banking sector will be led by the Banking Programme team, with support from the Financial Sector Research team. This role will sit within the Financial Sector Research team, to benefit from the experience and processes already established for ShareAction’s asset management and insurance benchmarks. While you will focus on the survey of the European banking sector, there will be an opportunity to contribute to and learn about the other financial sector benchmarks as part of this role.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing quantitative and qualitative data and writing reports on banks’ responsible finance performance.
- Coordinating between the Financial Sector Research and Banking Standards teams to ensure consistency across ShareAction’s financial sector benchmarks.
- Conducting research across the themes covered by the benchmarks that draws on internal and external resources to inform survey development and data analysis.
- Using Excel and Python to analyse and organise large data sets (training will be provided for Python if needed).
- Participating in engagement calls with banks and answering technical questions relating to the research content.
- Presenting findings of our work to external and internal stakeholders through blogs, presentations, webinars, and roundtables and supporting the coordination of these events as appropriate.
- Organising and planning work with a high level of autonomy.
- Supporting the monitoring, evaluation and learning of our work.
- Contributing to funding bids and reporting on KPIs to funders where appropriate.
- Supporting the wider Financial Sector Research team to deliver other pieces of research, particularly the asset manager and insurance sector benchmarks.
- Keeping up to date on relevant news and information on the financial sector and the thematic areas covered by our work.

ShareAction’s Banking Standards team works towards holding banks accountable for their impact on people and planet, with a particular focus on climate change. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our work to include other sustainability themes and banking regulation. Recently, we have achieved significant wins, such as contributing to HSBC becoming the world’s largest bank to cease financing for new oil and gas fields, Barclays dramatically reducing its oil sands financing, and mobilising investors to call on Societe Generale to set a renewable energy target.
Our campaign activities are rooted in rigorous analysis and facts. We produce a variety of research outputs supporting our engagement with banks, including:
- Investor briefings and research notes, reviewing commitments made by individual banks.
- Banking sector benchmarks, ranking European banks on their approach to climate change and other sustainability themes.
- Thematic reports and position papers, reviewing how the European banking sector aims to address specific issues and relevant sustainability standards.
What you’ll do
As a Research Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our banking survey. Through your work, you will have the opportunity to influence the banking sector’s approach to sustainability by highlighting areas of improvement and leading practices among Europe’s largest banks. In close collaboration with colleagues in the Banking Standards and Financial Sector Research teams, you will:
- Lead survey development: Oversee all aspects of our banking survey, from designing methodology and collecting and analysing data to producing engaging written outputs and data visualisations that summarise key findings. You will coordinate the project from start to finish and liaise with multiple stakeholders, ensuring that surveys remain consistent with other ShareAction benchmarks and align with our campaign priorities.
- Conduct thematic research: Undertake research and engage with internal and external subject matter experts to inform positions on themes covered in banking surveys, ensuring that surveys are based on robust criteria and reflect the latest market developments.
- Engage with key stakeholders: Design engaging presentations and present survey findings and recommendations to banks, investors, and other stakeholders. You will act as an internal and external spokesperson for the banking survey, with the support of the Communications team and members of the Banking team. Additionally, you will contribute to external consultations and coordinate data-sharing initiatives with partners.
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and learning: Support the development and implementation of a monitoring, evaluation, and learning strategy for our banking surveys to continuously enhance their impact, relevance, and delivery process.
- Support funding and resource development: Assist with funding bids to secure resources for the survey’s continued growth and impact. You will also be responsible for hiring and managing additional researchers when necessary.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Passionate about climate change, sustainability, and/or the role of the financial system in addressing these issues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage competing demands while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in project management, including task delegation and consideration of project team workload.

We are currently formalising our hybrid working policy. However, the Banking team meets in the office every Tuesday as we find this helps with team bonding and productivity. The role of the Finance Manager is to ensure finance operations processes are fit for purpose, documented and communicated; to monitor and report on the performance of the team and to identify opportunities and support the implementation of improvements and efficiencies. This is a key role in delivering financial support and information to the Trust to ensure its continued delivery
of programmes and support for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document financial controls framework relating to Sales, Purchase and General ledger as agreed with the Financial Governance & Control team or in response to audit findings.
- Support the Head of Finance Operations to embed a “right-first-time” approach; review, enhance and streamline processes and respond to regulatory or technological changes that impact Trust.
- Set, agree and monitor service standards in conjunction with stakeholders and finance colleagues; and provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop a suite of KPIs with stretch targets for the Finance Operations Team, work with colleagues to embed, monitor and report to senior management with actions required to achieve target where required.

The successful candidate will:
- Have extensive experience overseeing accounts payable and receivable ledgers in a senior capacity, with the knowledge to proactively identify process improvements.
- Naturally analytical and have the desire to drive efficiencies, implement KPIs and contribute to the team’s development strategy.
- Have an understanding of VAT calculations and regulations. Ideally have exposure to partial-exemptions relating to the non-profit sector.

Citizens Advice Liverpool in partnership with Citizens Advice St Helens and Citizens Advice Warrington are delivering a Welfare Benefits, Debt and Budgeting Advisory Service to Torus Housing tenants.
The Welfare Benefits Caseworker is responsible for delivering a comprehensive Welfare Benefits Advisory Service to individuals and families in need. The caseworker will provide support and guidance to clients in understanding and accessing welfare benefits, ensuring they receive the appropriate financial assistance and support, including support with welfare benefits mandatory considerations, and appeals. Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will seek to develop our Major Donor income stream, seeking to grow
both numbers of donors and income raised. At CBM, a Major Donor is considered to be
one who has the capacity to give £5,000+ per year and who relishes the opportunity to
have one-to-one, personalised interactions with CBM.
This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing
relationships with our generous supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team
members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and
consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year
and pledged income.
Main Goal:
To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored
approaches, so securing repeat and multi-year gifts to achieve agreed income targets and
KPIs.
This will be achieved through:
1. New business acquisition:
a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database
(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,
lapsed and prospective major donors.
b) Researching, identifying and securing major donor prospects, through the
identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,
and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,
Patrons and Ambassadors.
c) Identifying next steps and determining tactics for engagement, including 1:1
working, giving group presentations and delivering pitches at various levels, and
leading on their facilitation.
d) Attending networking opportunities in Cambridge, London and the surrounding
areas to represent CBM and to engage potential major donors in our work
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that
individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM
and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,
updates and tailored approaches.
b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major
donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications
Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for
potential projects.
d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones
and targets to facilitate informed decisions and improved working practice.
5. Other
a) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our
database to fully-inform any approaches/meetings.
b) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to provide helpful and efficient support to our service users, other stakeholders, and staff, in person; over the ‘phone and electronically. The role will involve multi-tasking and the efficient running of many of Pete’s Dragons day-to-day operational areas, encompassing reception, office, and fundraising, as well as administrative support for day-to-day services and the senior leadership team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Beneficiary Services Manager, the Office Administrator will be responsible for the following tasks:
Reception
Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all callers and visitors to the Pete’s Dragons office.
Receive queries by telephone and email, responding appropriately by providing basic information about Pete’s Dragons services; recording and referring to the appropriate team; or signposting to other services where necessary.
Accurately maintain an electronic room booking system.
Take responsibility for the appearance and upkeep of reception and public areas.
Casework Administration
Handle emails and telephone enquiries from a wide variety of stakeholders: re-directing as necessary, determining whether a response is required and responding where appropriate.
Accept and facilitate calls for referral into our service, to be able to communicate and listen with compassion, empathy gathering essential information from people who could be experiencing a high level of distress. To be able to remain calm whilst doing so.
To provide basic information about the services offered by Pete’s Dragons over the telephone and face to face.
To receive and respond appropriately to queries by recording and referring to the appropriate Pete’s Dragons services or signposting to other services where necessary, including sending out information e.g. leaflets to enquirers.
Administration
Undertake a range of administrative tasks including word processing, photocopying, distributing mail, filing, emailing and data input.
Support the management team with administration as required, helping to organise meetings, and taking minutes if required.
Fundraising
Assisting the fundraising team in the logistics of fundraising events and coordination of volunteers.
Dealing with and supporting enquiries from external fundraisers.
Providing support to projects and assisting with administration involving corporate partners and sponsors.

Work flexibly to best meet the needs of the service which may include undertaking occasional evening and weekend work.

The role is office based at Pete’s Dragons HQ in Exmouth, with occasional travel to our other locations in Plymouth, Torquay, and Barnstaple so the ability to drive, a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
A DBS check will be required for this role.
