Role Overview

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

UP attracts significant support from individuals, and there is huge potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations with this increased capacity in the fundraising team.

In this role, with guidance from the Head of Fundraising, you will contribute toward income generation through researching and identifying Trusts and Foundations whose criteria match UP’s work, and developing compelling and inspirational proposals and grant applications. You will maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline, ensuring there is a steady stream of applications submitted to maximise funding opportunities, grow income and the number of multi-year grants.

While the primary focus for this role will be to grow income from Trusts & Foundations, you will also support the Head of Fundraising to develop the philanthropy programme. This will include planning and bringing to life an exciting and varied programme of events to support the growth of Individual, major giving and corporate support and shape exceptional supporter experiences.

We are working with Ark Cancer Charity who are looking to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager with demonstrable success in fundraising and marketing, and charity governance knowledge.

Ark Cancer Charity is an ambitious award-winning cancer charity that has raised significant donations both for capital and revenue projects benefitting patients using cancer services at the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT).

In this newly created post, the Fundraising Manager will work collaboratively with the charity’s board and Head of Charity to shape their income generation for the next three years to enable them to meet the demand for their unique patient centred wellbeing services.

We are looking for someone strategic who has strong influencing and negotiating and problem-solving skills. Ideally you will have worked within a healthcare charity or NHS charity for at least two years and hold a relevant sector qualification such as CIoF or CIM, although this is not essential.

Key responsibilities

Community Fundraising 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income through regular giving, donations, campaigns, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, and other fundraising initiatives.

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator.  The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. They will also be required to promote the Centre to potential funders, user groups and the public, especially via the Centre’s website and social media channels.  Candidates will need to demonstrate that they can think creatively, use initiative and work productively with colleagues.  They need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to enthuse others.

This exciting opportunity will ideally suit someone at the early stages of their career in charity fundraising.

The post will be based on a 35 hour week, but will involve flexible working including occasional evenings and weekends.

Dementia Carers Count has an exciting new remote role for an enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager within the income generation team to build corporate relationships whilst making a difference to dementia carers lives.

Job Title:      Corporate Partnerships Manager
Reports to:   Director of Communications and Growth
Contract:      Permanent
Hours:         28 - 35 hours / week must be available to work Tuesday & a minimum of 4 days per week
Salary:       Circa £40,000 per year FTE, subject to benchmarking
Location:   Remote, with attendance at staff or partner in-person meetings as necessary for the role, usually once a month in London

Job purpose
This is a new role, responsible for delivering financial support for our mission from corporate partners.  Initially, the majority of your time will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporate partners to meet fundraising targets.  As we grow, the work will be divided across high quality stewardship of existing partners across all sectors, as well as working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to upscale their impact.

This role sits alongside Trusts and Foundations and Public Fundraising within a team whose remit covers income generation, campaigns and marketing.  The post holder will report to the Director of Communications and Growth, supporting the senior leadership team to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate. 

Key responsibilities  

·Develop and maintain propositions to attract companies to support our work

·Identify, prepare and make highly targeted approaches to secure major partnerships that align with our organisational priorities, focusing on commercial / brand partnerships, strategic partnerships and donations

·Work with the Comms & Growth team to identify opportunities for income growth through existing and new corporate partnerships

·Proactively source and refresh a pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities by monitoring, analysing and reviewing relevant industry trends and developments, through networking and researching prospects

·Provide excellent account management and stewardship to new and existing corporate funders, maintaining regular communication with key contacts, and providing informative and engaging updates on their impact

·Design and deliver partnership plans that meet shared expectations, maximise income and where possible support our advocacy or campaigning activities

·Where relevant, conceive and deliver employee engagement opportunities that maximise funds raised and deliver the best possible supporter experience for our partners

·Develop strong working relationships within the organisation, co-ordinating colleagues to ensure that partnerships are successfully delivered

·Confidently communicate Dementia Carers Count’s activity and impact, inspiring support at the highest level

·Contribute to quarterly and annual planning and forecasting, and by providing accurate reports on corporate partnership income

·Administer corporate partnerships effectively, including using Salesforce CRM database and working with colleagues in the operations team to make sure invoices are sent out on time and corporate income is correctly recorded

·Ensure corporate partnership activities follow relevant legal / best practice guidelines

·Carry out other duties commensurate with this post as requested

We are excited to share news of an opening for a new Corporate Account Manager within our Partnerships and Philanthropy Team.

 

The Partnerships and Philanthropy team are moving through a period of change and growth which will set this team to strategically focus their resources and skill where it is most needed in order to attract, cultivate and retain valuable corporate partnerships. 

The role

Reporting directly to our Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy, the Corporate Account Manager will work closely with our Corporate Development Manager on the development of new partnerships and to ensure a smooth transition from new business to account management. Create inspiring engagement opportunities and lead the development stage of new accounts through to implementation.

You will also have the opportunity to build, lead and manage staff, financial and physical resources within Corporate Account Management team, ensuring the cost-effective delivery of fundraising activities whilst maximising opportunity.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have strong skill and experience in the following areas:

• Extensive experience working in corporate fundraising, ideally in an account management or combined corporate fundraising team or significant experience of working in a commercial marketing/sales position in a client facing role.
• Success growing income generated from existing accounts, maximising opportunity through building strong influential relationships and creating inspiring engagement opportunities.
• Experience of working as part of a cross-department team, to achieve the best outcome for CHAS.
• Building great relationships, internally and externally, to identify opportunities and maximise income.
• Leadership skills, including planning and prioritisation, and supporting others to reach their objectives.
• The ability to apply strong decision-making and critical thinking skills to balance investment vs return.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to inspire
