Crewe Town Council is recruiting a Development Officer for the Crewe Heritage Centre to help deliver ambitious plans!
We are at the beginning of a major capital redevelopment project to transform the site of the original Crewe Works. Our plans will tell Crewe’s story, as one of the most successful railway towns in the world, producing over 8,000 locomotives. It will also widen these stories to explore Crewe as a Model Company Town, its social ideals and the role Crewe people have played in the nation’s development.
Working with Crewe Town Council officers and the Crewe Heritage Trust’s passionate volunteers, this role will be critical in making our plans a reality. We are looking for someone with relevant experience and successes to help us shape our project and long term development. You will use your knowledge and skills to build compelling and inspiring cases for investment and giving. You will use these stories to grow income through streams such as membership, donations, sponsorship, philanthropy, legacies and events. You will use your experience to inform strategies and apply for grant funding to help deliver the redevelopment. You will work with external funders and strategic partners to advocate for the site development.
This is a varied opportunity to enhance and build skills in heritage, culture, visitor attractions, project development, income generation and business development as part of a supportive and welcoming team.

Job Purpose:
To plan and deliver engagement and research for Healthwatch Wakefield’s core and project work. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Engagement:
- Work closely with the team to put together engagement plans for specific projects and core healthwatch work
- Conduct engagement in public spaces appropriate to project needs, such as community centres, health venues, and libraries.

The Role

You will develop expertise in the policy areas related to haematology and the haematology workforce. The post holder will gather and analyse a range of relevant information to support the work of the External Affairs team. You will write briefings, letters, reports and presentations providing relevant evidence for external affairs and communications, the CEO and Board as needed.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, and have the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels, including making complex information accessible to different audiences. The Robin Cancer Trust is looking for two Community Engagement Officers to help make our vision of reaching every young person in the UK with our life-saving cancer campaigns a reality. This will be a regional role, based in either the Midlands, or North East. We are the UK’s germ cell cancer community, and our mission is to save lives!

Overview:

Job Purpose
The Community Engagement Officer will work as a core part of our Service Delivery team. The role will lead work to coordinate and deliver community-based activities, using evidence-based approaches, to support early diagnosis of germ cell cancer. They will engage younger adults face-to-face (through a variety of methods including training, awareness raising and outreach activities) to provide information on germ cell cancers, cancer prevention, self-examinations, and early signs and symptoms.
Key Responsibilities
- To build a deeper and more localised understanding of the population in their region and develop effective approaches to engage communities of younger adults who may be underserved by cancer education in order to break down barriers to early presentation.
- To deliver key cancer-related health messages through a variety of methods, for example providing cancer education and awareness presentations to community groups, community talks and delivery of awareness-raising activities.
- To support other public health initiatives and cancer awareness outreach activities across their region.
- To develop awareness of signs and symptoms of germ cell cancers amongst young adults and encourage people to seek earlier medical intervention.
- To support recruitment of Survivor Ambassador Volunteers and support them to be involved with cancer awareness activity where appropriate.

We are now expanding our fundraising team so that we can reach and sustain our target income of just over £1 million by 2027. The Fundraising Officer is a new and varied role that will work with all areas of the organisation and an opportunity to develop fundraising skills in a range of income generating activities.
We are looking for an individual with previous experience in fundraising or a related field with excellent writing skills and an ability to build lasting relationships with our supporters. You will support the delivery of our fundraising strategy as a whole with an emphasis on individual giving. Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours a week) or job-sharing will be considered. When applying, please state what hours you are looking to work. Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s offices which are based in London between Vauxhall and the Oval. Hybrid working will also be considered.
