BACKGROUND

The Donor Conception Network is a charity offering support to families (and prospective families) who are using a donor (egg, sperm or embryo) to conceive their children.

This is a really exciting time for the charity and a great moment to join us as we build on our 30th Anniversary last year. We recently launched a new website that has upgraded our online presence, giving you a great new platform to utilise as part of raising awareness of our services and resources. You’ll be working with our excellent digital consultant who knows the charity very well and can support you in delivering your goals. THE ROLE

We are looking for someone to lead our marketing and communications strategy which will enable Donor Conception Network to grow its membership base, raise its profile and develop its other income sources. As marketing manager, you will work to improve and extend our communications with our stakeholders to increase visibility and awareness of the Network’s unique offer and its value.  This is a hands-on role, and you will have the support of our current digital consultant.

The marketing manager is responsible for creating and delivering a cohesive marketing and communications strategy that:

• Grows membership, book sales and event bookings;
• Improves communications with our stakeholders to increase visibility and awareness of the Network’s unique offer and value.  This includes traditional offline channels but also across our digital platforms too, including Google, social media and email;
• Raises the profile of DCN, strengthens our brand and cements our position as the leading voice for the donor conception community;

CORE DUTIES

• Marketing and communications strategy: create and deliver a marketing and communications strategy including an annual plan and tactics delivery;
• Social media: develop a social media strategy that integrates with the overarching marketing plan.
• You will work with the digital consultant to execute this strategy, ensuring it aligns with our organisational goals and strengthens our brand presence.
• Website content management: ensure the DCN website is an effective and persuasive marketing tool. Assess options for additional functionality, and ensure content remains up to date.
• Brand and reputation management: use marketing and communications tools and opportunities to ensure the DCN brand is well known and respected in the fertility space
• Media and PR: maximise relevant opportunities to promote the Network and raise awareness of, and interest in, our organisation.
• Metrics: put in place tools and metrics to help us quantify the success of the above marketing strategies.

The Role
Funding from Trusts and Foundations is critical to the sustainability of the charity. The Role

As our Filming and Events Manager, you will manage filming and photography activities across our parks and green spaces.

Overseeing the filming office, you will handle inquiries, contracts and permits, whilst managing logistics and liaising with production teams and local stakeholders to ensure compliance with park regulations.

You will work across the Bishop Auckland Supported Accommodation service and the Dispersed Accommodation service based in Tow Law managing a team of Progression Coaches, Night Progression Coaches and Outreach Workers. You will support and guide the team in providing targeted support for clients and take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all young people, volunteers, staff and the building in the service. Additionally, you will ensure the service meets all the relevant regulatory and quality standards, including compliance with Ofsted requirements to maintain the highest level of care and support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain local relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, and delivery partners, ensuring effective collaboration.

• Oversee building safety through regular risk assessments, health and safety checks, and compliance with Depaul policies.

• Liaise with internal departments (Finance, HR, Fundraising, etc.) to ensure smooth service operations.

• Manage and monitor budgets in coordination with the finance team and Assistant Director.

• Deliver high standards of support for young people and ensure effective housing management practices, meeting KPI targets.

Multi-award-winning Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal works in partnership with Aardman Animations to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the region’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are seeking a talented individual to join our ambitious team and the successful candidate is expected to support the principles, values, and objectives of The Grand Appeal.

We’re looking for an individual who has previous experience in project management and organising and delivering high-profile events, to help execute our fourth character sculpture arts trail. Gromit Unleashed 3 follows three trailblazing and award-winning public art trails from Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, in partnership with Aardman, that have generated over £20 million to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital. 

The successful candidate will work closely with The Grand Appeal’s Senior Leadership Team to deliver key elements of the trail, including leading the installation and de-installation of the sculptures, artist liaison, managing the hugely popular public exhibition and providing high-level support for the highly anticipated auction. The candidate will be extremely organised with exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills and will ensure every aspect of the project is planned effectively and runs smoothly.

Enthusiasm, initiative and energy are key attributes for this role.  With exceptional interpersonal skills, the candidate will enjoy engaging with members of the public and managing our volunteers who play a vital role throughout the whole project. - Responsibility for the smooth running of events during the trail including the trail launch, exhibition and auction

- Liaise with third party stakeholders to deliver these events which include councils, private landowners, logistics companies, AV companies, Security

Growing Well is a farm-based mental health charity originating on Low Sizergh Farm near Kendal and recently expanding to a second site at Tebay Services (Northbound), and a third in Egremont, West Cumbria.

The horticultural context is key to our charity as it provides a safe, supportive working environment to nurture mental health recovery. Growing Well works with people on a weekly basis to help rebuild a sense of purpose, to engage in meaningful and fulfilling activity and to build hope for the future.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager for Growing Well's site at Tebay Services (Northbound) in the Eden Valley, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

The role of the Manager (Tebay) is to:

• Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well’s 1.5-acre Tebay site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes:
  • Safe and efficient service delivery
  • Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management
  • Financial management of the Tebay enterprise
  • Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
• Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 Volunteers (beneficiaries) per week.
• Line manage Tebay staff team (5 direct reports).
• Manage local fundraising and marketing initiatives with support from Growing Well Development Team colleagues.
