Vetlife is a charity for the veterinary community that provides independent, confidential and free help. We offer a 24/7 phone and email helpline, professional mental health support, financial assistance, information and resources. Vetlife is governed by an enthusiastic board of trustees who are all qualified vets or registered vet nurses. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic administrator to provide charity administration support, predominantly within our Financial Support service. You will be responsible for processing applications for financial assistance, checking and accumulating an applicant’s supporting evidence. In addition, you will assist in monitoring all existing Beneficiaries, ensuring continued quality and suitability of support and fulfilling Charity Commission requirements for the provision of benevolent aid.
You will also be assisting in the administration of our team of volunteer Area Representatives who provide face-to-face support to our Beneficiaries. You will therefore possess excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and with empathy.
An organised and confident individual, your work will also involve providing administrative support to our events team, increasing awareness of the services we provide, as well as supporting the Head of Operations. You must possess excellent time management skills and the desire to build and maintain successful working relationships.

About the Role
We are looking for Support Workers for two full-time 38 hours per week and one part-time 30 hours per week for our Enfield Supported Living Services which provide 24 hour care and support to people with learning disabilities and mental health.

What the job involves
We’re looking for an exceptional nurse leader to join the Specialist Nurses team at Prostate Cancer UK, part of our wider Support Services team that helps men and their loved ones to navigate the challenges of prostate cancer.
You’ll lead a group of nurses to provide invaluable information and support directly to men and their families via a range of channels, including telephone, email, webchat, and WhatsApp. You’ll also work on the service yourself.
You’ll steer the team’s input into wider charity activity, ensuring that Prostate Cancer UK maintains a strong, credible clinical voice in all it does. Your role will have a particular focus on communications, fundraising and user involvement, overseeing the nurses’ input into these areas of work and leading the team’s relationship with key internal contacts.
As part of the service’s management team, you’ll contribute decisively to discussions around service development, team ways of working and wider strategy.
Please note that there is no face-to-face patient contact as part of this role, and the team’s remit is contained to information and support – not clinical advice.
You’ll be working Monday – Friday, with a hybrid working model. The service runs predominantly remotely, but periodical office attendance for collaborative work is expected.
Current daily shift patterns are 8.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 5.15pm. The appointee will need to be available 8.45am – 5.15pm daily, as shift patterns are allocated based on service requirements.
What we want from you
You’ll be a registered nurse with extensive experience at NHS Band 6 or higher, including recent work in either urology, oncology or palliative care looking after men with prostate cancer. You’ll have experience managing nurses and/or running services to the highest standard. You’ll bring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll also be flexible and adaptable to meet the complex demands of this role. Exceptional time-management skills and an ability to work with clear boundaries are critical, in order to both lead and deliver the service effectively.
You’ll also be comfortable with remote working, both in terms of delivering information and support over the phone, and working and leading remotely.
As a Senior Specialist Nurse, you’ll be committed, enthusiastic and compassionate – keen to apply your existing clinical experience and knowledge to provide information and support to those affected by prostate cancer and have the desire to develop new skills.

The Children and Young People’s Psychological Trainings programme (formerly known as CYP IAPT) is a service transformation programme that aims to improve Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYP MH) and develop the workforce by recruiting professionals for core and specific skills training. It is a one-year programme for managers working in NHSE funded CYP-MH services, and consists of twelve teaching days, combining academic lectures, seminars and small group tutorials, and assessments which are highly tailored to working managers.
We are recruiting for an experienced Course Tutor to facilitate the delivery of some teaching and reflective practice tutor groups to help students consider the teaching in relation to their contexts and develop personally and professionally as CYP-MH leaders. The Course Tutors will also contribute to teaching sessions, and undertake marking, personal tutoring and make other similar contributions to support the delivery of the programme and promote the best student experience.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the national CYP IAPT programme and experience of supporting CYP-MH workforce development.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Key duties
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of individual supporters
- Plan and deliver a year-round programme of supporter events encouraging donors to engage with our work

About the team and role as a Volunteering Design Manager Role:
The key purpose of this role is to lead and work with the Volunteering Design Team to design and deliver ‘products’ to better the experience of Scout volunteers. This includes maintaining products to support volunteer training, local governance and the overall volunteer journey. This role uses Agile and Product Management techniques to deliver products quickly and in partnership with volunteers, to ensure support for volunteers remains current and relevant
Key responsibilities as our Volunteering Design Manager Role include:
- Support and deliver operational projects in line with wider strategic priorities.
- Provide support to volunteers at the Scouts who deliver Scouting locally
- Work in partnership with Team UK and UK People Team volunteers to ensure that resources are simple to use
- Effectively identify and prioritise products and maintain a clear backlog and team work plan
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure resources produced are edited and checked for accuracy
