The Foundation is seeking a Digital Communications Coordinator to support in overseeing its presence on the Club website and develop the Foundation’s social media presence through planning, production and distribution of compelling digital content showcasing how the Foundation inspires and empowers people living within our local communities to thrive. The role will also involve assisting with the Foundation’s digital marketing outreach.

JOB PURPOSE

• To support overseeing the Foundation’s presence on the Club website, ensuring it amplifies the Foundation’s voice and fosters meaningful connections and engagement with all stakeholders.
• To develop and help maintain the Foundation’s social media presence – this is an exciting time to get involved, with the Foundation discussing its launch on Instagram and some other major platforms.
• To play a key supporting role in email marketing and provide analysis reports on all things digital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Foundation’s growing fundraising & communications team to develop digital and social media strategies that meet the organisation’s objectives.
• Produce high-quality digital content in the form of videos, infographics and more.
• Maintain on brand and up-to-date presence for the Foundation on the Club website.
• Provide support in the implementation of email marketing to key Foundation audiences.
• Produce regular analysis reports, utilising data and responding to what it tells us.
• Spend time working at Foundation activities and across Club sites to understand what stories there are to tell and how we can best share them.
• Help lead the testing and implementation of digital trends and tools.
• Work with Foundation staff and beneficiaries so that content is not just about them, but led by them.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Project Indigo, an LGBTQIA+ youth project run out of Off Centre at Family Action that fosters a safe space and sense of community amongst LGBTQIA+ young people in Hackney.  We support young people aged 16 to 25 through offering them a weekly facilitated social space and 1-to-1 support and advice sessions.  Having run for almost a decade, Project Indigo is well known in Hackney, and works alongside local LGBTQIA+ projects, as well as mental health and youth services.  Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing training and development opportunities.

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQIA+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQIA+ people in the local community.  You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing young people with the opportunity to access training, qualifications and work experience while receiving high quality support tailored to their needs.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP.  These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.

Main Responsibilities:

· You will develop and lead Project Indigo’s new Peer Mentoring Programme.

· You will understand young mentors’ needs and goals, and provide high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process.

· You will develop a structure for the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, finding appropriate partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.

· You will offer sensitive supervisory support to young LGBTQIA+ mentors, supporting their diverse need by maintaining an empathetic, intersectional and youth-led approach.

Its membership team is the key point of contact for aspiring new Community Members, subscribers and existing member organisations. The coordinator will be in contact with a diverse range of organisations working in sustainability, assisting in pitching and providing specialist services, as well as helping prospective Community Members to navigate the member application process. Additionally, the role will coordinate activities relating to members fulfilling the requirements of membership and will ensure accurate record keeping for services and member related processes.

Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

Services and member prospecting

• Act as the first point of contact and respond to enquiries about ISEAL, services and membership
• Schedule and co-lead prospect calls, pitching relevant services from our portfolio, taking notes and supporting follow up actions
• Help member prospects understand the value of ISEAL membership and our services, and coordinate outreach to prospective members ahead of Community Member application windows
• Use and continually improve record-keeping systems, tracking customer relationships on Salesforce and support member/customer prospecting processes
• Coordinate the ISEAL Insight subscription, including proactively recruiting new customers and supporting existing relationships, tracking payments, and coordinating the delivery of the Insight programme of content

Membership applications and compliance programme

• Coordinate application process for aspiring Community Members, providing guidance throughout their application journey, addressing questions, supporting submission of materials, and managing completeness checks and comment periods.
• Liaise between prospects and compliance team to respond to questions regarding application process and requirements and maintain application log in Salesforce.
• Create and coordinate member compliance activities, including piloting process and external independent evaluation schedules
• With supervisor support, develop and maintain effective relationships with members, prospect members and evaluators in relation to the compliance programme and application process.
• Deliver administrative tasks to support the compliance programme and application process, including but not limited to scheduling calls, sourcing and maintaining evaluator records of competence and conflict of interest

Experience, Knowledge and Attribute

• Experience working or interning in a support/administrative role, ideally in an international NGO, professional or membership organisation

The Nystagmus Network is seeking a Development Coordinator to help build on our core services and develop new ones to meet the growing and changing needs of the nystagmus community and to support income generation to ensure those services can continue to be funded. The Dad Matters coordinators deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at male parents in the First 1001 Days. They support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways.

The post holder will:

• Build on the Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest foundation of peer support by engaging and supporting dads in one to one and group situations.
• Ensure that parent – infant relationships are a thread through every relationship and conversation with dads.
• Raise awareness of the risks of poor mental health for fathers and their families during the perinatal period
• Raise awareness of the impact on fathers of caring for a partner affected by perinatal mental health issues 
• Develop the Dad Matters volunteer role
• Develop close links with other health and voluntary agencies
• Facilitate regular consultation with fathers through outreach and focus groups

Main Responsibilities

Support to Dads

The post holder will provide individual and group support to dads during the perinatal period.  This will involve the following: 

• Meeting dads at ante-natal clinics
• Facilitating or co-facilitating ante-natal Dad Chats in person and online
• Supporting the developments of support offered to dads with children on NICU and those with partners in receipt of care from Perinatal Mental Health teams, Adult Mental Health, IAPT and Parent Infant Mental Health teams
• Signposting and supporting access to other services as appropriate
• Undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
• Ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of work
• Facilitate regular consultation with fathers in order to ensure that all resources are targeted appropriately

Day-to-day you’ll be working across a range of Pembroke House programmes and neighbourhood projects, working closely with residents, local organisations and team members to form relationships which build towards action. A knowledge of community organising methodology (see for example Community Organisers, Act Build Change or Citizen’s UK) would be beneficial, but not essential, as there will also be other approaches or experiences that you could draw on for this role.

Whatever your approach, you will need to adapt the way you work for different parts of the work - from taking a strong and confident lead in running a door-knocking campaign, to working with other team members to support wider engagement for their programmes.

If this job is done well, a range of groups in Walworth will be taking meaningful action to make a difference to the neighbourhood. Individuals will be growing their skills and capacity to collaborate, the groups will be building momentum, and beginning to affect real change in the neighbourhood.

Pembroke House is a centre for social action and residential community in Walworth, south-east London. We were founded in 1885, by students from Pembroke College, Cambridge, as one of the first settlement houses. Shocked by growing poverty and inequality, the pioneers of the settlement movement sought a new approach: taking up residence to live, work and solve problems alongside local communities. We continue to share a building with St Christopher’s church, which has its routes in the same student settlement. For over 130 years, we’ve been working to bridge traditional divides and unite people – whatever their background or walk of life – in building a better Walworth.

Over the last 8-10 years at Pembroke House we have worked in a variety of ways to try to make a positive difference to our neighbourhood, from community organising on the estates around Pembroke House, building relationships with local TRAs (tenants and residents associations) and forging links with other organisations with a community organising ethos such as Citizens UK, Parent Action Southwark, and English for Action. We’ve also worked to build partnerships, from the ambitious mass engagement strategies of We Walworth, local collaborations for the Walworth Group, the Covid-19 Emergency Food Hub and the Neighbourhood Food Model. What unites these initiatives is a belief that our role is to support collective action that creates meaningful and lasting change within the neighbourhood.

This role requires someone who can build on this legacy, with the sensitivity to adapt different strategies to different situations, and motivate and support others to drive forward action. This is a new role within the organisation.

The Role

As a Training and Engagement Coordinator to the Scotland Team, you will provide effective and efficient co-ordination of resources and support, primarily related to our accredited courses, Idaa and DACA, as well as our open course and bespoke training, when capability allows. You will work alongside the Training Lead and Senior Training and Engagement Coordinator and occasionally help support with our Safer, Sooner and Authentic Voice operational work.

This role is integral to our providing quality training across Scotland, influencing and enhancing the approach of professionals who come into contact with domestic abuse.
