The role
Our key priority at FareShare UK is to increase the amount of surplus food redistributed to the charities and community groups we support across the UK. Food partners (manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers, packers, catering providers, producers and others) are essential in helping us to achieve this, providing access to food and many other strategic resources. This crucial role will focus on working with our top food partners to maximise the mutual value in the relationship through strategic and structured account management. Our ability to meet growing demand and increase the amount of surplus food redistributed will be heavily influenced by the success you have in this role.
You will be the account lead for some of the biggest food businesses in the UK and will lead the Food Partnership Team focused on deepening and developing our most established food partnerships, maintaining food and funding from key accounts.
The role will see you lead your team to deliver a tiered and structured strategic account management approach of all top partners, coordinating colleagues across departments, including the Food Team, FareShare Go, Marketing, Fundraising, Network Operations and Volunteering teams. Working closely with the top food partners and internal stakeholders will ensure appropriate identification of activities, and monitoring of progress, benefits and evaluation.
You will help identify and overcome the barriers to food redistribution and increase the volumes of foods available to FareShare from food partners and their wider supply chains. You will innovate and problem-solve to provide the best outcomes for our most important food partners.
Main areas of responsibility
Business Development and Relationship Management
- Support the senior Leadership team by implementing and driving FareShare’s strategy to deliver the services that our top food partners want now and in the future.
- Keep up-to-date on trends and key areas of opportunity for top accounts.
- Lead a team of account managers, embedding a structured approach of account management to secure multi-year partnerships with key food partners
- Engage colleagues from across departments in delivering a holistic account management approach, underpinned by mutually beneficial joint business planning.
- Innovate and identify opportunities for improved partner experience
- Directly account manage key accounts, whose food and funding support we are looking to maintain, through structured joint business planning.
- Embed a strategic approach to account management and joint business planning processes for top partners to make sure that they receive a best in class service from FareShare.
- Develop relationships with key personnel within our top food partners and develop a good understanding of their structure and operations to help drive sustainable, successful relationships and engage the relevant internal departments
Business Process Improvement to deliver growth
- Understand the barriers to redistribution of food and lead initiatives to overcome them
- Develop new models of food redistribution which meet market needs and build new channels of supply to FareShare
- Liaise with colleagues in the FareShare Go and Supply Chain and Logistics teams to highlight and resolve any operational issues and support improvement programmes.
Project and Initiative Management
- Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives and securing support from a range of internal stakeholders within the food partners and among the FareShare network.
- Prepare and proactively present the benefits of new initiatives to existing and potential partners despite the challenges to existing embedded processes.
People and Culture
- Lead, manage and motivate the part of the Food Partner Team focused on maintaining and deepening partnerships, creating a culture of high performance and a positive working environment.
- Support effective working with colleagues in the wider Food Team, and Network Development and Operations Teams to support an atmosphere of collaboration and trust consistent with FareShare’s values.

Your Responsibilities
Rotherham Hospice is seeking a passionate and results-driven Legacy Fundraising Officer to join our Income Generation Team.
This is an exciting new role created to focus on legacy fundraising initiatives, with a primary objective of increasing the number of legacy pledges and gifts to support the long-term sustainability of the hospice's vital services.
Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Legacy Fundraising Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to engage with supporters, raise awareness of legacy giving opportunities, and secure legacy pledges and gifts.

Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fundraising environment.

The Building up Individuals for Life and Development (BUILD) Project partnership is funded to provide comprehensive support packages for individuals aged 19 and over. BUILD will work across rural Leicestershire cluster areas identified by our extensive knowledge of and engagement with areas where there are gaps in community based services. The Project will work with those who are disengaged, feel socially excluded and face multiple barriers, offering a varied, supportive and bespoke skills and personal development approach.
This role will play a crucial role in supporting participants. You will identify project participants and conduct person-centred assessments with them. You will be responsible for creating strength-based personal development plans as well as providing ongoing support and guidance in order to help the participants grow in confidence, build skills and gain control of their lives. Your role will work to increase participation in volunteering and advice on selfemployment and entrepreneurship, building networks to share best practice through shared learning.
You will be expected to collaborate with our experienced partners Rural Community Council (RCC) who work to improve wellbeing, increase resilience and tackle disadvantage across rural areas and CASE who work to promote social enterprise and rural community development. You will make a tangible impact on individuals’ lives and local communities, fostering sustainable change.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a passion for and experience in supporting individuals to identify and achieve personal goals combined with an established understanding of barriers preventing individuals from accessing support. Proven skills in engaging and motivating individuals (both face to face and remotely), networking to achieve outcomes and an ability to develop high quality information and resources are also necessary.
Experience of delivering work readiness workshops to groups and tailored individual interventions in support of personal skills development would be a great advantage. The role requires confident communicators with experience track in providing impactful support and training, working in diverse communities across the County.

About the role
Based within the Fundraising Team, this role is responsible for providing exceptional supporter care to our donors and fundraisers, ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting, and supporting various income streams for the charity including individual giving and community fundraising. It is an important role within the Fundraising and Communications Department, which is responsible for raising the profile of the organisation and the experiences of those we are here to help, and mobilising support to the cause.
This role will help acquire and steward existing and prospective supporters, including individuals, schools and faith groups taking part in fundraising events and activities, as well as one-off and regular donors. Barnardo's Community Wellbeing Mentors hold a caseload of up to 10 children and young people (aged 6-18 years old) providing early intervention to those who are experiencing poor emotional health and wellbeing either on a 1:1 or group basis. This support can take place at the young persons home, at their school or a community venue.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Housing Support Worker to take a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive housing related support & development service to YMCA Leicestershire residents to enable them to build firm foundations for a positive future.
Salary: £27,144pa. (Grade C1)
Hours of Work: 40-hours per week including 1- hour paid lunch. This will include some evening and weekend work as well as being part of the emergency on call rota

We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals and places of care equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities for patients of all ages. The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of their amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety for young patients. They also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as ward musicians, their on-site magician and the play specialists they have on every ward.
The Role
We are looking for a Cinema Manager to build and run our brand new service at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The post-holder will build their team of nurses and volunteers and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.
We will run four regular inpatient screenings each week – exact times and dates to be agreed with all stakeholders, but will include evenings and weekends. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these four regular inpatient screenings.
The role offers a unique, exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for someone interested in a service delivery role at the heart of our charity, involving direct contact with the patients and families we support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The role of the Cinema Manager is essential to ensure the effective delivery of our service. Based at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital the role is responsible for all operational aspects of the service. This includes ensuring screenings happen on schedule and as planned, recruiting and managing volunteers and nurses, and developing links with hospital staff to ensure the service is widely advertised and utilised.
The position would be part of the larger cinema managers team (all of whom operate remotely at various hospital sites) and report to the National Cinema Manager who is based in our central office in London. This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, wants a varied and interesting role and has an interest in film, healthcare and helping to improve people’s wellbeing.
Service Delivery
- Deliver a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings so the role requires regular evening working.
- Be responsible for:
- Marketing the service throughout the hospital, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.
- Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.
- Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are screened to the highest technical standards at all times. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.
- Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly and that, where appropriate, consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.
- Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.
- Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required
- Collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s
- Support with arranging and running any special events and special screenings
- When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with particular hospital departments and patient groups.
- Manage the local roll out of any new type of screenings we embark on, such as our Applied Screening initiative.
- Support the delivery of our complementary bedside services, such as our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.
Nurse & Volunteer Management
- Build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include managing recruitment and creating monthly rotas.
Marketing and Relationship Management
- Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, and building key relationships with hospital staff and our partner Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
- Develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community.
- Represent the organisation effectively and compellingly at all times.
- Support the programming and development of the MediCinema as a centre for entertainment, being pro-active in developing a creative programme of sustainable events at each site. This could include supporter events, live performance and other relevant activities.
Administration and other duties
- Provide holiday or emergency screening cover when required.
- Manage the collection, loading and returning of films.
- Champion the work of MediCinema within the hospital and cinema environment, as well as confidently and positively representing MediCinema in all interactions and at any meetings and events.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the MediCinema at Alder Hey, operations and MediCinema as a wider organisation

Essex Pedal Power allows eligible residents, including adults and children, to apply for a new FREE quality bicycle. The inclusive programme aims to make cycling accessible for everyone providing access to employment, training and educational opportunities or key local services. The project builds on the successful pilot already running in Jaywick and Clacton and is part of a wider roll out in Essex. It will distribute 725 bikes in Colchester throughout 2023-2025 and if successful, will be rolled out to further areas within Essex.

About the Role
Essex Pedal Power is a flagship programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people in deprived areas to cycle by removing the main barriers to cycling. This post is part funded by the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) for Essex. You will lead our Essex Pedal Power team in Colchester working collaboratively to maintain an overview of engagement and impact whilst seeking to maximise opportunities for partnership development. We are looking for an individual with experience of positively leading teams to deliver successful outcomes.
You will report directly to the Community Development Manager.
Main Duties
1.Manage the operational delivery and development of the Essex Pedal Power programme with a focus on collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery to promote active citizenship and physical activity.
2.Monitor the budget to ensure outcomes are met.
3.Develop and maintain a strong delivery team made up of bike mechanic and project support staff, and a team of volunteers ensuring the team have access to development opportunities and support on a one to one and team basis.
4.Devise, understand and use asset-based community development approaches to community development and work with your team/communities to understand priorities and co-design initiatives. Ensure that delivery mitigates or removes the barriers to participation.
5.To evaluate impact and outcomes of projects to provide organisational learning and feedback for funders and stakeholders.
6.Lead on the implementation of the delivery plan in collaboration with a wide range of partners, to arrange for logistics of bike allocations and storage.
7.Administer an admin system to manage participant applications, eligibility and queries of those in the community eligible to receive a free bike.
8.Co-produce the project with the local communities and locally trusted organisations and ensure continuous engagement and communication to ensure that eligible citizens receive a good quality experience.

Ensure all volunteers are safeguarded and supported through the use of the TAWS volunteer management system.
12.Co-ordinate frequent cycle training sessions and bike maintenance sessions for bike recipients.
13.Develop a pool of qualified freelance learn to ride instructors and Ride Leaders to deliver local training and led rides.
14.Using innovation to encourage the uptake and increase of cycling. Ensure that the outcomes of the project support collaborative outcomes with citizens and other partners.
15.Play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation plan, through collecting, analysing and sharing data (quantitative and qualitative) working with the Active Essex Evaluation Researcher for Essex Pedal Power and with TAWS Data & Insight team.

Charity People are pleased to be supporting Tempo Time Credits, a charity that brings people together in local communities to carry out valued and important voluntary work, with their search for a Pathways to The Past Programmes & Partnership Manager based in Neath Port Talbot.
Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.
In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery the pathways to the past programme connects volunteers and communities in Neath Port Talbot to their heritage. As the Heritage Programme and Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships and opportunities across Neath Port Talbot.
Key responsibilities:
- Management contracts, staff and resources: You will ensure all programmes are delivered within budget, and you will oversee contracts and reporting, producing convincing reports that show impact and delivery of KPIs.
- Oversight of networks delivery and performance: You will oversee programme planning and network management. You'll map out community groups, service and business partners and set up project activities and events, including training and workshops for network partners and key partner staff.
- Stakeholder relationship management and reporting: You will develop and maintain positive relationships with key funders and stakeholders in the region. You will also oversee reporting on programmes and ensure evaluation data collection and dissemination.
- Development and implementation of local strategic plans: You will oversee implementation of regional plans, including coordination of priorities and allocation of resource.
- Profile raising and sustainability: You will speak at and attend events and meetings with potential funders and explore opportunities for growth/ You'll also oversee contract renewal process including development of sustainability plans or new delivery models and contract signing.
- Innovation, learning & development across the organisation: You will feed into innovation and development work through sharing learning and best practice across the organisation, and supporting development of systems and approaches.
The Programme and Partnership Manager will have proven experience in community development, stakeholder engagement and contract management. The successful candidate will have a passion for heritage conservation and community development, and will be an inspiring leader, keen to develop their team. You will have strong communication skills, including presentations and report writing, and you will have experience facilitating workshops and training.
You will also have experience working with communities, public and voluntary sectors, the ability to influence others and have experience designing and implementing new initiatives.
This role will require flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings and weekends when required. It also will involve significant regional travel, with some national travel and overnight stays. You will need the ability to travel independently. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS child and adult barred list.

Job Purpose:
To plan and deliver engagement and research for Healthwatch Wakefield’s core and project work. To understand the experiences and concerns of people using health and social care services in Wakefield and represent this feedback to service providers and commissioners. The role involves some analysing of data and intelligence to influence change and improve services. The postholder will focus on engaging with seldom-heard groups and individuals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Engagement:
- Work closely with the Healthwatch Wakefield Engagement Officer to put together engagement plans for specific projects and core healthwatch work
- Conduct engagement in public spaces appropriate to project needs, such as community centres, health venues, and libraries.
- Manage a program of outreach sessions, identifying and arranging visits to organisations and community groups.

Research:

- Support the Healthwatch Wakefield Research and Engagement Project Officer to analyse data to produce a range of high-quality research outputs, including reports and presentations for various audiences.
