Lingen Davies Cancer Fund is a vibrant, thriving, dynamic and energetic organisation dedicated to making a difference to lives impacted by cancer in our region.
As part of a small but passionate communications team this role plays a key part in helping to develop our supporter base, increase engagement with the charity, and increase our fundraising efforts using a mix of storytelling, marketing, videography and photography, research, and other communications tools.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.
Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.
By generating the income we need to realise our ambitions, you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.

About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude. You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.
You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- To create, implement and deliver specific marketing campaigns and projects and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies and campaigns.
- To advance the profile, reputation, and development of the charity through the delivery of a range of initiatives including printed and online communications, the production of print materials, digital marketing, public relations, events and other promotional activities ensuring that these complement Umbrella’s strategic objectives.
- To manage and update Umbrella’s website.
- Coordinate and deliver high quality social and digital media content across Umbrella’s social media accounts.
- To maintain a knowledge of the external charity funding environment and benchmark Umbrella against fundraising trends and best practice in the wider sector.
- To complete and manage grant and trust applications (working in conjunction with CEO and Trustees).
- Engage with potential corporate partners through Marketing Derby. This includes maintaining and developing positive relationships with a varied pool of stakeholders, supporters and funders.
- Roll out Umbrella’s corporate program.
- Attend relevant external meetings and presentation events on behalf of Umbrella
- Work closely with Umbrella’s Volunteer Coordinator to support the fundraising volunteer group to undertake more ‘grass roots’ fundraising activities.
- 11. Work closely with Umbrella colleagues, ensuring close and effective working relationships across the whole organisation, including operational groups to ensure that grants are spent and reported correctly
- 12. To work with Communications consultant to define the communications strategy for the organisation, when required.
- 13. To work with the CEO to produce and implement Umbrella’s Fundraising plan and to report regularly to the Fundraising Marketing and Communications Sub Group on progress against agreed targets.

Purpose
To take the lead in making sure that Hope After Harm is maximising its income from grants and trusts. You will be scanning the horizon for opportunities large and small – and your compelling content will give us a high success rate. You will work closely with the CEO to submit outstanding bids to a variety of funders both local and national.
Responsibilities
- Researching grants and trust and other similar opportunities and working with the CEO to prioritise these
- Contacting grants and trusts where appropriate for information and guidance to maximise bid success
- Writing and submitting applications for grant and trust opportunities, with support from CEO and others depending on scale of opportunity
- Creating a library of collateral/case studies quotes for inclusion in bids
- Ensuring grant and trust reporting is tracked and delivered to time
- Maintaining and updating the pipeline and carrying out other administrative tasks associated with fundraising including input to reporting
- Developing relationships with local and national funders as appropriate
- Ensuring that feedback from funders and funder requirements are fed back to Hope After Harm to encourage learning and inform our strategic thinking.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for an experienced project manager to join us on a fixed-term basis until 31st October 2025 to lead the development, management and fulfilment of a £1m fundraising campaign with a high-profile media partner.
This campaign will support young people in London who will be leaving school in 2026-27 without a clear pathway from secondary education into employment, further education or training, and you will play a vital role in helping these young people to have a brighter future.
You will manage the overall relationship with the partner – acting as the key point of contact and ensuring the successful delivery of the campaign by promoting effective reporting and information flow between stakeholders as well as holding them to account for their deliverables.
You will help identify campaign activation opportunities and work with relevant King’s Trust colleagues to co-ordinate and fulfil fundraising approaches as well as developing the campaign infrastructure such as web pages, data flow and supporter stewardship journeys to maximise our chances of success.
We need someone who can establish and run effective project governance as well as creating the right conditions for decision-making and prioritisation of requirements – there will be lots of different teams involved in this campaign, so we need someone who’s highly organised and able to delegate or escalate actions as required.

Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving & Legacy, you will be part of an exciting department responsible for growing our largest and longest-term sources of income – our regular giving propositions (including payroll giving and lottery) and legacy fundraising. Regular Giving and donations from individuals are an essential part of our fundraising strategy, constituting over 80% of our income currently. Role Description
To be the driving force behind our engagement with corporates. You will get Hope After Harm “out there”. Identifying opportunities, networking, and bringing in funding all at the same time as making sure our corporate supporters feel engaged and excited. You will work closely with the CEO, to define and deliver our approach and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Researching corporates and creating target list
- Establishing contact through any access route (calls, social media, emails etc)
- Identifying corporate networking events and attending/organising attendance
- Developing corporate offer(s) to engage and excite our funders
- Developing corporate collateral to support our offer
- Keeping existing corporate supporters engaged and excited
- Keeping track of the corporate donor journey ensuring all steps are delivered including “thank you”s, website recognition etc
- Maintaining and updating the pipeline and performing other administrative tasks associated with corporate fundraising including input to reporting
- To work with our Patron to ensure that they are engaged in corporate fundraising as appropriate
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
