This role sits within the Education team who are responsible for delivering BSR’s educational activity. Working alongside the Head of Education, the Events and Education Manager and the Digital Events Manager, you will assist in the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars, bursary schemes and eLearning activities. You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board.
This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community.
Main responsibilities
- Manage course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.
- Manage course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.
- Manage the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery.
- Manage the creation of monthly eLearning packages including webinars, podcasts and eLearning cases.
- Manage the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation.
- Manage CPD accreditation of educational activities.
- Manage events inbox and education team enquiries.
- Input into our education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for projects owned.
- Produce content for webpages and social media platforms to drive interest and engagement and keep delegates informed.
- Attend committee meetings, provide updates if needed and assist with the minute-taking, agenda preparation and follow-up on actions as necessary.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Events and Education Manager.
Please note: Occasional travel is expected including attendance and overnight stays at BSR conferences, courses and events.

You will be able to put your experience of adult education and learning into practice, by supporting the implementation of the Diocesan Strategy (Anti Racism Charter) through the establishment of a racial justice training pathway and the creation of racial justice resources that can be accessed and utilised across the Diocese by Diocesan staff, parishes, and schools.
This will include:
- Evaluating our current Unconscious Bias training programme and implement the lessons learned.
- Delivering racial justice training to parishes and Diocesan staff, particularly Unconscious Bias training.
- Develop the “Train the Trainers” approach and support the training of parish leaders and diocesan staff in becoming racial justice training trainers
- Identify training and resources needs for a variety of stakeholders
- Research and identify new models to be incorporated into a training pathway including in the areas of theology, power, privilege and prejudice.
- Liaise with other Dioceses and the National Church to learn from and seek best practice for racial justice training content and delivery.
- Work with other members of the department to establish a coordinated training programme that offers both face-to-face training and eLearning.
- Develop and maintain an evaluation process for training, including the development of impact indicators.
- Review existing racial justice resources and produce/commission the development of new resources that can be used both locally and national, such as toolkits, cultural occasional offices guide, liturgical resources and school-aged resources for young people and leaders.

The position

Essex Pedal Power is an exciting programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people to cycle by removing the barriers to participation. This post will support the delivery of the Local Delivery Pilot, based in Colchester. Essex Pedal Power allows eligible residents, including adults and children, to apply for a new FREE quality bicycle. The inclusive programme aims to make cycling accessible for everyone providing access to employment, training and educational opportunities or key local services. The project builds on the successful pilot already running in Jaywick and Clacton and is part of a wider roll out in Essex. It will distribute 725 bikes in Colchester throughout 2023-2025 and if successful, will be rolled out to further areas within Essex.

About the Role
Essex Pedal Power is a flagship programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people in deprived areas to cycle by removing the main barriers to cycling. This post is part funded by the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) for Essex. You will lead our Essex Pedal Power team in Colchester working collaboratively to maintain an overview of engagement and impact whilst seeking to maximise opportunities for partnership development. We are looking for an individual with experience of positively leading teams to deliver successful outcomes.
You will report directly to the Community Development Manager.
Main Duties
1.Manage the operational delivery and development of the Essex Pedal Power programme with a focus on collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery to promote active citizenship and physical activity.
2.Monitor the budget to ensure outcomes are met.
3.Develop and maintain a strong delivery team made up of bike mechanic and project support staff, and a team of volunteers ensuring the team have access to development opportunities and support on a one to one and team basis.
4.Devise, understand and use asset-based community development approaches to community development and work with your team/communities to understand priorities and co-design initiatives. Ensure that delivery mitigates or removes the barriers to participation.
5.To evaluate impact and outcomes of projects to provide organisational learning and feedback for funders and stakeholders.
6.Lead on the implementation of the delivery plan in collaboration with a wide range of partners, to arrange for logistics of bike allocations and storage.
7.Administer an admin system to manage participant applications, eligibility and queries of those in the community eligible to receive a free bike.
8.Co-produce the project with the local communities and locally trusted organisations and ensure continuous engagement and communication to ensure that eligible citizens receive a good quality experience.
9.Work closely with Active Essex communications team to undertake effective communication with applicants, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure all communications and marketing aligns with the Essex Pedal Power branding guidelines.
10.To support the development of informal and formal cycling groups and clubs. Organise ongoing events to bring the recipients of bikes together and build a community cycling culture and togetherness.
11.Working closely and engage with; volunteers, citizens, partners and staff in joint design and collaborative planning. Ensure that the design and delivery of the project and future initiatives are in line with aspirations of the priority communities. Ensure all volunteers are safeguarded and supported through the use of the TAWS volunteer management system.
12.Co-ordinate frequent cycle training sessions and bike maintenance sessions for bike recipients.
13.Develop a pool of qualified freelance learn to ride instructors and Ride Leaders to deliver local training and led rides.
14.Using innovation to encourage the uptake and increase of cycling. Ensure that the outcomes of the project support collaborative outcomes with citizens and other partners.
15.Play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation plan, through collecting, analysing and sharing data (quantitative and qualitative) working with the Active Essex Evaluation Researcher for Essex Pedal Power and with TAWS Data & Insight team.
16.Ensure that all health and safety requirements are understood by staff and complied with on a consistent basis; lead and maintain the development of a risk management culture within the team to ensure that innovation and delivery is balanced with citizen safety.
17.Produce oral and written reports on engagement level, activity delivery and the development of new programmes / projects.
18.Support with recruitment of sessional staff, external instructors and volunteers to resource projects and to develop community capacity and sustainable outcomes.

NB Service Coordinators are required to balance management administration with being present in the group's houses. This necessitates some occasional evening and weekend work to be agreed with their line manager.

Main purpose of the role:
- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants.

Leadership and People Management:

- Be on the On-Call rota every 6 - 8 weeks, with flexibility as service requires. (Additional pay provided.)

- Provision of Support to People with Learning Disabilities
- Ensure the provision of high quality personalised support for each person with a learning disability in the Oak group, implementing Person Centred Support Plans to maximise independence, personal choice, and autonomy.

Creating Community
- Attend and organise Community events and celebrations relevant to the role and foster a sense of welcome for all visitors and friends; ensure a regular rhythm of prayer and reflection in accordance with the traditions of L’Arche.
General
- Attend training and personal development courses as required.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post which may be required from time to time.
What We Offer
This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team in the Camden Crisis Teams. We are looking for both full and part time staff, (working hours to be agreed, however, our service runs Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am-5pm), on a permanent contract. Fowler’s Syndrome UK (Registered Charity number 1196903) is a unique patient and clinician led charity that works to raise awareness, promote education and encourage research into the debilitating bladder condition Fowler’s Syndrome. The condition solely affects women and Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world to directly support women with this condition.
Fowler’s syndrome is a life changing and currently almost untreatable condition, affecting up to 20,000 women in the UK. It causes full or partial urinary retention and solely affects women*, meaning they have problems passing urine due to a difficulty in relaxing the urinary sphincter. The peak age of onset is 26. It was first described by Professor Clare Fowler, Emeritus professor of Uro-Neurology at UCLh, and FSUK’s patron, in 1985.
We estimate that there are in excess of 20,000 women in the UK suffering from, but not necessarily diagnosed with, the condition, because of the lack of knowledge about Fowler’s Syndrome both from a patient and clinician perspective.
85% of women with Fowler’s Syndrome say the condition has had a severe or devastating impact on their life.
75% of those with FS have been told their urinary symptoms are due to anxiety or ‘all in their head’
There is low awareness of the condition among the medical community outside of specialist hospitals. Only an estimated 30% of GPs are aware of Fowler’s Syndrome. Once diagnosed, there are few resources available for patients and limited treatment options. Many women feel alone and unsupported.
Our mission is to provide resources, promote education and facilitate research into Fowler’s syndrome; so women with the condition have stigma free access to a timely diagnosis, suitable and effective treatment options, care and psychological support.

The Role: Administrator
The administrator’s role is to support the CEO in the daily management of the charity. This will include administration, delivering resources, comms including social media and website, outreach and events, fundraising and research. It will also include supporting the CEO and Patient Liaison with seminars and conferences, and support groups.

Working with the CEO and administrator to plan, organise and run events, including transformative one-day seminar for healthcare professionals and a two-day seminar for FSUK users and clinicians.
Fundraising: Help the CEO and Patient liaison with fundraising, both on an individual and trust basis.
Community led research: Assist the CEO in creating patient led community research.
Research: Assist the CEO and work with the Patient Liaison in creating and conducting research. Including Patient perspectives input into consensus guidelines for non-surgical management, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer, Patient experiences with sacral neuromodulation, Dr. Caroline Selai, Awareness of FS among UK urology community, Prof Jalesh Panicker via University Cambridge, Physiotherapy treatment experiences with FS and CIUR, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer. Our research will help enable women to receive the support they need and fulfil their potential, offering quicker diagnosis and better treatments and enabling our community to thrive.
There may be occasions where staff are required to work out of hours or support at events, including wish related activities such as our annual wish family Christmas party or wish community events, cheering runners at the London marathon or working at our annual fundraising gala. The aim of the project is to assess the individual over a 12-week period with the aim of identifying their support and housing needs. In that period, we will provide a bed for the customer to assist staff to carry out a detailed assessment to ensure that the recommendation for move on into alternative housing is captured correctly to assist move on for the individual into more suitable accommodation which is correct reflective of their needs based on our assessment/recommendation.
The service operates a model of personalised approach in order to address a wide range of presenting complex needs, which could range from mild learning difficulties, substance use (alcohol and drugs), offending, mental health, dual diagnoses, etc. We work closely with outside agencies in order to ensure that the individual is linked into getting the correct support whilst they remain at the assessment centre.
A major part of the Assessment Support Workers role is putting in the foundation with our customers around basic living skills and preparing the individual to be ready to move into alternative supported accommodation.

What you'll do:
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.

We are looking to recruit a law graduate (1-3 years post-graduation) with experience in environmental law, economic justice and/or international development to join our small but dynamic team. Depending on experience, the role will support our programmes challenging economic injustice caused by environmental damage, biodiversity loss, deforestation, illegal resource trafficking, climate change and conflicts over natural resources; promoting transparency and accountability in public and private institutions to encourage responsibility and minimise the impacts of corruption; and promoting fairer and more effective economic and fiscal policy tools to help states meet development goals and enhance the rule of law. Business Support Coordinator
Location: Leeds, LS12 2AE
Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum

The Role
An exciting opportunity to join their admin team as Business Support Coordinator. This role is all about providing business support to the Forward Leeds management team. This role would be well suited to someone who is extremely organised, methodical in approach and with proven business administration skills and has experience in minute taking.
Key Responsibilities
· To ensure consistency of approach with regard to systems and monitoring across the Units
· To collate FL systems data as required.
· Provide ‘document control’ to the Forward Leeds section of the company extranet.
· To provide direct admin support to the Directors and Management Team.
· To support the Directors to plan and organise meetings, Away Days, Conferences and events.
· To work alongside the quality and performance manager in Leeds and support them with regulatory compliance requirements and governance issues.
· To support the Forward Leeds Board and Intergrated Governance Board
· To support the Chairs of various meeting within the FL Governance Framework ensuring that invites, papers and actions are sent out in a timely manner.
· To attend meetings and produce efficient minutes within 7 working days.
· To work closely with the Directors, Quality and Performance Manager and quality team
· to provide on-going quality assurance support.
Skills and Qualifications
· Outstanding IT skills
· Excellent minute taking abilities
· Excellent organisation skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
· Experience in gathering and collating data and producing financial and statistical reports
· Experience in producing high-quality written work
· Experience of Quality Systems
