About the role

We’re looking for a Digital Experience Manager with a background in managing and developing websites and digital products, as well as previous experience of line management, to join our friendly and expert Digital Team.

As the Digital Experience Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality, accessible and customer-focused online brand presence by optimising content, journeys and audience experience on our website and other digital platforms. By collaborating with specialists internally and externally across UX, UI, development, SEO, content strategy and content management, you will ensure that the overall digital experience meets brand goals and audience needs by being holistic and engaging and inspiring action. 

You will line manage the Developer and Digital Product Officer, providing engaging and motivating leadership, management and personal development support.

You will champion the voices of children and young people with cancer, and their families in everything you do.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Lead on the digital experience strategy for the organisation. Using insight to design, implement, test, measure and optimise as needed.
• Product Ownership of the website experience and content strategy for the site, liaising with internal stakeholders as needed.
• Provide expertise around digital journeys, to continually optimise and improve these, across service delivery and fundraising activities.
• Own the overall roadmap for development on the website and work across teams to support the integration and adoption of third-party digital platforms. Prioritise functionality improvement across the team.
• Establish reporting dashboards and models to use website performance, user insight and other digital and campaign metrics to optimise and develop content and journeys, and to monitor the success of new improvements. P
• Develop our approach to user and audience insight and testing to inform improvements and decision making, use data and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. 
• Lead on SEO, ensure our website content follows SEO best practice, and work on strategies to improve our position in search engine results pages. 
• Accessibility – ensure that our website meets accessibility standards both from a functional perspective and content design.
• Collaborate with teams across the charity on digital experience initiatives that align with overall business goals: manage the optimisation of our digital platforms and design customer-centric strategies that improve user experience, increase satisfaction and loyalty. 
• Take an active role in developing and embedding new ways of working, establishing relationships with other teams and work alongside the Head of Digital to raise the profile and understanding of the team across the charity.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of website management, including managing agency relationships.
• An understanding of end-to-end customer journeys and delivering excellent and engaging user experiences. 
• Working with content management systems and optimising content for SEO.
• Using GA4, monitoring and reporting on trends and interpreting data for action.
• Experience of project managing website development, including scoping, briefing, testing and deployment.
• Involving people with lived experience through co-creation, co-production and evaluation.
• Experience of line managing people and an ability to motivate a team.
• A confident collaborator, able to influence, negotiate and build positive working relationships. 
• A good understanding of accessibility standards for technical development and content design.
• Financially astute, contribute to setting budgets and overseeing spend.

Senior Finance Administrator

The Role

The Senior Finance Administrator is essential to the financial operations of the organisation and is responsible for preparing and sending accurate invoices, managing AR/AP, preparing budgets and reports, improving internal processes and handling finance-related enquiries.

Working closely with the staff team and board, the Senior Finance Administrator provides business support, while ensuring that all financial processes align with the co-operative’s values and strategic goals.

Main duties include:

• Ensure the effective day-to-day running for financial operations in line with processes and procedures

• Regularly review finance systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

• Use CRM and accounting software (Xero) to ensure accuracy of data to manage financial data and information.

• Create financial reports and support business development.

• Create and check invoices for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and cash flow.

• Set up new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with purchasers, manage contract renewals, ensuring all contracts are up-to-date and compliant.

• Support payroll and expense claims

• Handle finance-related enquiries, providing accurate and timely responses.

The position is grounded in the co-operative’s ethos, ensuring financial processes align with the organisation’s values and strategic objectives. About You

You will have demonstrable experience of working in a finance administration role with an excellent understanding of financial principles and practices.

About the role

The post holder will be supporting the Project Coordinator to deliver the My Health Matters project. The role will focus on identifying and addressing systemic health inequalities across Greater Manchester, by utilising a peer research approach.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive Support

• Provide intelligent diary management and full Executive Assistant support to the CEO and two members of the Senior management team

• Project support for the Executive team including drafting presentations and papers, research, presentation of statistics, attending volunteering sessions and assisting in scheduling and task management.

• Manage all arrangements for Steering Group and Board meetings including the preparation of reports and papers proactively ensuring deadlines are met

• Implementation of assistive technology for the preparation of minutes from all governance meetings (c16 per year) and responsible for proofing and finalising minutes, ensuring actions are followed up and deadlines met

• Proactive management of outstanding tasks assigned to team to ensure projects are completed on schedule

• Managing confidential HR information including personnel information ,sickness records, training records and annual leave records

• Tracking required changes to the Staff Handbook and making updates

• Database maintenance and updates, pulling data from external sources and updating mailing and other lists

• Booking meeting venues, lunches and travel arrangements for the Senior Management team

Finance Support 

• Logging expenses on Xero and assisting with credit card reconciliations 

• Raising POs and allocating to correct codes

• Assisting with finance queries and contract administration

• Management and reconciliation of office budget

About Care4Calais and the Legal Access Department

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK. 

In northern France we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding and service provision to displaced people who live in appalling and dangerous conditions. 

Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essential items, as well as providing social support and interaction, including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to medical and educational services. 

Our Legal Access Department is an access to justice project that exists to support people seeking asylum in the UK by facilitating access to legal representation and offering holistic support to people throughout the asylum process. The department, made up mostly of specially trained volunteers, works tirelessly to ensure that people feel informed, empowered, and far less isolated and alone. We conduct one-to-one, complex casework for people seeking asylum for a variety of matters, over the years we have supported thousands of people to secure legal representation. Our current casework channels include securing legal representation and support for people’s asylum claims, challenges to unsuitable accommodation and potential removal from the UK (for example under the previous Rwanda policy), and support of young people in their age dispute matters. Our teams work remotely across the UK. The Department seeks to adapt and amend our services based on the needs of the communities that we work with. 

About the role

The aim of the role is to support and inspire volunteer casework teams to undertake the individual one-to-one casework and support that lies at the heart of what the Legal Access Department does, furthering access to justice for people seeking asylum and refugees. The successful candidate will lead our Asylum Team of volunteer caseworkers to support individuals in their asylum claim, assisting with legal referrals and onward signposting where appropriate. They will work collaboratively with other Volunteer Team Leads and the Head of Department to respond with agility to a fast-moving policy environment.

Responsibilities

Volunteer Team Lead / Coordinator

• Lead existing team(s) of volunteers to undertake their specified casework roles as agreed with the Head of Department.

• Conduct quarterly 1:1s with volunteers to receive feedback, reaffirm commitments, and ensure volunteer wellbeing. Escalate any issues and/or concerns to the Head of Department where necessary.

• Motivate and engage volunteers, taking into account the remote nature of the roles, collaborating with other Volunteer Team Leads.

About the Service 

Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing Mental health Crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and a 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.

As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. 

About the role

As a Crisis House Support Worker, you will work closely with other staff as part of a team in supporting the development of quality Crisis Support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.

Purpose of Post

To be a key member of staff supporting the delivery of the Nightlight mental health Crisis Service. You will take part in a rota which covers a 24/7 hour service, 365 days a year. Drawing upon your own lived and/or professional experience (where applicable,) in order to provide a mix of face-to-face, therapeutic and holistic support for those accessing overnight provision. You will work closely with other staff as part of a team in supporting the development of quality Crisis Support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide emotional support and work towards developing, flexible and realistic crisis/person-centred plans with Service Users.
• To work within agreed guidelines with and for Service Users, whilst being guided and supported by Senior Staff (as well as the Leadership team) in regard to documents/plans such as: Assessments of Need, Risk, Crisis support plans and Review forms.
• (If applicable) To draw upon one’s own lived experience as appropriate, as to promote the delivery of person-centred support.
• To provide immediate and appropriate advice and information to clients as to support with crisis prevention.
• To liaise with Nightlight management and external services such as: police, ambulance service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental health Services, etc. as needed in terms of accepting referrals and proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitating appropriate support.

The Role

Reporting to the Policy Manager, the Policy Officer works to develop UK-wide, evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke. Working closely with the rest of the team, they will consult with internal and external experts as well as stroke survivors as part of the policy development process and ensure final positions are disseminated and used effectively.

The Policy Officer identifies and drafts organisational consultation responses, ensuring submissions are backed up by evidence and are informed by those affected by stroke.

Providing expert policy advice and support to colleagues across the organisation, they monitor the external policy landscape and regularly update colleagues on developments. They also support local systems leadership by providing influencing support to regional colleagues, helping to embed policy across the organisation. 

Working closely with the Public Affairs and Campaigns team, they support influencing activity by providing up-to-date evidence to develop strategies and messages. They also support the public affairs work when necessary, and provide policy support for the Chief Executive and other senior leaders by preparing presentations when required.

They collaborate with external partners and coalitions to represent the Association’s policy aims, and push for the integration of the voice of lived experience in policymaking. 

This role will be provided on a fixed term basis, to cover maternity leave within the team.

Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester is looking for a Chief Executive to lead our team and guide our work supporting local families through the challenges of early parenthood. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to shape the future of our charity, working closely with our dedicated staff, volunteers, and Board of Trustees to bring our vision to life.

About the Role

As Chief Executive, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the charity, ensuring we continue to provide high-quality services to families in need. While the Trustees set the strategic direction, you’ll collaborate with them to turn their plans into action. You’ll manage resources, oversee operations, lead a fantastic team, and represent Home-Start to key supporters and partners in the community. We’re looking for someone who has strong analytical abilities to evaluate service delivery and impact, along with a proven track record in securing and managing funding. You will also need to have excellent team management skills, inspiring and supporting our staff and volunteers to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the charity’s day-to-day operations, ensuring our services have a meaningful impact on local families
• Work closely with our Board of Trustees to implement the charity’s strategic goals
• Analyse service delivery, identify opportunities for improvement, and track impact to ensure we’re meeting the needs of families
• Inspire, support, and manage a talented team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and effective working environment
• Ensure the charity’s financial sustainability by managing resources effectively and generating sustainable income
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, funders, and the local community to ensure long-term support
• Lead fundraising efforts, including securing new funding streams, and ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize impact

About You

We’re looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about making a positive difference in the community. You will have:
• Senior leadership experience, ideally in the charity, social care, or voluntary sector
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and improve service delivery
• Extensive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in securing and managing funding
• Excellent team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead staff and volunteers
• The ability to work collaboratively with a Board of Trustees to deliver on strategy
• Strong operational and financial management experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage stakeholders
• A deep commitment to supporting families and communities, with a shared passion for our mission
