Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious business development professional who has experience in end to end project management and a track record of securing six-figure funding opportunities.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in retaining existing contracts and spearheading the development of new business through public procurement opportunities, which are crucial to Catch22's growth and stability.
You will become an essential part of our entrepreneurial, energetic, and passionate Business Development team, contributing to the achievement of our income targets and growth aspirations. In this role, you’ll forge strong relationships across teams, lead the design of innovative services and products across our operational hubs, and ensure seamless handovers to operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a dynamic portfolio of bidding activities: Leading end-to-end bid management to secure major public sector contracts for Catch22.

Age UK Mid Mersey has just been awarded National Lottery funding to develop and deliver evidence-based Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) group programmes for older people experiencing cognitive impairment or who are diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. MCST is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment. Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
The programme will be overseen by an MCST Team Leader and delivered by a team of four MCST Facilitators, who will work in delivery pairs, and two carers support workers. One MCST Facilitator pair will deliver 2 group sessions a week in Halton and Warrington and the other pair in St Helens and Knowsley.
We are recruiting four part-time MCST Facilitators who will work in delivery pairs. One pair will deliver group programmes in Halton and Warrington and be based in our Runcorn Office. The other pair will deliver programmes in St Helens and Knowsley and be based at our head office in St Helens.
The facilitators will work closely with the MCST Team Leader to plan and deliver MCST programmes in their two Boroughs. Each programme will run for 12 weeks and will consist of four-hour activity sessions with a shared lunch. Facilitators will adapt the session delivery to meet the needs and specific interests of group participants ensuring the sessions are engaging and meaningful.
Facilitators will also work closely with the carers support workers and ensure that joined up support is provided to participants and their significant others.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.
Full training in MCST will be provided alongside comprehensive induction and role specific training.

Job Summary
Community Mental Health Transformation is part of a long-term plan to improve mental health services. Big Life group has commissioned Gaddum to support the development of the lived experience input in a key system change project for the improvement people’s experiences of services. Greater Manchester’s Co-Occurring Conditions project is centred on those who have concurrent mental health and substance use challenges.
Job Purpose
To support the development of lived experience engagement within the co-occurring conditions workstream. You will support people with lived experience to attend and contribute to design and testing session of services and systems.
You will work with the GM Co-Occurring Conditions Team and wider partners across GM to ensure lived experience is at the heart of mental health services in Greater Manchester.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support people with lived experience to engage with the Co-Occurring Conditions workstream.
2. Attendance at events and publicising the programme.
3. Organising and ensuring involvement at Co-occurring Conditions meetings.
4. Developing community interest Representation across Coproduction internally and building opportunities across community led groups and peer groups.
5. Developing Lived Experience activities to encourage collaboration, information sharing and opportunities.
6. Identify and, wherever possible, remove barriers to panel member participation including but not limited to travel, childcare, carer responsibilities and translation costs.
7. Work collaboratively with other coproduction leads across Gaddum.
8. Manage the recruitment specific additional members for each of these opportunities, depending on the theme of the event.
9. Ensure that Lived Experience members, whether from the core group or single invitees, are properly off boarded.
10.Maintain records and data and to provide regular monitoring reports and outcomes, including end of project evaluation report.
11.Contribute to Gaddum newsletters, website, and meetings, sharing information and learning form the programme.
The post-holder will be required to undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by the Senior Leadership Team, which will usually be commensurate with the skills and experience of the post-holder.

Fighting With Pride is a ‘lived experience’ LGBTQ+ military charity, created in January 2020.
FWP supports LGBTQ+ veterans, serving personnel and their families. This support focuses on those who were affected by the ‘gay ban’.
The Chief Executive is responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing FWP strategic and operation plans, leading on partnership and development across Government, military charities and key stakeholders and being an advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries. They will be responsible for ensuring financial control and supporting and advising on good governance across all aspects of the Charity. This post directly reports to the Chair and Board of Trustees.
The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week and is on a permanent employment contract. The salary is up to £60,000 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
Be the principal ambassador of the charity.
To work in close partnership with the Chair and Board of Trustees to design, shape and implement the new strategy.
Lead, support, and motivate all staff, creating a positive culture throughout the organisation, delivering the charity’s aims, objectives, and ambitions.
Seek out, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with the Government and all relevant stakeholders to promote the work of the charity and facilitate the implementation of its strategic objectives.
Lead development of the vision, mission, core values and objectives in the Strategic Plan, providing advice, guidance and evidence-based proposals to the Chair and Board of Trustees.
Strategy
Work with the Board to develop a new FWP strategic vision and be responsible for leading its implementation.
Work towards long-term sustainability, developing the charity’s business model and maximising income.
Adopt a creative and innovative approach to development, remaining open to new ideas and opportunities.
Identify appropriate methods for monitoring the performance of FWP and to report to the trustees on the performance of the charity in line with its strategy, business, operational and annual plans, and against the annual budget as approved by the Board.
Operations
Take executive responsibility for all functions including service delivery, administration, finance, fundraising, marketing, and communications.
To run FWP efficiently and effectively by ensuring FWP has an appropriate management structure and systems, including financial reporting, to fulfil its strategic objectives and report to the Board of Trustees.
To ensure management policies and decisions support the agreed vision, mission, values, philosophy, and strategic priorities of FWP.
To ensure business, operational, and annual plans to underpin the strategic plan are developed, agreed, and implemented.
To ensure the recruitment, management, training, and development of staff reflect good employment practice and are directed towards achieving FWPs objectives.
Ensure FWP services and projects are delivered to the highest standard with due regard for timescales, risks and budgets.
Finance
Lead and direct the financial planning, forecasting, control reporting and management of the organisations finances and resources, ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainable organisational growth.
Take executive responsibility for the financial leadership of the charity, including forecasting and strategic budget leadership.
Ensure the charity’s financial resources are managed effectively and that FWP remains in good financial health, identifying risks and taking appropriate action.
Maintain effective financial management and control systems; ensure delivery within budgets and to performance targets and oversee the production of management accounts, statutory accounts and annual reports.
Governance and Compliance
Coordinate with the Board to ensure FWP overall governance structure and policies and procedures are appropriate and effective, taking remedial measures and implementing changes, as necessary.
Attend all Board meetings and prepare a written report in advance of the meeting detailing all matters of interest and concern regarding the charity’s activities, including the production of management accounts and cash flow forecasts. Ensure the Board is made aware in a timely fashion of any matters arising requiring its attention.
Develop and maintain effective operational policies and processes in all the charity’s areas of operation. Review and update the policies and content to meet legal, regulatory and best practice needs.
Oversee the development and practical application of all organisational policies and procedures e.g. with regard to health and safety, equality and diversity, and safeguarding.
Ensure the charity complies with best practice in all areas of operation.
Oversee the designated safeguarding lead ensuring the safeguarding of the vulnerable adults with whom the charity works through rigorous DBS procedures and staff training.
Take responsibility for the collection and protection of personal information ensuring this complies with relevant Data Protection regulations.
Ensure all major risks are identified and regularly reviewed, and that systems and procedures are in place to mitigate all such risks. To be responsible for the development and implementation of the charity’s Risk Register.

We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.
You will manage a team to help develop innovative fundraising products, grow our supporter base and provide exceptional supporter stewardship.
Income generation
- Responsible for supporting the development of a 3-year community fundraising income strategy to grow income from a modest base of £125k per year to circa £275k per year.

About the role
An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.
Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.
An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Our client is a small UK rare disease charity. Our client established at the end of 2015 to respond to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). MCAS is a crippling, unpredictable and frightening condition affecting the immune system. Sufferers from MCAS have “wrongly programmed” immune systems that react to a wide range of triggers including food, drink, stress, temperature and many others. The effects range from unpleasant allergic reactions, through to an overall debilitation resulting in people being unable to leave their houses. It was first recognised internationally in 1990, with a set of diagnostic criteria agreed in 2011, but is little known or understood in the UK, where incidence seems to be increasing.
