The role

We are looking for a Supporter Acquisition Executive to play a key role in the fundraising that supports NDCS's work to support deaf children and their families. This post will manage relationships with fundraising supporter acquisition agencies, particularly working door to door and face to face, to recruit tens of thousands of new supporters every year.

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a motivated and compassionate veteran with experience in addiction recovery, mental health services or veteran welfare to help us expand and develop the SMART Veterans Programme in Scotland. You need to have experience of working with vulnerable people, or in supporting the welfare of individuals, ideally military personnel or veterans. Facilitation of meetings, training and group sessions is essential as is your knowledge of the needs veterans have when they leave service. Knowledge of what addiction recovery is and how recovery programmes work is important with knowledge of the SMART Recovery 4-point Programme being highly beneficial.

There are also team development residental trips away with the SMART team every year.

In addition, you will contribute to the global development of SMART Recovery via veteran orientated projects identified by SMART Recovery International. It is essential that you can travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.

The Role
As our Youth Development Programmes Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging programmes that inspire young people to thrive. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, you’ll lead workshops, co-produce impactful projects with young people, and build strong relationships with community organisations. Your creativity, passion, and organisation will ensure every young person we support has the tools to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inspiring workshops, training, and events for young people.
• Work with young people to co-produce projects that drive real change.
• Build relationships with schools, youth services, and community partners.

Youth Development Programmes Coordinator
Location: Media City, Greater Manchester 
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed term (potential renewal subject to funding)

The Role

This is a key role acting as a delivery partner on our projects, working on streams of community work, and within the staff team.  This role is part of the Extended Leadership Team at National Flood Forum

Responsibilities

• Projects and Workstreams: Overseeing and ensuring outstanding delivery on multiple community projects through Flood Action Groups and Multi-Agency Meetings. Support and manage data collection that meets the aims of each project.
• Community Engagement: Engage and empower communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes.  Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change.
• Report Writing: Ensure reports are on time and are to depth and quality required.
• Staff Training – Ensuring a comprehensive training package is delivered to new starters and continuous professional development of all staff.
• Team Management: Line manage staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Modelling behaviours and driving forward team development.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong partnerships and leading on communications.
• Political and Fundraising Support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political influencing and fundraising activities. Contribute to and attend policy, political and strategic meetings.  Support fundraising activities through providing data and information. 
• Income: Identify future income opportunities, sharing information and building relationships for new projects or new income streams with MT.  
• Support Senior Management Team proactive role to support to deliver NFF objectives.

Day-to-Day Activities

· You will manage and support Flood Engagement Officers to deliver their projects and work streams and managing development pathways for team members.

• Liaise and develop relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operational and community engagement activities.
• Support Senior Management Team to build income streams and develop new activity. Working to develop, support and deliver NFF strategy
• Providing information and case studies for communications and advocacy work

· You will be acting as the main contact for projects and agreed activities.

As a Youth Development Lead – Enterprise, your mission is to be the driving force behind young entrepreneurs' success stories. The Enterprise programmes aim is to support young people interested in self-employment to explore and test their ideas, write business plans and start their own businesses or achieve alternative outcomes in education, training, volunteering or work.

You'll be the guiding light for a caseload of young people, helping them successfully launch their business ideas and work towards those vital business start targets. We also won’t have you sitting still as travel will be required, exploring your local area to assist in the programme delivery of our Exploring Enterprise course as needed. The delivery can be a mix of online, in-centre or out in the community.

Crafting robust and viable business plans will be your forte. Cash flow forecasts, personal survival budgets, and sector-specific insights are all part of your toolkit. Job Overview

• Responsible for developing and delivering all fundraising events with the support of the Fundraising Events Manager
• Ensure that all event participants - virtual or physical have an exceptional experience to maximise income and are placed at the heart of everything that we do.
• Build excellent relationships with event participants to ensure future event participation.
• Support the FEM in creating and implementing user journeys for each event and review regularly based on audience insight and current event fundraising trends.  
• Create tailored fundraising materials with the support of our marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all event project plans are in place, liaise with stakeholders to ensure that all deadlines are met, working within budget and ensuring income targets are met.
• Steward participants based on their supporter journey.  To include calls, sending supporter communications, providing fundraising support, following up to ensure donations are received, personalised thanking and survey. 
• Attendance at events to enhance our supporters experience and deepen their relationship with Ben.
• Work with FEM and marketing team to produce marketing collateral, merchandise and other support materials based on each event. 
• Ensure that all participants have a fundraising page on Enthuse and Salesforce is updated with all current contact information. Including income and communications. 
• To lead and deliver on certain Ben and Third-party events including supervising Ben employees and on-site contractors.
• Ensure that all bookings are invoiced, and payment received.
• Monitor and maintain social media groups and WhatsApp groups created for our Fundraising Events
• Update webpages relating to our Fundraising events with current content.
• Identify and capture inspiring stories from our event participants to share across our media and digital channels.
