The Director of Fundraising be responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. This will include the day-to-day management of the existing fundraising team and championing fundraising at senior management level and with the Board.

The ideal candidate will have:

- 5 to 10 years of fundraising experience, including managing a fundraising department.

- Proven track record of achieving a step change in income generation

- Experience of two of the following fundraising methodologies: Grants, Corporate, Community and events, Legacies, High net worth individuals or Commissioning

Evidence of continuous professional development in fundraising together with management experience and/or qualification is essential. As is strong digital skills, with a track record of maximising the use of CRMs and excellent business writing skills.

Must have good internal and external interpersonal skills, be an inspirational leader and capacity to represent Bipolar UK at a senior level.

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London. 

We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.

The Grants and Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO in order to ensure that income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of our services and activities. Taking the lead on applications to trusts and grant giving organisations, the successful candidate will also work with our fundraising working group (made up of staff, trustees and volunteers) to maximise diverse income generation strategies on a community and individual level. 

Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. We were founded by volunteers, and are proud that volunteers are still key to the deliver of our charitable services. Position: Grants and Fundraising Manager

Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid. 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), core hours of 9.00am–5.30pm but flexible and part-time working hours will be considered.

Purpose:

Key Activities & Accountabilities: 

Income generation

• Research, prepare and submit high quality applications for core and project funding to Charitable Trusts and Foundations, corporate bodies and other partners as required to meet the charity’s core purpose 

• Maintain a realistic pipeline of existing and potential applications for all funding streams.

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing Trust funders, donors and other supporters of The Food Chain as appropriate 

• Ensure timely acknowledgement of income to all donors and accurate and comprehensive donor and income records on the Salesforce CRM.

• Ensure that accurate and engaging funder reports are written and provided to the funder on time.

• Ensure that record keeping relating to all fundraising activity is accurate, up to date and timely, using Salesforce CRM 

• Ensure that all necessary reporting to all funders is of a high quality and submitted in a timely manner.

• To work with the Trustee Fundraising Sub-Group providing support providing facilitation to the group including researching prospective donors and implementing action plans.

• Develop and implement fundraising initiatives to increase support from, and enhance our profile with all potential donors, including corporate partners and individuals.

Financial management

• Understand the organizational budget, to identify gaps in funding and opportunities for fundraising.

• Support the CEO in Monitoring cash flow forecasts and the budget against actuals and bring any major variations in planned income and grant payments for discussion to the CEO.

In this varied and versatile role you will work as part of the communications team to raise the charity’s profile and celebrate its positive impact for patients and NHS staff.  You'll work closely with the charity’s grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising teams to promote key activities.You’ll play an active role in ensuring the team’s aims and objectives are met, using a range of communications approaches including internal comms, digital marketing and public relations. About this role

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.

• Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
• Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences

Social Media and website

• Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms

This is a new role giving you the opportunity and responsibility to build on our successful fundraising and extend our appeal to new donors as well as maintain our existing supporters. Are you our new Digital Communications Officer?

We are looking for a creative social media native who is comfortable not only with presenting UWC to different audiences but also collaborating and supporting our different stakeholders in doing so. You will join the Communications and Engagement Team at the UWC International Office (UWCIO) which consists of six people and report to the Digital Communications Manager.

As a Digital Communications Officer, you will create, develop and deliver content across all UWC International’s social media channels in line with our social media strategy and lead on sourcing or creating the relevant, required reporting to demonstrate engagement and impact. You will also support UWC’s truly global network of volunteers through digital resources, templates and training. In doing so, you will use your digital communications skills for the better, contributing to the success of the movement and supporting young people to access transformational educational opportunities they would otherwise not have dreamt of.

Part of the larger Advancement Team at UWC International, the Communications and Engagement Team provides the UWC movement with strategic leadership, support and advice in the area of internal and external communication, PR, promotion, marketing, crisis communications, alumni and wider community engagement, and partnerships with other organisations. The Team has a coordination and support function for teams across the UWC International Office, as well as other UWC stakeholders globally, such as UWC schools, colleges, national committees and governance bodies. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, committed and highly organised Fundraising Manager. The postholder will have a central role in working with the Head of Fundraising to secure grants from statutory agencies and trusts and foundations but will also work to steward relationships with individual donors, support innovative digital fundraising campaigns and assist in the delivery of targeted fundraising activities and events. There is significant scope and opportunity for the Fundraising Manager to develop the charity’s work arounds trusts and foundations, individual giving, challenge/community events and corporate partnerships.

You will be ambitious and creative with a positive attitude, happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved to enable us to achieve our goals. This role would be ideal for applicants with successful fundraising experience and could suit someone wishing to progress their fundraising careers by stepping up into a Fundraising Manager role.

Fundraising Supporter Development Coordinator

About the role

CUF equips people and churches to build just and flourishing communities where they live, so everyone across England can access support when they need it most.

Our fundraising team is a valued part of this, and as our supporter development coordinator, you will coordinate campaigns, direct marketing appeals and other supporter communications, using fundraising best practice, to maximise Church Urban Fund’s income for all components of individual and church giving. This role will report to the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

Job Description

Location: Hybrid: Office base is in London with expectation for a minimum of one day per week in the office (The Foundry, 17 Oval Way, Vauxhall, London, SE11 5RR)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible working arrangements considered)

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.

Annual Leave: 22 days + 3 CUF discretionary days + Bank Holidays per annum.

Key Responsibilities

Instigate and undertake activities in the following key areas:

· Recruiting new individual supporters through on- and off-line channels, and by identifying prospects from within CUF’s connected audiences;

· Increasing lifetime support from existing individual givers through appeals, feedback pieces, and other engagement mechanisms;

· Being responsible for income and expenditure, including analysis of results and insight about data trends and ROI

OVERVIEW AND JOB PURPOSE

Pump Aid is a dynamic, award winning and growing organisation, which is promoting a radically different approach to aid and development in the WASH sector by establishing Malawi’s first social impact business (Beyond Water) focused on delivering reliable access to clean water for rural communities. We challenge conventional development programmes by taking a business-based approach that ensures long term sustainability and impact for the communities we work with. Clean water results in better health, increases educational attainment and reduces inequality for women and girls across Malawi.

To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can plan and create compelling communications to increase awareness of our work and engage new and existing supporters. Furthermore, you will lead on key areas of our fundraising strategy including annual fundraising campaigns, individual giving and small trusts and foundations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You will lead on defined elements of Pump Aid’s fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small to medium sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals.)
• You will develop and manage a schedule of compelling communications across a number of channels including social media, web and print that will grow engagement with Beyond Water’s mission.
• You will support the Head of Development to pitch to social impact and philanthropic investors by finding creative ways to differentiate ourselves from traditional approaches to international development.
• You will take responsibility for managing and administrating fundraising income, using Salesforce CRM to keep up to date records of donations, keeping donors updated through regular reports and leveraging annual campaigns including the Big Give Christmas Campaign to maximise individual giving donations.
• Maximise the value and duration of donor support through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
• While office hours are notionally 9:00am to 5:30pm, the demands of a business focussed on Africa, with donors in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia mean a degree of flexibility is required.

Candidate Profile

1. Strong experience in planning and executing communications plans across a variety of mediums (social media, website, blog posts, impact reports) to grow awareness and engagement with the work of our social enterprise

2. Demonstrable success in fundraising within the charity sector; scoping, prospecting, proposal writing and reporting.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present to a variety of audiences

4. Experienced in home working and able to self-motivate and develop and execute personal work and action plans with limited face to face supervision

5. Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage conflicting outcomes and objectives and ensure the right job is completed at the right time

6. Works well in a small, dynamic team

7. High level of computer literacy – Canva, Microsoft Office, Salesforce or similar CRM software

9. Experience working in international development is preferable.

The role will be responsible for proactive and reactive media relations; effective engagement on social media; developing engaging content for our website; supporting on Calls for Evidence and drafting copy for marketing materials, including our e-newsletter. Our ideal candidate would also have experience of working on fundraising and awareness campaigns; and the ability to create content on social media in line with branding guidelines. Experience in developing communications strategies and reporting on Key Performance Indicators are essential.
