John Lyon’s Charity gives grants to benefit children and young up to the age of 25 (or upto 30 for younger people with special educational needs and/or disabilities) who live within nine Boroughs in West, Central and North London. JLC has distributed over £298 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year.

We are delighted to be working with John Lyon’s Charity to recruit a permanent Office Manager/PA (Full-time or Part-time) to join its great team based in Central London.

The role:

This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it embarks on a new chapter of its strategic objectives in grant giving. JLC is looking for an Office Manager to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. The Office Manager will be responsible for providing reception duties and be the Charity’s first point of contact by telephone and for in person visitors, they will respond to enquiries received by post, telephone, or email, provide office and facilities management support to the Charity staff team, and provide executive assistance and diary management to the Chief Executive. The role is to create and maintain a pleasant working environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, communication, and safety.

The person:

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a knack for keeping things organized and a flair for fostering a positive atmosphere. JLC is looking for an individual with experience of office management and administration including diary management. This will include having excellent organizational skills with experience of managing immediate and long-term deadlines, processing invoices, computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook). This person will also be able to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative and work calmly under time pressure managing day-today operation.

The Policy and Campaigns Manager is responsible for leading on CLAPA’s campaigning and policy work across the UK.  This is a new direction for CLAPA and a key part of the role will be to develop a clear strategy and action plan to ensure a focused and targeted approach to this area of work.

Oak National Academy is an independent public body, funded by the Department for Education. We help improve the quality of curriculum teachers teach and pupils access, and lower teacher workload from lesson planning. We achieve this by providing free access to thousands of teacher-made, fully-sequenced teaching resources, aligned to the national curriculum, and inspiration and advice for schools on how to design their own curriculum.

We are looking for new members to join our Board as Non-Executive Directors. The role will require a commitment of up to 20 days per year (with some in-person meetings in London). Remuneration at the rate of £316 per day.

As a charity, we advocate for the key role of statistics and data in society and work to ensure that policy formulation and decision-making are informed by evidence for the public good. Members work with RSS staff to support areas such as policy development, education, training, statistical communication, and statistical literacy.

The Director of Professional Services is responsible for our professional affairs activities, overseeing the creation, maintenance and application of relevant standards through our professional affairs committee, and certification and accreditation schemes. They are also responsible for member recruitment and management, ensuring we continue to attract new RSS members and partners, and that their needs are met. They also oversee a range of activities that engage RSS members (including groups that bring members together on a topic or geographical basis, RSS honours and awards, and our volunteering opportunities), securing both our impact on society and member retention. 

Informed by an in-depth understanding of the needs of members and prospective members, the Director manages these activities strategically across the organisation, bringing relevant staff together within small teams working on defined goals that support our objectives, foster a sense of value and community for all members and ultimately lead to the growth in membership and impact of the Society. 

Pension and benefits: Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). Location: The RSS office is in central London and currently open twice a week. We offer flexible working arrangements and office attendance is encouraged but not mandatory depending on the role. The Vacancy

The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.

Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.

The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.

The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.

They will have proven skills and experience in programme management and support, successful programme design processes and bid leadership.

Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training

• With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.

About the role:

As our Head of New Partnerships, this role will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our long-term high-value partnerships strategy over the next 3-5 years. You will be responsible for leading a team of new business specialists to attract and secure new partnerships to join the portfolio of Commercial, Strategic and Transformational partnerships. As we move into the implementation of our new 5 year strategy, you will also be responsible for recruiting new impact partners or funders to support our key strategic goals in the region.

You will lead on the implementation of the new business strategy, offering guidance and effective line management, through a growth mindset. In addition, this role will connect global conversations for developing new, impact-led Transformational global partnerships at scale. 

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Develop and implement the New Partnership strategy in line with the wider Corporate and impact Partnerships strategy.
• Support and lead New Partnership Managers to develop engaging, holistic, strategic pitch materials to drive high-value partnerships, focussed on income and impact.
• Manage a portfolio of high-value prospects and a growing pipeline across the team, ensuring a long-term approach to reach 3-5 year income and impact targets
• Work closely with Director of Partnerships to provide accurate income forecasting and monthly budget reports, ensuring the New Partnership team delivers its annual financial target.
• Ensure team leverages Movember’s year-round moments, events,  campaign opportunities and key impact programmes to drive new partners.
• Work closely with New Partnership Managers to ensure all new business KPIs are met, whilst maximising opportunities to deliver maximum value through income, reach, brand relevance, GIK/ VIK, and impact.
• Support team on all contract negotiations and provide guidance on best practice to ensure highest value for Movember, whilst striving for multi-year, multi-market contracts.
• Maintain a high knowledge of industry trends and activity to influence and guide innovation in partnerships.
• Manage and motivate the New Partnerships team, providing direction and specialist advice.
• Working with the Head of Global Partnerships Operations, the Directors of Partnerships in the key markets and the Chief Growth Officer, contribute to the recruitment and development of Global Transformational Partnerships

For this role, you’ll need:

• 7+ years’ experience in senior business and fundraising/revenue development roles
• Has a proven track record in managing significant revenue generation accountabilities of 6 and 7 figure partnerships
• Experience of developing impact led partnerships and income.
• Has strong networks and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with senior stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders
• Ability to use data to drive decisions
• Demonstrated people management experience
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills

About the Role

MSI provides services via our Outreach, Public Sector Strengthening and MSladies channels to underserved and marginalised communities. In MSI we call these “Pillar1, Leave no-one behind channels”. These channels are the core of our high impact delivery (high impact clients, adolescents, those living in poverty).  

Specifically, the role is accountable for: 1) engaging and representing MSI in sector dialogue relating to Pillar 1 to contribute to sector learning, influence and impact; 2) development of pillar 1 operational best practices that can be cascaded across MSI countries to further improve impact; 3) developing MSI overarching “Leave no-one behind” strategy and leading testing of new models of service delivery  

The Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of MSI and is a member of the Technical Services Team. This role reports to the VP & Director of the Technical Services Department. There is a high level of interaction with MSI’s Executive Team, Regional Directors Fundraising team. It is a full-time role, based out of London or core countries where MSI has an operating entity, with possibility of remote work for exceptional candidates.  This role will require extensive travel to MSI Country Programmes in Africa and Asia, London, Europe and USA to ensure that we are in the right places, at the right time, among the right people to further our mission.

• You should possess a comprehensive understanding of SRHR guidelines, policies, and best practices on a global scale. Your knowledge should span across short-acting and long-acting contraception methods, safe abortion practices, and strategies for reaching adolescents and marginalized communities. A strong background in health system strengthening is crucial, including familiarity with different health system frameworks and how they contribute to overall system performance.
• Significant technical experience at an advisory level in SRHR. Have designed and produced best practice guidelines or training materials related to SRHR best practices, and operations, especially in remote service delivery, SRHR in the public sector; or in reaching adolescents. An understanding of global and regional SRHR trends, as well as awareness of the latest research and evidence-based practices, will be invaluable in this role.
• Strategic acumen: We're seeking a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights. You should be adept at identifying unmet consumer needs and market gaps, and able to develop compelling strategies that align with our broader business objectives. Your ability to anticipate future scenarios and develop innovative responses will be crucial in navigating the ever-changing landscape of SRHR.

Salary: £66,200 – £86,700 per annum for UK based candidates. Discretionary bonus + benefits. For all other locations, the salary will be banded within the national context.

A little bit about the role

The Head of Delivery is responsible for all aspects of programme organisation and delivery. They are a vital and senior position expected to bring exceptional social work knowledge and expertise to the implementation and further development of Approach Social Work and wider work of the charity. They are required to work collaboratively with all teams on the programme, including curriculum, admissions and support, recruitment, partnerships and programme management.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about driving standards in social work through excellent practice, leadership and innovation, who can manage a geographically dispersed team and work effectively and closely with the Head of Delivery (North) and Head of Curriculum to ensure  a consistent one-team approach to programme delivery. 

The successful candidate will be a highly effective leader and manager of people with an ability to operationalise a large programme and develop strategic plans that support retention and quality. You will have a clear vision for outstanding social work practice and education with a commitment to systemic practice and other practice models.

Please note that you must be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and possess a Masters’ degree in Social Work (or related subject) to apply.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Setting a cohort culture with high expectations, strong support and commitment to the mission amongst participants.

This is a senior leader role at Frontline, so in addition to the experience needed, a commitment to and passion for better social work and a leadership approach that is anti racist, rooted in equity, diversity and inclusion is paramount.
