East Sussex Transitional Housing is a low-support service, providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for 102 young people between the ages of 18-25 who have been, or are, at risk of homelessness. We have a small, supportive, and established team which manages 19 housing properties across, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.
We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our East Sussex Transitional team. You will be based at the YMCA office in Eastbourne but will be visiting our seven properties around Eastbourne each week, meeting with residents in their homes and at the office - main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing
You will hold a caseload of young people who are housed across our sites with the support of the team. Support provided is light touch, and a good knowledge of partner agencies is essential for relevant signposting
Interview young people to assess their suitability for our housing
Support young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules in preparation for independent living. Helping young people navigate shared living skills is key to this role and includes facilitating house meetings, rotas and cleaning sessions
Support young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent and liaise with housing benefit
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people
Complete Occupancy Sign up and induction with incoming residents
Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent, ASB or breaches of Health and Safety, using restorative practices
Contribute to maintaining properties to a high standard including conducting health and safety checks
Support and Engagement
Light touch support to residents, signposting to partner agencies as appropriate
Support each resident to develop their own person-centred Support Plan with short- and long-term goals to work towards independent living skills and their next accommodation steps
Arrange Review Meetings with young people at least once every 3 months to update and review risk assessments and support plans
Check in with each resident at least once a week
Encourage a culture of education, employment and engagement
Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)
General
Work as part of a team
Treat young people at the service in a non-judgmental and psychologically informed way
Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

Are you an experienced Angular developer who would like to join with other Christians in Tearfund's work with local churches around the world tackling poverty?
This role within a team of 13 developers will allow you to use your strong technical experience to serve people living in poverty in more than 50 countries around the world through providing effective applications for the design, monitoring & evaluation of our front-line projects and for our finance staff.
This is a key time for the team as we start the migration of our project design, monitoring & evaluation application to Angular. In this post you will work alongside our other Angular developers, sharing their expertise and building an application which will enable our staff and local church partners around the world to demonstrate the amazing impact of our work in the communities we work with.
The team is also crucial to our finance staff, being responsible for the development and support of an Angular application which is critical for finance data entry across the countries we work in. We are keen to leverage AI to increase productivity in this area so experience in working with AI technologies, or an interest in learning, would be an advantage.
Although not essential, experience of Power BI would also be useful as we extend our reporting suite, using our SQL Server data warehouse to demonstrate the impact of our work and provide vital financial information to staff across Tearfund. Thanks to our MS Azure integrations, our data warehouse contains combines data from multiple applications and our developers are key in bringing that data to life in ways that can help users across the organisations make data-led business decisions.

Reporting to the NZC Programme Manager, and working closely with CCB's Deputy Director for Church Buildings, critical to success in this role will be ensuring that the programme's approach to church decarbonisation is developed in close alignment with CCB's wider role in providing guidance and support to dioceses and parishes.
Strategic Leadership:
- Bringing strategic focus to how we structure and segment the decarbonisation journey and offer across our church portfolio to develop and refine the decarbonising churches workstream strategy.
- Aligning the net zero ambitions of the churches workstream with the context of our churches as significant heritage buildings. Balancing the potentially conflicting needs of decarbonisation, heritage, conservation and the needs of the building's users in our approach.
Grant Management and Delivery:
- Overall delivery responsibility for the NZC Programme's grant streams to churches.
Workstream Delivery:
- Developing a clear and coherent approach to decarbonisation in churches, working closely with colleagues from across the Cathedral and Church Buildings team.

Summary
The Bishop of Oxford is seeking a Senior Chaplain for an initial period of 4 years to be a resource to the Bishop and senior colleagues in practical support and theological reflection. You will need to be a good team player, adaptable, flexible, assisting the Bishop with daily routine matters, including contact with others face to face, and by telephone and correspondence, over matters of a pastoral, theological, liturgical and disciplinary nature. The role is based at Church House, Kidlington with a salary of £33,985 per annum and a house will be provided. The Bishop's Chaplain will:
- Be a resource to the Bishop in theological reflection and endeavour.
Assist the Bishop with daily routine matters, including contact - face to face, by telephone and correspondence - over matters of a pastoral, theological, liturgical and disciplinary nature, drafting letters and references in the Bishop's name and responding in their own name to letters addressed to the Bishop where appropriate.
Act as required as the Bishop's personal representative with individuals, to parishes and at particular events/meetings, and on task groups within the Diocese including the chairing of the Diocesan Emergency Planning Gold Group and liaison with faith leaders across the three counties.
Act on the Bishop's behalf to offer pastoral support at senior level to colleagues across the Diocese and co-ordinate the offering of such support to clergy, survivors of abuse and complainants and respondents.
Help to maintain and build on the effective and efficient communication which exists among the Bishop's Staff and between the Bishop's Office and other offices, particularly those of the Diocesan Secretary, the Cathedral Chapter, the Communications Officer, the Safeguarding Adviser and the Diocesan Registry.
Liaise with the Registry with regard to ordinations; the issue of licences; and other legal documents.

Key requirements
- The Senior Chaplain's main place of work is Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington, Oxford, OX5 1GF
- The expectation is of a similar time commitment as a parish priest. As a general rule the Chaplain will be expected to share in morning worship outside office hours, and to keep office hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with a break for lunch. There is an expectation of some work, and ministry being exercised, outside office hours. There will be some evening commitments. The rest day is generally a Saturday.

The Role
The Supporter Experience Officer is responsible for giving supporters a fulfilling and enjoyable relationship with the charity. They deepen supporter relationships and strengthen sources of income by working strategically across the whole supporter journey.

This role is part of the Connexional Team Learning Network, supporting, encouraging, and equipping the Church to live out ‘Our Calling’ through worship, mission, evangelism and discipleship. The Learning Network primarily works with lay and ordained leaders, helping them equip others.
This post contributes to Connexional-wide learning and development initiatives, and is specifically aligned with the Chester & Stoke-on-Trent District and the Isle of Man District. Chester & Stoke-on-Trent District has a strong Primitive Methodist heritage, which is felt in the life and culture of the District. The Isle of Man is a self-governing Crown-Dependency where Methodism and Celtic Spirituality are strong components of the Manx identity.
