We are looking for an Education in Emergencies Programme Specialist to develop, grow and oversee a portfolio of humanitarian and resilience projects in collaboration with colleagues globally in the areas of implementation. The role will work across grant management, programme development, and stakeholder management both internally and externally, and will contribute to the growth and quality of the Education in Emergencies (EiE) project portfolio by providing EiE technical support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in humanitarian responses and high-risk environments.
- Expertise in securing/managing institutional donor-funded projects (e.g., FCDO, UN).
- Knowledge of Education in Emergency standards and gender-responsive programming.

The Role
Resources for Autism has been providing services from 858 Finchley Road for many years and now working in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet are excited to be establishing the space as an Autism Hub for Children and Young People (CYP). The vision of the hub, is to create a welcoming, safe, neuro-affirmative place where autistic people and those who love and care for them can access the support and social opportunities they need at the right time, enabling them to live their best life. It will also be a place where professionals can connect, collaborate and learn ensuring services are joined-up and effective.
The service will offer a range of support to parents and carers and children and young people with autism in Barnet. The service offer could include:
- Advice support and signposting to the autism community pre and post diagnosis
- Weekly drop ins
- Social groups for autistic young people and those who love and care for them.
- Calendar of monthly workshops on specific issues addressing the needs of parent carers/ adults
- Behaviour surgeries for parents
- Autism Training to partner organisations
The Autism Support Worker roles provide access, support, outreach and reception services within an Children & Young people’s Autism Hub, and support to the Hub Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring that services delivered in the hub are effectively supported, monitored and focused to meet the needs of autistic children 0-19 Years and their families.
We are looking for a values-driven candidate with previous experience of working with and supporting children and young people and families. Knowledge and experience of working with autism is preferred but an understanding of SEN/LD will be essential.
You will have a great team of people around you and the opportunity to be a part of an innovative wellbeing project which will make enhance the offer for the Autism Community of Barnet.
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide an efficient and welcoming access point for families accessing a range of services at the CYP Autism hub, working as part of a team of staff providing support for effective service delivery.
· Provide and facilitate advice, guidance and signposting to families accessing the Autism Hub. This may be via telephone, email or in person.
· Support and manage a small caseload of 15-20 families requiring a ‘medium’ level of bespoke support and interventions, ensuring clear aims and goals are set and then empowering the children/family to achieve these.
· Host and/or co-host drop-in sessions, coffee mornings and/ or information sessions for CYP and families on different associated topics connected to autism. This will include facilitating peer support sessions and co delivered ‘workshops’ with partners on different themes.
· Provide effective administrative support to the Hub Business Manager, carrying out administrative duties as directed.
· Support the identification and registration of families with children 0-19 Years within the Hub, working alongside 0-19 Early Help Practitioners and Barnet CSC to encourage and monitor access to provision to ensure that emerging needs are met at the earliest opportunity and access data is correctly recorded and up to date.
· Ensure that activities, access and registration details are captured on RfA’s databases, supporting the Hub Manager to collate data and ensure accurate recording.
· Support the identification, monitoring and planning for eligible families and children within Barnet CSC to advise eligible families of the Hub, it’s services and support and the services available via other partners to ensure maximum take up and access of the service.
· Ensure that any families requiring additional support are flagged up with the Hub Manager and Barnet CSC staff to maintain an effective link to more targeted support and providing continuity of intervention.
· Ensure that local families are given opportunities to become involved in the planning and delivery of services, particularly those in need of support.
· Support meeting and venue booking arrangements, providing administrative support for hub staff, meetings, taking responsibility for sending out invitations, compilation of packs, papers and minute-taking.
· Take responsibility for own role in child protection, parenting, health and safety and premises issues and other related functions to contribute to a co-ordinated team approach to child safety and well-being.
· Undertake training and development necessary to develop in your role as an autism specialist.
· The role requires direct contact with a range of families accessing services. The role will involve working with different partner agencies.
· Some travel may be required across Barnet.
· Uphold and adhere to the values of RfA at all time.
· Ensure there is always compliance with RfA’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
· All staff are expected to promote equality in the workplace and in our services.

Essential
Experience of working successfully in a people service delivery position

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Children’s Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (CHIDVA) to provide high quality practical and emotional support to children who are living in Warwickshire and have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
The post holder will support children and young people from the age of 4 – 17 years old who have been affected by domestic abuse, including teenage relationship abuse. The postholder will support children and young people from the point of crisis to ensure their short-term and long-term safety; reduce risk; enable them to access community support services and achieve their goals. The postholder will also increase the ability of partner agencies including schools to recognise and respond appropriately and safely to young people affected by domestic abuse.

What the role involves

THE ROLE: The Director is responsible for the overall running of Maa Shanti. THE COMPANY: Maa Shanti supports South Asian mothers who are impacted by domestic abuse. Our aim is to reduce isolation, and increase confidence, knowledge and skills for our services users. We do this by improving access to activities, education and employment and through the provision of advocacy and support (both in person and remotely). We run a busy programme of events, workshops and events which includes e.g. yoga, mindfulness, cooking, vocabulary groups, arts and crafts, excursions and children’s activities during school holidays. The charity was founded in Islington as a grassroots
organisation in 2004 and has grown in strength and size in the last 20 years. We currently have 6 members of staff working for the charity.
WHO CAN APPLY: The successful candidate will be creative, committed, organised and have an understanding of the issues facing our service users. Charity People are recruiting on behalf of a wonderful unique children's welfare charity to find them a new part time Operations Manager. This is a new role, in a young but fast-growing charity who are progressing at a fast pace. They currently have a Finance and Operations Manager, but since there is such growth, they are now splitting the role and have created this temporary Operations Manager role, with the view of this becoming a longer-term fixture. You will initially report to the Finance and Operations Manager. This role can be worked remotely, with at least one or two days per month being spent in the charity's office in Leeds, so it would be ideal to have the successful candidate residing in proximity, or someone who can travel easily into Leeds monthly.
This a small organisation who requires some further guidance and support from the new Operations Manager, to really help underpin everything already in place, and to drive the operational side of the charity forward. There are around 20 staff members, and many more volunteers, and everyone is extremely passionate about the cause, and would love the Operations manager to be just as passionate and onboard with the values of the charity's team.
Key areas of focus for this role are HR, IT, Data Protection and Health & Safety. Horsham Y Centre supports 50 young people aged 16-25 to alleviate the risk of or impact of homelessness. Situated in the middle of Horsham, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community. The service is staffed 24 hours a day with a support team, night team and management based onsite. It aims to support residents into independent accommodation through life skills support.
We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Horsham Y team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Safety and security
- Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming
- Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
- Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development
- Record all incidents and accidents and share appropriately with the wider team, your manager and, if necessary, the central safeguarding team
Engagement with residents
- Welcome residents home and provide informal and responsive support so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
- Ensure resident’s views, aspirations, concerns, and ideas are sought so they can play an active role in influencing the services they receive
- Proactively promote the services on offer and ensure residents are encouraged to engage with those services
- Contribute to, or support, evening groupwork activities so that residents can access tailored solutions that meet their needs, wishes and aspirations
Administration and housekeeping
- Undertake tasks as directed, including but not limited to inputting data, assessments, reviews, case notes onto our client database and entering new residents details/closing ex-resident records
- Completing health and safety/compliance checks, and recording estate inspectors and room checks

General
- Work as part of a team, on a rota four on four off shift pattern, alongside another Housing Night Worker, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective at night, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

- Provide face to face and telephone, practical and emotional, support to clients and their families and carers where appropriate.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children.
We also deliver work around 'systems change' that challenge the challenges and barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.
We are currently looking for a creative and resilient person to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
A key part of this role will be your ability to build positive relationships with individual young people by providing intensive one to one support and group work interventions in order to reduce harm and develop their emotional resilience.
