We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with budget tracking and financial processes.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work well within a team.

Key responsibilities
Marketing

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Marketing & Digital Engagement to lead our efforts in inspiring, engaging, and empowering communities, volunteers, and supporters across the UK. My Life TV is carefully put together with a wide range of content to enable people living with dementia to feel stimulated and connected to the world, improving their mental health and supporting their essential care. We work with highly respected content partners as well as produce our own programming in partnership with trusted organisations in the dementia care field and more widely.
About the Role
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident interim CEO to come into the organisation and lead it during this important transition period, which is where we are shifting our model from in-house sales and marketing to a partner-led approach. We believe this will be the best way to reach and deliver benefits to people affected by dementia. This role will secure this partnership and develop a new strategy for My Life Film's next chapter.
Our current Executive Director is moving on for family reasons, having stewarded the charity and led the development and expansion of My Life TV over the past two years. She will remain available part-time with My Life Films for a short handover period.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Interim ED will be responsible for all aspects of the charity's work and will be passionate about our work supporting people with dementia, entrepreneurial and collaborative, with commercial Business Development, Partnerships, and experience of charity mergers would be beneficial (but is not essential) as we have an experienced Board who will be on hand to support you.
As leader of the My Life Films team, you will also work across governance, finance, income generation, and impact. You will be responsible for delivering My Life Films' immediate strategy and working with the Board of Trustees.
About You
- Progress strategic partnership discussions for My Life TV with existing partners and identified potential partners to move to a wholesale or reseller model for My Life TV, or potentially acquisition of the service by another charity, company or care organisation
- Develop financial and operational models for potential partnerships, including scenario planning and P&L analysis, involving content, tech, marketing, and charitable impact. Lead negotiations, bringing in commercial, accounting, or legal support as needed.
- Work with the Board to create a strategic plan for My Life TV and new dementia-focused services, aligning with the charity's mission.
- Oversee daily operations, including finance, income generation, content production, partnerships, and reporting.
- Secure necessary funding through trusts, foundations, care groups, and events, representing My Life Films to stakeholders.
- Cultivate a positive environment, recruit and restructure as needed and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
