The role of Supporter Care Officer is a key post in the organisation working to maximise CLAPA’s income from the community. It’s a very exciting time to join the CLAPA team, we have an ambitious Income Generation Strategy in place to increase our income diversity. This role will play an active part in this strategy by providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with our donors, community fundraisers and event participants.

You will be responsible for delivering and supporting outstanding customer service to supporters, so that their experience of CLAPA is second to none, leaving them feeling valued and committed to on-going support. You will act as the first point of contact for our supporters when they contact CLAPA by phone, email or in person, with all manner of queries. With excellent communication skills and good attention to detail, you will be self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking and prioritising.

We want to hire a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to play a key role in our small but dynamic team. Friends of the Earth has recently launched its new CRM system, using Microsoft Dynamics. This has been the result of a multi-year project to refresh processes and tools across the organisation, with Applications & Data team members at the heart of this change. We’re now looking for an excellent technology leader to enable the continuation of this work: to set the vision and enable its ongoing development and support, as well as to lead the newly formed multidisciplinary team on a day-to-day basis.

Working in an Agile manner, you will lead technology work across our business-critical systems and processes, promoting the effective use of supporter data to deliver our goal of being a data-driven organisation.  This includes our Dynamics CRM and integration, and our SUN finance system. You will also be a key contact point across the IT department for project management and, when required, be an escalation route for support incidents and requests in your area.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

With strong experience of working with data and internal business applications, and effective stakeholder management, you’ll be able to work with peers at all levels across the organisation to agree a technical roadmap for this work area and then focus on the detail to make it happen. This will include helping set the standard for the use of data across the organisation, using our new systems to enable this.

Your strong business analysis skills be put to great use in understanding the differing business processes and identifying areas for ongoing improvement, working with the specialists in your team. This will be accompanied by a prudent approach to assessing the value of each piece of work – whether a support request or a more substantial change - ensuring it represents cost effective ways to improve how we achieve our goals as a campaigning charity.

This is a complex environment, and your previous experience of supporting varied processes and applications will mean you’re able to prioritise effectively and ensure standardised troubleshooting approaches are used. Likewise, you’ll ensure we follow a robust and modern Software Development Lifecycle to promote changes through environments with appropriate testing and risk mitigation. If you have technical experience with the Power Platform, Logic Apps or SQL, will may come in handy when the team design and make these changes.

Your excellent understanding of Agile methodologies will mean you’ll fit right into leading within the team’s established Agile Scrum practices and support the ongoing improvement of their ways of working – and help shape how technology approaches project management.

Finally, you’ll be adept at working with others to tackle problems together: internal stakeholders will look to you for how to achieve technical change, and you’ll have excellent account management with our external partners who support our systems and will deliver some of the changes needed.

The team: 

The team are an excellent group of people, who’ve made a huge contribution to our work at Friends of the Earth and are well respected. They comprise two Application Specialists (one Finance, one Dynamics) and two Data Developers. All have significant expertise in different parts of our systems.

The team have recently been formally brought together following a restructure but have worked together closely for the past few years throughout the delivery of the CRM project. The team use Agile Scrum for their delivery work, for which you will be the Product Owner.

The team works a hybrid pattern: often remote, but sometimes together as appropriate; typically, this is in our London office but can vary. You will formally line manage all four team members.

World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care. The International department is responsible for implementing the charity’s strategy in developing countries and aims to improve the welfare of as many working equids as possible.

We are seeking a project manager to join our International team to manage funds, budgets and accounts and become familiar with the working of local administration and legal requirements relating to partner organisations.  This is not a role that is hands-on with Equids, you will be working with people who rely on them for their livelihoods in the community-based projects that underpin the charity’s presence in lower middle-income countries.

If you are a qualified Veterinarian this would be advantageous but not essential, as the focus of this role is Veterinary and Equid Welfare; ensuring that all practices by anyone associated with the programme are of an acceptable quality in terms of welfare and accepted professional  veterinary standards.  Working with Veterinary specialists you will co-ordinate all veterinary perspective discussions on interventions to address equine welfare across the programme. You will stay informed on current practices, related to Welfare and Veterinary intervention in terms of other organisations and institutions (including other welfare NGOs, Governments, or institutions such as WOAH) and represent World Horse Welfare in meetings, conferences, seminars and consultations concerning equine welfare.

Although UK based you will be required to travel internationally at least four times per year. This role is suitable for remote working, however, there is an expectation for attendance at our head office in Norfolk throughout the year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation.

Are you an ambitious and tenacious Trusts Fundraiser looking to create real change?

Charity People are proud to be partnered with Village Water, a wonderful Charity dedicated to providing safe water and improving sanitation and hygiene in communities across Africa.

They are looking for a passionate and driven Trusts Fundraiser to lead efforts in securing significant grants from trusts and foundations.

Location: Remote (UK-based), with mandatory attendance at 5 annual meetings (including overnight stay for 2-day meetings) at their head office in Shrewsbury and occasional external meetings elsewhere.
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
Benefits include: 7% matched pension (after 3 months), 5 weeks' annual leave + bank holidays, and a discretionary Christmas shutdown

About the Role:

This is an incredible opportunity for someone to take ownership of their trust and foundations portfolio, where your efforts will directly contribute to the continuation and growth of their impactful work.

As their Trusts Fundraiser, you will:

• Build and manage a robust pipeline of funding applications, securing grants of £100,000+ from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies.

• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective funders, delivering outstanding stewardship.

• Collaborate with colleagues to craft compelling proposals, reports, and impactful fundraising appeals.

• Ensure timely reporting to funders in line with grant conditions, while driving unrestricted income opportunities.

• Play a pivotal role in the success of exciting fundraising campaigns, such as the Big Give or Radio 4 appeals.

About You:

They are looking for a fundraising expert who combines strategic thinking with hands-on enthusiasm. You will have a proven track record in securing significant multiyear grants and a passion for fostering relationships that drive meaningful change.

You will bring:

• A history of securing grants, including awards of £20,000- £100,000+ and multiyear support.

• Experience navigating complex funding processes with organisations such as FCDO, Big Give and Comic Relief.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire funders and stakeholders.

• Strong budgeting and financial acumen, paired with database management skills.

• A collaborative spirit and a genuine passion for making a difference.

The International Dendrology Society (IDS) is an international society with members from all over the world and a programme of events, tours and study days. The society's aims are to promote the study and enjoyment of trees and other woody plants, to bring together dendrologists from all round the world, and to protect and conserve rare and endangered plant species worldwide.

Salary: £60K (full time equivalent) working 3-4 days a week

Location: Remote, the successful applicant can be based anywhere in the UK. There is also office space in Hergest Croft (Herefordshire) that can be utilised if desired.

Reporting to : Board of Trustees via Chair

Key responsibilities include designing the long-term strategy and agreeing it with the Board of Trustees, growing IDS's membership, and developing partnerships/relationships with other key botanical organisations around the globe. You will also lead on overseeing the annual budget and initiating fundraising activities to meet the budget.

The successful candidate will have a track record in running and growing a charity or similar small organisation, with excellent management experience and the ability to lead, inspire and motivate. Experience in interacting with and overseeing people with a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities is key, as is a proven track record in financial management and income generation.

An interest in Botany and Arboriculture is desirable, however you don't need to be an expert to be considered.
