We are seeking a talented Interim Assistant Director of Programmes and Delivery, fully committed to our widening participation cause, to join the Senior Leadership Team for 8 months.

In your role, you will ensure that our centres are working effectively, that the high quality of programme delivery to young people is maintained across the network, and that targets are monitored and met. Contract
This is an interim role from September 2024 to May 2025. This role can be either full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE) -  responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. The role will be based at one of our centres. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: We are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Our central operations team works in-person 4 days per week (or 3 days for a 0.8 FTE staff member) with 1 day from home.

Location

Salary

• £52,000 from September 2024.

Role responsibilities

Human Resources Support

• Recruitment: Support the recruitment process by helping to create job descriptions, place adverts, attract quality candidates and conduct assessments.
• Staff Onboarding: Ensure all new staff are welcomed and integrated into the organisation, guided by the new starter checklist.
• DBS & Safer Recruitment: Ensure the safety and well-being of all beneficiaries, by ensuring appropriate DBS checks are conducted for all employees, volunteers, trustees, and contractors who work with or have access to children, young people, or vulnerable adults and employees
• HR Administration: Support HR administration by managing contact databases, probation period deadlines and performance review schedules.

• Workplace Safety and Health: Help ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing safety protocols, training programmes and complying with regulatory standards related to workplace safety, such as workplace assessments.
• Insurance: Manage insurance policies schedules for equipment, personal liability, professional liability, etc.

IT Support

• Technology: Support the implementation of new technology solutions, such as HR and Monitoring and Evaluation systems.
• System Access: Manage access for systems like Worknest E-learning, SharePoint, etc.
• Microsoft Implementation: Create and manage Microsoft 365 accounts for staff and board members.
• Filing Structure Oversight: Maintain and oversee the organisation’s SharePoint filing structure.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure appropriate maintenance, updates, and training for IT equipment.

Executive Management Team (EMT) and Board Support

• EMT Support: Provide support to the Executive Management Team where necessary.
• Board Meeting Arrangements: Arrange board meetings and AGM, including communicating with members, taking minutes when required and filing documents.
• Governance Documentation: Keep the website updated with governance documentation.
• Trustee and Member registration: Manage the registration and setup for trustees and members

Office Management

• Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for internal and external enquiries, manage phone calls, and handle mail.
• Office Staffing Management: Oversee bookings, phones, and ensure adequate office staffing levels.
• Contract and Compliance Management: Oversee contract details and renewals for office equipment, supplies, health and safety checks, fire safety and liaison with landlord.
• Booking Assistance: Assist staff with bookings for vans, events, travel, etc. such as at our presence at the National Cycle Show and other major cycling and disability inclusion events.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver high-quality family support services as part of our South West Care Team.

We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled colleague, with the vision, knowledge and commitment to lead on the delivery of our curriculum, projects, club sessions and activities with, and for, the young people of Claremont.

You will support our team of youth support workers, volunteers and Peer Educators, helping them to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members. Marketing and Communications Executive

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Marketing and Communications Executive.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and evaluating communications and strategies and campaigns and creating vibrant content that’s really focused on Rainbow Trust’s target audiences.

The post holder will work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Engagement team to support with the creation of news stories, press releases, blogs, campaign copy or email newsletters, website pages, social media posts.

• An experienced Marketing and Communications professional – you have a motivational engaging style, who can draw out information and ideas of others

• Poised and outgoing – you are enthusiastic, with a collaborative approach to achieving goals through knowledge-sharing and working with others . You are excellent at building rapport and developing good working relationships

• A multi-tasker with a sense of urgency for achievement – you are comfortable working under pressure to complete tasks on time.

• A motivating, empathetic and persuasive communicator – you will ensure the family stories and voices are heard to key audiences and channels in all sections of the community, including media.

• Confident use of Content Management Systems and other databases– you have an imaginative and creative working style

Salary: Up to £50,400 per annum plus £750 on Call allowance – Depending on experience and qualifications.

Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week - Generally Monday to Friday with some flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

The service is a residential short breaks centre for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18 years, with severe, profound, or multiple learning and/or physical disabilities who may have complex health care needs.

You will lead, inspire, and motivate your team to hold the highest aspirations for the young people, you will liaise closely with Ofsted to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence, whilst creating a safe environment. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining the culture across the service working alongside an established experienced team providing high quality care towards transforming the young people's lives. You and your staff will work closely with the young people's family, health, education, and social care partners, to provide them with high quality support.

The successful candidate will have substantial management experience in Residential  care, or equivalent experience and will hold a NVQ Level or Diploma level 5 in Leadership and management in Residential Children’s services qualification, or a willingness to work towards the level 5 with completion to be within 2 years.
