Main Purpose of Role
The Senior People and Culture Manager is a key member of the Charity’s management team. They will have responsibility for designing, constructing and implementing a People and Culture strategy to create a transparent, consistent and agile process for the entire employee journey. They will play a pivotal role in fostering a thriving, healthy and positive organisational culture to ensure our staff feel valued, engaged, and well equipped to deliver the highest standards of work. This role provides high-level operational delivery of our People function to build an organisational infrastructure that delivers against the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- People Strategy: Work alongside the Chief of Staff to develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with our mission and values and promotes equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process to identify innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of our hiring to attract and retain talented individuals who align with the Charity's core values.
- Learning and Development: Implement learning and development programmes to ensure all staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively whilst promoting career advancement opportunities within the charity.
- Performance Management: Manage the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on performance improvement strategies and identifying opportunities for development.
- Policy Development: Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and employment law.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and management, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts at work, including grievance, capability, and disciplinary matters.
- Culture Enhancement: Collaborate with leadership to reinforce organisational culture and values, driving initiatives that promote EDI.
- HR Administration and Budget management: Oversee all HR administration, including contracts, leave management, payroll and pensions.
Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge
- A deep understanding of HR practices and principles.
- CIPD qualified (Level 5) or working towards a qualification. Proven experience in a similar HR generalist role, preferably within the charity sector.
- Experience of implementing a People and Culture strategy and monitoring and evaluating its success using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Understanding of the HR needs of a small/medium charity.
- Experience in implementing EDI principles and embedding them through policies and organisational practices.
- Familiarity with employment law.
- Experience developing, planning and executing staff events and training sessions.
- Experience of managing a budget, interpreting operational financial data and preparing relevant management reports.

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, groups, and regional corporate partners across the UK. SLF bring in a significant number of new supporters and income to the charity through mass participation events, fundraising products, and self-fundraising events. The team manage these supporters to give them the best possible experience with ARUK, and to help them fundraise for a cure.
As the Senior Marketing & Engagement Manager in a one-year FTC role, you will lead the Marketing & Engagement team. You will manage the Marketing & Engagement Manager and support the work of the Community Fundraising and Sporting Events teams in order to deliver our strategy and meet our annual income target.
You will: support the development and progression of the Marketing & Engagement Manager and two Marketing Campaigns Officers, oversee the strategy for SLF-wide marketing campaigns, manage marketing budgets and own the relationships with external media and creative agencies, support with sign off for all SLF marketing content, own stakeholder management with Heads and Managers across ARUK, and oversee a new engagement strategy to review and implement a new stewardship plan across SLF supporters.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, or on the return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Shape the strategic direction for marketing and supporter engagement for the SLF function within the charity.
· Innovation – be responsive to the ever-changing digital landscape and react to trends and opportunities.
· Work closely with the Digital and other Marketing teams across ARUK to integrate the newly appointed media agency: ensure best practice, more aligned working, better spending of budgets, and improved performance and results.
· Team leadership and stakeholder management – you will support the team with prioritisation of work and requests based on the wider Fundraising & Marketing priorities to support growth.
· Manage the SLF relationship with external media and creative agencies.
· Creative sign off of all SLF marketing content.
· Working with SLF Heads and Senior Managers to deliver £7m annual income within SLF, defining and making sure SLF priorities are delivered, shaping team culture and developing the growth strategy and ambition
Strategy and planning
· With the support of the Director of Supporter-led Fundraising, lead the development of the overall SLF marketing strategy to deliver exceptional supporter relationships, partnerships, and fundraising products to achieve further transformational growth.
· Be the digital marketing expert among SLF products and events teams, leading the Marketing & Engagement team to support on the delivery of their income objectives.
· Lead the development of the Marketing & Engagement team’s annual operational planning and five-year strategy, driving greater focus on scaling up the volume and value of supporters whilst maintaining great engagement and supporter experience.
Product marketing and management
· Lead the Marketing & Engagement team to support with the strategic planning and delivery of new and existing fundraising products/events to maximise income and attract new audiences.
· Ensure the creative and brand integration of products across SLF to drive maximum value and awareness.
· Support the development and delivery of all products on time, on budget, and on brand across a variety of media.
· Routine end of campaign reviews and analysis, with proactive adaptation of plans to optimise results.
· With the Marketing & Engagement Manager, be the SLF points of sign off for all marketing materials, responsible for proofreading and approving all marketing literature and brand materials for the department.
· Lead the team to deliver exceptional marketing creative and copy in-house, with support from the Design and Brand teams.
Supporter engagement
· Write inspiring marketing copy and compelling communications supporting SLF activities to drive action.
· Lead the team to deliver and implement a new supporter engagement strategy, improving stewardship and engagement journeys across all SLF supporters.
· Work with teams across ARUK to develop and implement improved SLF CRM/supporter segmentation, supporter journeys, and lifetime value understanding.
· Working with the Insight team and SLF Heads, improve SLF audience insights, interpretation, and application.
People management
· Management and development of the Marketing & Engagement Manager and support their growth as the manager of two Marketing Campaigns Officers.
· Continue to develop the vision, purpose, and strategy for the Marketing & Engagement team.
· Agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, including our media and creative agencies.
· Work with the Head of Communications, Head of Brand and Head of Digital to ensure all communications and activities are aligned across the charity.
· Work together with Heads and Senior Managers across the organisation, integrate the new media agency to drive better planning and collaboration, aligning strategically for our next phase of growth.
Budget management and reporting
· Annual budgeting of fundraising product/marketing expenditure and regular reforecasting and reporting.
· Annual operational planning and five-year forecasting, including quarterly Fundraising & Marketing directorate check-ins.
· Work closely with key teams across ARUK to ensure engagement, acquisition, and remittance is monitored and evaluated (including trend analysis and KPI tracking).

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Since 2006, ROLDA has dedicated itself to aiding vulnerable stray animals in Romania, one of Europe s poorer nations. Our mission includes rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. About the Operations and Facilities Assistant role
We are seeking an Operations and Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Senior Operations & Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation’s administrative systems and day to day activities.

The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is dedicated to supporting and empowering people living with and affected by MND.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Area Support Co-ordinator to lead, manage and support teams of volunteers, develop, and maintain relationships with local services, and ensure that people living with and affected by MND receive an exceptional service, improved support, and are at the heart of our care initiatives.
A fundamental part of the role is ensuring individuals affected by MND receive tailored support. Your responsibilities will include leading and coordinating volunteer activities, developing branch and group capacity, and establishing new groups as needed.
A key focus will be understanding local needs and collaboratively planning, designing, and delivering support activities. About the position….

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

Role Purpose
We are seeking to recruit a manager to lead a frontline team. This role will suit an experienced people manager who is friendly, kind and able to manage a busy workload. Someone who can motivate staff and volunteers, engage with elders and be solution focused.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day to day running of the Elders Core Service as part of the wider Elders Programme. This includes the three day a week lunch club, transport offer and social sessions and one-off activities and trips.
• Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers. The team members include a cook, support worker, minibus driver and sessional workers such as exercise tutors.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide this “hands on” programme which builds on older people’s strengths and potential.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Planning and oversight
• Working with the Head of Programme, ensure that all service output meets KLS’ vision, mission, values and charitable objects and with the Head of Programme, ensure the service meets the programme strategy and KLS’s 5-year strategy.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of core older people's activities throughout the week and organise, plan and promote agreed one-off activities throughout the year in a timely and planned manner.
• Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules of older people to and from KLS’ activities with the Minibus Driver. Ensuring the Minibus Driver maintains records.
• Ensure activity records and registers are kept accurately and up to date as well as case work notes for the core team, completing regular checks on this. We use a Salesforce Database for which training will be given.
• Actively support the social and support needs of our older people as appropriate, including safeguarding issues and being a first contact for compliments and complaints for the service.
• To be part of, and work closely with, the wider elder's team, sharing information regarding elders on a regular basis where appropriate.
• Conduct outreach and support work with older people in the community and on home visits and oversee the case work of the Core Team as well as having a small caseload. This does not involve advice work but is mainly signposting, referral and light advocacy.
Staff and volunteer management
• Take responsibility for the Core Programme. This includes line management of the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook and key relevant social activities workers and volunteers related to the core programme (we do also have a KLS Volunteer Manager who recruits volunteers).
• Ensure performance management and quality systems are used to monitor and evaluate the project’s work, processes and safeguarding.
• Managing individual volunteers as part of the Core Programme Team.
Relationships, comms and networks
• Continue to build and sustain strong relationships with our members.
• Contribute to comms for the service with the Head of Service. Oversee the comms for the Core Programme including the shared service newsletter, activities calendar, annual report and social media platforms.
• Attend meetings as requested on behalf of the Core Programme.
Finance
• Manage the project areas to budget, maintain basic financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme – in this instance this is usually a petty cash sheet.
Safeguarding
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across the core team, ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront of KLS’ delivery.
Undertake other duties
• Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal; help to identify your own job-related development and training needs
• Undertake your role in a professional manner and maintain a high-quality standard of work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of KLS

About the Role
As a Care Leavers Employment Project Coordinator for Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN), you will support and manage the development of this project and will co-ordinate, develop and grow this new service.
You will play a crucial role in supporting care leavers aged 21+ on their journey to meaningful employment and independent living by providing employment guidance, resources, and support services with the aim of sustainable employment at our charity with ongoing person-centred support.
You will work closely with care leavers, local authorities, ICB contacts, HMN HR team, HMN senior management team, and other stakeholders to facilitate access to HMN volunteering, shadowing & employment opportunities, training programmes, and career development initiatives. The goal is to empower care leavers to achieve sustainable employment, good mental health and build successful careers at HMN, with the view to develop the service to include partner organisations and other stakeholders where successful careers may be established for care leavers.
The project ethos will be based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, with an awareness that individual differences must not be overlooked, that these needs can be pursued simultaneously, that the theory may not be universally applicable across cultures, and the influence of social, environmental, and structural factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programmes and initiatives to support care leavers in their journey to meaningful employment, including job readiness training, CV building, interview preparation, training opportunities and access to an HMN mentor/buddy.
- Join the Care Leaver Covenant and sign up to the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, harnessing the opportunities available to support the project, including the Inclusive Employment Toolkit.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, ICB colleagues, educational institutions, and community organisations to create opportunities and secure support for care leavers.
- Provide one-on-one support to care leavers, including conducting assessments of their skills, interests, and career goals, and developing individualised employment plans and opportunities to enhance their employability and career prospects.
- Advocate on behalf of care leavers to address any barriers to employment, such as lack of education, training, or work experience, discrimination, mental health challenges, or housing instability.
- Organise and/or facilitate workshops, training, and networking events to enhance the employability skills of care leavers and connect them with potential employment opportunities and mentors.
- Monitor and track the progress of care leavers in securing and maintaining employment and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports on the employment outcomes of care leavers, and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.

The vacancy
Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Female Specialist Support Worker (equivalent to Female Specialist Housing Caseworker) on a Permanent on a full-time basis at our female only scheme in Stoke Newington.
The service is part our Complex Needs Service in London, a supported housing scheme for single homeless females aged 16-21 years, including care leavers and ex-offender with high support needs.
We support young women to gain independence, supporting them holistically to reach their goals/aspirations and move on to independent living.
We are looking for female applicants only for this role as it is an all-women’s service. The Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1 applies to this post.
What we’re looking for:
- Do you have a background working with vulnerable young females (18-21 years) within either a social housing, education, or charity sector where the focus is their development and personal growth?
- Do you have lived or professional experience of managing complex needs, which include homelessness, mental health or any other high risk or high harm behaviours or high vulnerability?
- Do you have experience of working with young people who have challenging behaviour or conflict where you can engage, be approachable and provide required constructive support?
- Do you have thorough and up to date knowledge of safeguarding and trauma informed principles?

A bit about the role:
As a Female Specialist Support Worker (Specialist Female Housing Caseworker), you will work with a team of highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues to help young women prepare to live independently.
Your role is to support a caseload of 18–21-year-olds, all with varying needs, so they are ready to live independently after a period of 12 months.

Purpose of the post
To lead the representation of the VCS Alliance, and wider Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE), in strategic meetings across Bradford District and Craven (BD&C). Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders operating at grassroots and strategic levels to ensure Health and Social Care services are being designed and commissioned with representation of the VCSE, in support of our Act as One partnership vision for people to be Happy and Healthy at Home.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key working relationships
- Form a robust network and collaborate with a wide range of partners, across the Act as One Partnership. Foster strong relationships through effective partnership working, ensuring mutual benefits and successful relationship management.
- Represent the VCSE sector in conversations on Urgent and Emergency Care, High Intensity Use, Intermediate Care, and other strategic meetings as required.
- Ensure that VCSE partners are well represented in all engagement with commissioners and to develop the reputation of the VCSE as partners.
- Actively support the transformation of Enhanced care in the community, intermediate care offer, to support people with the appropriate level of care support and interventions to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Lead and champion VCSE / community led High Intensity Use approaches and methodology in secondary and primary care across BD&C
Operational
- Responsible for creating an innovative way of developing the reduction in high intensity use of Emergency Departments.
- Manage and facilitate discussions and advise delivery partners as to how best practice might be adopted for future development of services and oversee their delivery.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and chair multi-disciplinary meetings, including managing data flow, to ensure a person centred and holistic approach to care provision.
- Work closely with VCSE partners to facilitate and coordinate the co-design of highly personalised projects that support improved wellbeing and health outcomes, whilst reducing inappropriate contact with health care services and unscheduled care.
- Attend a range of system forums / steering groups that are in support of unmet social needs e.g. homelessness, Mental Health.
- Work with other VCS Alliance staff to ensure links to other relevant programmes across the system.
- Develop and operate monitoring processes that support learning and assess effectiveness of provision.
- Lead on a range of projects to ensure that the outcomes agreed are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
- Determine links to existing projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider system/sector, resource requirements and building in contingency, as necessary.
- Work with finance team in preparation of budgets.
- Monitor finance expenditure and outputs relating to programme budget and report to Senior Leadership Team and Board as appropriate.
Information Management
- Present complex information and create briefs about projects in a way that make complex topics easier to understand and are appropriate for the audience.
- Coordinate and share learning of the work with the wider partnership to promote and ensure sustainability.
- Identify patterns, themes and ‘causal factors’ which trigger relapse behaviours in order to shape future commissioning of service and/or demand/capacity planning.
- Draft reports summarising status on issues, outcomes, and provide progress/highlight reports to ICB, including highlighting exceptions and risks ensuring mitigating action can be taken to keep programmes on track.
- Maintain a risk register and ensure actions are in place to mitigate unacceptable levels of risk.
Impact and Insight
- Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and information.
- Collate as required, qualitative and quantitative information and lead appropriate analysis to develop robust business cases.
- Analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making across programme portfolio.
General Requirements
- Undertake personal training as required.
- Attend regular supervision sessions and staff meetings.
- Support general VCSA administration by handling inquiries via the telephone, email, and drop-ins.
- Provide relevant information for VCSA’s newsletter/s, mailings, website, and social media
- Comply with all organisational policies and procedures.
- Promote VCSA with all stakeholders during the duties of your work.
- Undertake any other duties prescribed by your line manager.
Special conditions
As part of this role, you will be required to work and travel across the Bradford District and Craven. While the VCS Alliance supports hybrid working, there is an expectation that you will be based at the office for at least two days per week.
