Main duties of the job

• Develop and implement a charity strategy for OHC and other relevant supporting strategies in collaboration with the Board 
• With the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, provide vision and leadership for the charity setting the overall vision and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its mission and values
• Take ownership and lead on major gifts fundraising including solicitation and stewardship plans to establish a portfolio of major donors and prospects to include High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts & Foundations and corporates. A specific focus is on securing donations in excess of £5,000 from major donors by initiating, promoting legacy giving and developing long term relationships between supporters, prospective supporters and Oxford Health Trust/Charity
• Ensure appropriate governance is in place for reporting to the Charity Committee and the Charity Board on the charity’s activities.
• Lead, manage and support the Charity Team, empowering them to develop and deliver to the highest level.
• Developing and implementing volunteer roles across the organisation in line with the Volunteer Strategy and organisational strategy and ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place for the management of volunteers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, you will take the lead in delivering our in memory giving programme. You’ll be the first point of contact for supporters giving in memory of a loved one and will also support the development of our legacy fundraising programme.

You’ll manage and deliver campaigns that inspire, comfort, and engage supporters, with a compassionate, respectful approach. From running special events like the annual ‘Walk to Remember’ and ‘Candles at Christmas’ service, to stewarding Tribute Fund supporters and working with funeral directors and solicitors, your work will ensure a meaningful and memorable supporter experience.

This role offers plenty of room to make a genuine impact as part of our new five-year strategy – including the launch of major fundraising campaigns for a new cancer hospital and a new children’s hospital.

The post is part of the Billing Project, an initiative by the London Legal Support Trust, funded by The Legal Education Foundation, aimed at providing specialist support to the free advice sector in London. The project focuses on improving legal aid billing practices to reduce the backlog of unbilled files, enhance cashflow, and maximise income from legal work under legal aid.

This is the fourth iteration of the project, building on the success of pilots launched in 2017.

This project is a collaborative effort between advice agencies. The Billing Coordinator(s) will also collaborate with other billing professionals in the sector, some of whom have participated in previous pilot projects. The Green Doctor Trainee will work alongside our experienced Green Doctors to help residents use energy efficiently, reduce bills, and to stay warm and well in their homes. The role will include supporting customers by telephone, travelling in the local area to deliver home energy visits, fitting small energy-saving measures (sometimes involving working at height), and taking part in promotional activities to spread the word about our service. You will learn how to use equipment and tools, gather and record data accurately, and ultimately provide high-quality advice to help people who are most in need.

We are seeking an individual who is motivated to develop a career in the energy advice sector, and who is committed to supporting vulnerable people to act more sustainably, to stay warm and well in their homes, and to reduce their household bills.

GREEN DOCTOR ACADEMY

This placement is part of a national Green Doctor Trainee scheme funded by the Cadent Foundation. Trainees will take part in the Green Doctor Academy: a program of training, learning and support. This will include a period of training, support, and observing colleagues before you take responsibility for your own Green Doctor caseload.

Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.

Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.

By generating the income we need to realise our ambitions, you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.

About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude. You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.

You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.

You’ll also be able to support and inspire our volunteers, ensuring that these vital links between our Charity and the fire and rescue services are happy and fulfilled in their roles.

Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Manager, you’ll be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counselling Coordinator to work across the Greater Manchester footprint, working specifically with women. The post-holder will work alongside the Counselling & Psychotherapy Manager to support with the assessment and allocation of women for the appropriate therapeutic intervention. You will play an integral role in supporting and developing our service model, including recruitment, development and line management of volunteer and trainee therapists.

The post-holder will be part of our multi-disciplinary team and will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. You will work alongside the team to ensure safe and effective delivery of therapeutic interventions across the Greater Manchester Women’s Support Alliance. You will be required to form strong working relationships with our partner agencies and local training establishments to ensure that our excellent reputation is further enhanced.

This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

About the role

As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions.

Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway) or be willing to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years as per Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (England).
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working and supporting children and Young People to achieve their full potential.

• An understanding of the issues facing children and Young People and a basic understanding of safeguarding Regulations and Procedures.
