About the role
We’re seeking a well-organised coordinator to join our growing support services team and help us reach more people living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. You will coordinate the successful delivery of face to face and online services providing information and emotional support in the UK.
You’ll work as part of a team based across the UK and arrange delivery of services in the East of England, playing a key role in increasing our reach and uptake.
You’ll liaise with venues, expert speakers and support our team of dedicated qualified sessional therapists, as well as providing technical support for the running of monthly online services. And you’ll build productive relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to promote our services and increase their reach and uptake.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering information and support services, preferably in a health or charity environment. You’ll understand the challenges for people living with illness or complex health or social needs and be keen to use your excellent organisation and time management skills to juggle a busy workload.
You’ll enjoy working collaboratively and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders. A great team player, you’ll be flexible and able to travel and work outside normal office hours, including regular overnight stays. Above all, you’ll relish the opportunity to deliver our ambition to provide support for anyone living with secondary breast cancer who needs us, by making our services more widely available and accessible.

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023.
We have exceeded our fundraising targets, over the past three years, raising over £90m against a target of £83m and making over £82m in funding available to The Royal Marsden. However, with one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we have recently launched our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.
The Charity is committed to raising £150 million, through a major fundraising appeal, for a new major development project in Chelsea, which will launch in 2025/26. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals, that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

Position Summary
The Health Equity Manager will lead and coordinate efforts to embed health equity across PCR’s outreach, education, and patient engagement activities. The role will focus on increasing access to trusted information and ensuring diverse communities are represented in patient data initiatives. This includes overseeing the expansion of The Infopool (our patient education platform) and Prostate Progress (our patient data platform), working with community partners, and developing tailored engagement strategies.
The Health Equity Manager will play a pivotal role in building partnerships, strengthening community trust, and implementing impactful programs that reduce barriers to prostate cancer education, early detection, and participation in research.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Outreach

Develop and strengthen relationships with community groups, patient advocates, and healthcare professionals to expand the reach of PCR’s educational and research initiatives in the North West, West Midlands and London.

Lead the recruitment, training, and management of patient ambassadors, particularly from the Black community, to support awareness campaigns and outreach events.

Organise and facilitate community workshops, information sessions, and focus groups in key regions to engage those with and at higher risk of prostate cancer.

Fundraising & Patrons Manager (West Wales Region)
Your chance to join Wales’ leading cancer charity to manage raising funds across an already established West Wales region with loads of scope to generate more income. A key and exciting part of this role will see you as the lead when it comes to our partnership and development work with celebrities and patrons who support our work or seek the opportunity to.
You’ll be joining an experienced fundraising team who generate over £2.8million of annual income. Your fundraising impact is seen in people affected by cancer through the services we run, the difference to lives we make and the campaigns that make meaningful change.
You’ll be managing and building relationships all across West Wales with our supporters, Friends of Tenovus groups and establishing new fundraising connections and work with teams of volunteers. You can expect to manage events such as out annual Lovelight concerts, Singathons and Breast Cancer Awareness Month to name just a few.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible working
Due to the nature of our fundraising work you’ll need to be flexible at times to work evenings and weekends. Around this we work core 11am-3pm hours to flexibly suit work around your lifestyle and personal commitments and operate our work flexibly between 7am – 9pm so you can do things like the school runs or fit in wellness activities and hobbies with your working life.

We’re looking for a Legacy Manager to join our team
Salary: Circa £40,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

Position Summary
The Head of Project Development is a pivotal role within the organisation that bridges the gap between our fundraising efforts and project development and implementation. This strategic position focuses on developing new projects based on clear evidence of need and alignment with PCR’s mission and priorities. The Role

As Research Impact and Engagement Lead, you will be integral in leading our impact and engagement workstreams within the research team. You will lead the implementation our research impact programme to ensure that we appropriately monitor and report on the impact of our life-saving research. Job Description
In 2025, Prostate Cancer Research will be launching a groundbreaking new initiative to increase trust and participation in healthcare and clinical trials among the Black community in London, Northwest and the West Midlands, with a specific focus on prostate cancer. We are looking to recruit a social researcher to lead on building the evidence base which will be the foundations of this initiative. You will conduct comprehensive research to identify and understand the specific barriers to trust within the Black community concerning healthcare, aiming to uncover the root causes of distrust and identify opportunities for building stronger relationships between the Black community and healthcare professionals. At the end of this phase a full report will be compiled which will be the basis for the co-creation of new initiatives with the community.
This is a newly created role, which will be line managed by the Director of Research and Communications. You will have the opportunity to join a department which has more than quintupled its research activity in four years, and last year won a prestigious Change Project of the Year award for the creation of a bespoke programme to tackle the racial disparity faced by Black men with prostate cancer. You will also have the opportunity to work cross-departmentally with the Patient Projects Department, which is responsible for cutting-edge initiatives such as the Infopool. Your work will also involve collaborations with Partnerships and Communications.

· Identifying and interviewing relevant experts in trust and healthcare, including sociologists, oncologists, urologists, and community leaders, to gain diverse perspectives on trust-building strategies and understand the complexities of healthcare engagement within the Black community. These interviews will be shared publicly, potentially through live webinars or being filmed.
· Collaborating with the communications team to poll a large number of members of the Black community in the UK, to capture the views of the wider community.
· Organise and facilitate workshops and focus groups bringing together community members, healthcare professionals, and representatives from relevant organisations to explore potential trust-building solutions, and advise other staff as they co-create, test and refine these key solutions.
