About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but high performing philanthropy and special events team. This role works alongside our senior trusts and statutory manager and head of trusts and statutory to secure funding from charitable trusts and foundations. It’s responsible for managing and growing support from small to mid-level value trusts through compelling proposals and exceptional stewardship.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow and develop their experience in trust fundraising and make a significant difference for people affected by breast cancer. You’ll be a strong written and verbal communicator who’s passionate about building relationships with charitable trusts and foundations. With a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail, you’ll be able to work well independently and as part of a busy fundraising team. You’ll have experience of managing competing priorities, with the ability to stay calm and positive under pressure.

Job Title: Fundraising Officer

Started in 2022, Utilita Giving provides grants to voluntary sector organisations, who can alleviate and prevent suffering and hardship caused by fuel and food poverty.

We raise awareness about this issue and enlist the public’s support in fundraising campaigns. Supported by our Patrons David James (ex-England footballer) and Adam Scorer (Chief Executive of National Energy Action), there is huge potential for this small but mighty charity to become a household name.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Officer, who has a proven track record in fundraising and effectively engaging donors and stakeholders to support a charitable cause.

You will be successful in submitting Tenders, Grant Applications, Bids etc. and competently engaging with high-net-worth individuals and corporate donors. You will be highly organised, numerically proficient and be great at building effective relationships. 

You’ll be part of a small team, reporting into the Executive Director, however we work with a diverse stakeholder network of other charities and the general public, therefore you will have excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

We generally work remotely, but you will be required to come into the Chandlers Ford office once a month for meetings.We can be flexible if you wish to have a condensed working pattern over 4 days.

We are looking for an experienced individual giving fundraiser to join the Development and Corporate Partnerships Department based in London.  You will raise money for a range of projects and programmes, as well as manage a number of unrestricted income streams including our lottery.  You will be a proactive fundraiser who can confidently communicate our impact and plans to our members across the UK and work as part of the wider team.  You will be happy to travel to our gardens and shows as needed, working closely with colleagues across the RHS.

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Purpose of the Public Affairs Officer role: 

As the Public Affairs Officer in the External Affairs team at Women’s Aid, you will play a pivotal role in our government and parliamentary engagement work. This will include leading on monitoring parliamentary activity and identifying opportunities for Women’s Aid to influence the political agenda and ensure parliamentarians are kept up to date on issues related to domestic abuse. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our influencing work with the new government on key pieces of legislation, Women’s Aid’s next big campaign and assisting Women’s Aid’s secretariat role to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Domestic Violence and Abuse. Alongside organising meetings and events for the APPG and with key political stakeholders, you will lead on the development of public affairs and campaigns materials, including policy bulletins, briefings, speaking notes and letters to government ministers.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Public Affairs Officer:

• Carry out regular political monitoring, keeping the team updated with important developments for Women’s Aid, identifying opportunities for influence and providing analysis on policy announcements.
• Draft newsletters, correspondence, and website and social media content for parliamentarians, Women’s Aid’s member services and campaigners on a range of campaign and policy priorities.
• Support Women’s Aid’s work on key pieces of legislation - responding to queries, drafting briefings and parliamentary questions, working with Parliamentarians on draft amendments, and the development of joint sector work.
• Lead on projects that widen participation in Women’s Aid public affairs and campaigning work, including organising meetings with sector colleagues, survivors, and our member services.

What we are looking for in our Public Affairs Officer:

• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write copy for a range of audiences and formats, e.g., briefings, consultation submissions, correspondence and speaking notes.
• Experience of working in a political role or exposure within parliamentary institutions.
• Experience in liaising and working with external organisations and individuals, including via correspondence and joint working groups/joint sector meetings.
• Experience in supporting the delivery of projects and campaigns.
• Ability to communicate sensitively about the issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Scope are looking to appoint a Retail Shop Cover Manager (Known internally as Retail Divisional Support Manager) based in the South Division and supporting Scope shops in this area. 

The Retail Divisional Support Manager involves working closely with the Divisional Managers to enable our shops to trade when there are vacancies or sickness. The role will play a key role in maintaining and improving the running of our shops day to day and enable us to maximise sales and profit. This role will involve running various shops and travel across the division.

As Retail Divisional Support Manager you’ll be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion with experience of running a shop, or you’ll be looking for a management role as the next step in your career and be comfortable working closely with the Divisional Management Team. To be successful, you’ll need a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for displays. This is an exciting time to join our Development, Alumni & Campaigns Office, and we wish to appoint an individual who shares our passion for the future of UEA. The Development Officer (Trusts & Foundations) will join a small, dedicated team responsible for securing income from charitable trusts, foundations and grant making bodies in the UK and internationally in support of agreed University priorities, including Health-UEA Climate-UEA and various campus projects. 

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) you will apply for and manage grants whilst also managing the research of new funding opportunities for the team.

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant qualification or experience, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; and an aptitude for face-to-face fundraising. Full training will be provided in fundraising/managing of relationships with volunteers and supporters.

This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.

We support families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. We’re there whatever the outcome, for as long as needed, so that no family has to cope alone.

The charity was founded in 2004 by our now Chief Executive and has grown enormously over that time. We currently have partnerships with 9 hospitals who refer families to us for our support, which ranges from therapies and counselling, to respite holidays and special family experiences.

 Main Purpose of the Role

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

What we are looking for

To be successful you will have experience of working in a charity and ready to take the next step in your fundraising career. You will be self-motivated, collaborative, with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Main Areas of Responsibility

• Work with the Corporate Lead to maximise current and new income, to ensure delivery of the annual target

Scope are looking to appoint a Retail Shop Cover Manager (Known internally as Retail Divisional Support Manager) based in the Yorkshire and Humberside area and supporting a number of Scope shops in this area. 

The Retail Divisional Support Manager involves working closely with the Divisional Managers to enable our shops to trade when there are vacancies or sickness. The role will play a key role in maintaining and improving the running of our shops day to day and enable us to maximise sales and profit. This role will involve running various shops and travel across the division.

Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! From generating and processing stock to designing an eye-catching window display or recruiting and training our wonderful volunteer team you’ll find every day challenging but extremely rewarding. You will have relevant experience in retail but a great attitude and willingness to learn is just as important.

AsRetail Divisional Support Manager you’ll be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion with experience of running a shop, or you’ll be looking for a management role as the next step in your career and be comfortable working closely with the Divisional Management Team. To be successful, you’ll need a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for displays. Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate bunch of superstars. The nuts and bolts of the job:

· To develop and ensure effective implementation of a legacy and in memory fundraising strategy.

· To build relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, creating legacy leads and converting to legators.

· A member of Fundraising Team Leaders, work collaboratively with colleagues to optimise legacy giving opportunities, utilising the full range of marketing platforms and events.

· To develop key messages and tools to enable all staff to integrate legacies into their everyday conversations with our supporters.

What you’ll need to bring to the role

· Proven experience and a successful track record at a senior level in legacy fundraising, including the creation, development and implementation of strategic fundraising plans.

· Excellent people management skills.

· Excellent relationship management, marketing and programme delivery skills.

· Ability to produce accurate budgets and regular forecasts and to communicate complex financial information.

· Experience of developing and promoting in memory and/or legacy fundraising products.

· Strong understanding of relationship fundraising, legacy and in memory giving, including the latest trends and opportunities
