A Campaigns Assistant at Small Axe works in collaboration with senior campaigners. You’ll be working hard and learning every day. From helping to build campaign emails to workshopping ideas for new graphics to securing venues for a photoshoot - this role will immerse you in the world of creative campaigning from the get go.
This is a junior role - we don’t expect a campaign assistant to know everything. Passion for making change, curiosity and a willingness to learn on the job are essential.

Alzheimer’s Research UK’s (ARUK’s) Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) team has seen rapid expansion and has big ambitions to improve our supporters’ fundraising experience, develop exciting fundraising products and drive income to power more world-class dementia research. Working across our sporting and mass participation fundraising products, you will deliver market-leading campaigns, develop creative and engaging supporter content and explore new channels of communication and re-engagement with our supporters to achieve further transformational growth.
The role requires an ambitious marketeer with previous product/event marketing experience, outstanding copywriting skills and an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing new social and digital technologies. Fundraising experience is not essential.
You will work alongside another Marketing Campaigns Officer to support the Marketing & Engagement Manager and the Senior Marketing & Engagement Manager on the development of SLF products and campaigns. You will provide excellent copywriting support to the SLF team and manage creative and media agency relationships. The role also works closely with the Sporting Events Managers, the Regional Fundraising Managers and their teams, as well as collaborating with colleagues in the Communications, Project Management, Digital and Data teams.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Manage the marketing activity for mass participation campaigns.
· Write clear, engaging and fun copy for campaigns, social media adverts, acquisition campaigns, emails and web.
· Work with agencies, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time campaign delivery.
· Own the overall marketing/comms calendar for key income-driving campaigns.
· Be innovative: review and implement new technologies to improve our campaigns, drive engagement and boost supporter experience.
· Help bring our new For A Cure brand messaging to life across all SLF marketing.
Campaign marketing: supporter acquisition
· Play a significant role in bringing thousands of new supporters to the charity through targeted, considered and tactical marketing campaigns.
· Lead the marketing campaigns for our Community, Sporting and Corporate fundraising challenges, which raise significant income for the charity each year.
· Provide the Supporter-led Fundraising team with copywriting support, marketing assets, and wider marketing support.
· Assist the Marketing & Engagement Manager and the Senior Marketing & Engagement Manager on product and proposition development to maximise income and attract new supporters.
· Work with our external agencies and partners, managing relationships where required.
· Work with internal stakeholders to ensure SLF campaigns are integrated across the charity to drive maximum value and awareness.
· Deliver all products on time, on budget and on brand.
· Contribute to campaign reviews and analysis, with proactive adaptation of plans to optimise results.
Engagement: supporter stewardship
· Write inspiring marketing copy and compelling communications to support SLF activities and drive action.
· Develop and write the automated email stewardship journey for key SLF fundraising campaigns and events.
· Develop reactivation campaigns to re-engage existing and lapsed SLF supporters.
Budget management and reporting
· Manage budgets, marketing spend and monitor campaign ROI.
· Work closely with the Digital and Data teams to ensure engagement, acquisition and remittance is monitored and evaluated (CPA, trend analysis, KPI tracking and lifetime value).
· Provide monthly campaign performance reporting and benchmarking against market trends.
Other duties
· Play a pivotal role in the delivery of over £8m income in the next year.
· Active involvement in the sector to ensure best practice.
· Ensure all activities comply with ARUK brand guidelines.
· Ensure GDPR compliance across all SLF teams.
· Ensuring compliance, including understanding and application of the ARUK Vulnerable Persons Policy, compliance with the FR Codes of Fundraising Practice, compliance with Gambling Commission, HMRC, DMA and ICO guidance and legislation.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Context and Background
The NSPCC is the leading charity focused on preventing cruelty to the most vulnerable children in the UK.
We run campaigns that shift attitudes and behaviour to keep children safe, campaigns that inspire action like fundraising or volunteering for us and influencing campaigns that ask for public support to persuade government and industry to change laws and policies to better protect children and young people. This exciting role is responsible for managing the delivery of influencing campaigns in support of the NSPCC’s organisational strategy.
This is a crucial moment for our campaigning work. In the past few years, NSPCC campaigns have played a crucial role in securing an Online Safety Act that is fit to keep children safe online. The team have also secured achievements on changing the law to prevent sports coaches and faith leaders having sexual relationships with under 18s and helping new parents receive mental health support. The NSPCC is looking for someone to continue to drive forward change for children under a new Government across their key policy areas and make sure every child grows up with the safety they deserve.
Job purpose
• To advise on the use of campaigning activity to achieve the organisation’s influencing objectives

About Trussell
Trussell provides emergency food and support to people in need. They exist so that everyone can be free from hunger. Last year, their community of food banks distributed 3.1 million emergency food parcels - the most ever in a single year.
We need urgent action on hunger in the UK. People are being pushed to the brink because they don't have enough money to live on. This can't go on.
About the role
You'll support the delivery of an ambitious programme to mobilise food banks in the Trussell network to campaign for change. By supporting the development and delivery of campaign content and resources for the food bank network, you'll get the chance to lead on some key elements and an opportunity to create real impact.
A central part of the role is ensuring that people with lived experience own and are at the heart of their campaigning. As the main point of contact for food banks engaged in Trussell policy campaigns, you'll make sure that content and actions are accessible to the whole network.
How will you do this?
- Develop high-level campaign content that's accessible and packs a punch.
- Liaise with food banks on campaign activity to help make things happen.
- Support development of robust participation structures, focused on lived experience.
- Identify patterns and trends, and ensure feedback reaches the right place for change to happen.

About the Role
The Campaigns and Influencing Manager will develop and drive forward Agenda’s campaigns and influencing plans to improve systems and services for women and girls with unmet needs.
This role would support a collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic person, keen to work closely with our team, Alliance members, and women and girls with lived experience of the areas we work on, to share our messages and bring about positive social change.
This is an exciting and varied role, providing the right candidate with the opportunity to bring together campaigning, policy influencing, convening and co-production, as well as the chance to develop and manage others. The postholder will look across all our evidence and projects to consider and implement the most impactful routes to influence.
Key responsibility areas
- Developing and holding Agenda’s campaigns and influencing plans, aimed at improving systems and services for women and girls with unmet needs, drawing on a range of tactics and approaches.
- Overseeing the delivery of existing funded projects and influencing goals, including around young women and racial disproportionality in the justice system, girls at risk of school exclusion, mental health and racism in public services.
- Coordinating the team to draw together Agenda’s research, communications, policy and insights to develop key messages, and ways of using these to target and influence key audiences.
- Identifying key points of influence and leverage across a range of areas, nationally and locally - developing approaches and relationships with key actors which will have maximum impact for bringing about change.

This job is for you if you’re passionate about making the country fairer, more respectful, and more sustainable – and if you have the skills and drive to run creative, impactful, people-powered and digital first campaigns to make it happen. Green New Deal Rising is looking for a Scotland Campaigner who can lead our campaigning in Scotland in the run up to the 2026 Holyrood elections.
Green New Deal Rising is building a movement of young people from every part of the UK to fight for a response to the climate crisis that totally transforms our economy to deliver a safe climate and fairer society. We believe in people power, and through a combination of disrupting the political system and reaching into our communities, we plan to make the Green New Deal an era-defining issue. Over the last few years, we have built our movement in Scotland, running the SNP: No More Talk campaign until Spring 2024.
This year, we’re pushing harder than ever to build people and political power to win a Green New Deal. We’re ramping up our Scotland campaign in the run up to the 2026 Holyrood elections, where we will make our generation’s voice heard - climate justice must be the number one priority for a new Scottish government.
So, we’re now looking for a politically-savvy campaigner in Scotland to deliver this work. This role will lead our campaigning outputs in Scotland, develop our campaign strategy and organise our local teams to take sustained action over the next 12 months leading up to the election. You will be an excellent communicator, with a hunger to get into the news cycle and change the agenda and a good understanding of Scottish politics and devolution. You will be a champion of people power and excited about engaging and building relationships with a wide range of people, from volunteers to MSPs.
