We are currently seeking a highly motivated, confident individual with excellent organisational skills to take on maternity cover for the role of head of marketing, advertising and events.
Reporting to the executive director, you will be responsible for the sale of advertising space on our website, through email blasts to our mailing lists, via our weekly emails and within our quarterly print publication. You will also be responsible for the line management of event support, while managing our event programme which consists of up to 19 digital and in-person events per year. You will also be responsible for line management of the subscriptions manager, overseeing concurrent marketing projects, targeting key subscription areas, and ensuring a high level of renewals amongst our subscribers. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to represent Alliance at external events both in the UK and abroad.
The successful candidate will have strong, persuasive oral and written communication skills, enjoy working in a small team, and have excellent organisation and time-management. The candidate will be a willing participant in all APT discussions and play an active part in driving the organisation forward.

Marketing & sales
- Lead responsibility for the marketing strategy to grow the circulation of Alliance
- Direct line management of subscriptions manager to ensure the implementation of this strategy

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.

As we prepare for our annual Christmas campaign, we are seeking a proactive Community Fundraiser to help us secure the funding needed to continue our vital work.
This post is for 18 hours a week with flexibility around working pattern and hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
Christmas Campaign Coordination

Plan, develop, and execute the annual Christmas fundraising campaign.

Create compelling messaging and materials to engage potential donors.

Coordinate with our team to ensure cohesive and effective campaign delivery.

Track and report on campaign progress, making adjustments as necessary to achieve fundraising goals.
Donor Engagement and Outreach

Identify and engage potential donors from the public, corporate, and academic sectors.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing donors, ensuring regular communication and recognition of their support.

Craft tailored proposals and pitches to secure both one-time and regular donations.

Organise and attend fundraising events and activities to promote the centre and engage with the community.
Regular Giving and High-Value Donors

Develop strategies to increase the number of regular givers, ensuring steady and reliable income streams.

Identify and cultivate relationships with high-value donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, moving them through the solicitation cycle from identification to stewardship.
Corporate and Academic Partnerships

Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors, and academic institutions.

Create opportunities for corporate and academic entities to support CWRC through sponsorships, employee giving programmes, or other philanthropic initiatives.
Administration and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial contributions.

Provide regular reports to the CEO and Finance Officer on fundraising progress and outcomes.

Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.

As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will work alongside a supportive team including the Fundraising Manager and Senior Fundraising Manager, and you will be overseen by the Head of Trusts and Statutory. You will support the team with key stakeholders such as Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Garfield Weston, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Comic Relief, and Arts Council England.
This is an excellent role where you’ll manage your own portfolio of trusts and statutory supporters at 4-5 figure level and given exposure to manage 6 figure accounts. You’ll be a key member in the team in cultivating high-value relationships to generate income for various programmes to support the National Literacy Trust.
As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of trust and statutory funders at 4-5 figure level supporting a team target of £6m
- Research, identify and cultivate new charitable trust grant funders to build the funding pipeline
- Manage and grow an existing pipeline of charitable trusts, with a focus on increasing grant giving
- Lead on small and medium-value funding applications and reapplications across NLT’s programmes
Ideal skills and experience:
- Fundraising experience in trusts, corporate, community development, education or health charity
- Knowledge of fundraising principles, and the relationship between prospecting, cultivation, application and stewardship to secure regular and multi-annual grants
- Excellent written and spoken communications, including attention to detail and ability to write a compelling case’s for support
- Experience of building strong relationships and working collaboratively

In this critical market research role, you’ll champion the voice of our customers by ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and put at the heart of the British Heart Foundation (BHF)’s work. And through your work, you’ll play a part in helping us achieve our vision of a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.
You’ll work with teams across the charity including marketing, product, retail, and health to develop insight plans, manage research projects and deliver insights to inform decision making.
In this role, you’ll inspire colleagues to value insights and evidence. Your work will help teams see the power of using insights to shape their decisions and strategies.
Using a variety of quantitative and qualitative tools and methodologies, you’ll run in-house research projects end-to-end. You’ll carry out data analysis and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders such as by delivering reports, debriefs and workshops.
You’ll also manage projects that are outsourced to external research agencies – including procurement, project management and quality assurance throughout the project.
This role sits within the Customer Insight and Analysis team, a team of researchers, data and digital analysts, and data scientists. We work across the BHF to ensure the organisation’s strategy is led with high quality, timely intelligence, and our colleagues can access high quality insight to support decision making, drive growth and improve our products and services.
Working arrangements
18-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you
Naturally analytical and curious with in-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, you’ll have impeccable attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
You’ll have experience conducting a range of research projects, in a pure market or social research function (agency or client-side).
With strong communication skills and demonstrable experience of building effective working relationships with key stakeholders, you’ll be confident working with colleagues at all levels.
With strong project management skills and the ability to make complex data tell a story, you’ll be able manage a varied and fast paced workload and conduct research to high ethical standards.

The Role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work across both Houses of Parliament to ensure that our updated Safeguarding policy is effectively implemented and embedded across our varied teams.
The Parliamentary Estate is a mixed-use site, with many different activities involving a wide range of individuals: from members and staff of both Houses, to visitors on democratic access tours and attending proceedings, school children on educational tours, VIP visitors and parliamentary delegations, and tourists from all over the world.
You will need to work with teams across Parliament to understand these different activities, assess the risks of harm to children and adults at risk, the likelihood of those risks materialising, and how Parliament can effectively mitigate them. You will lead in the roll out of our updated Safeguarding policy alongside the development of a network of trained safeguarding coordinators, developing a community of interest to share best practice and guidance.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- To be the lead source of advice and guidance on safeguarding policy and practice within Parliament.
- Support the work of the Safeguarding board, providing expert briefing, analysis and recommendations as required by the board.
- To act as an additional Designated Safeguarding Officer, supporting the work of the existing Designated Safeguarding Leads as required.
- To lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the new safeguarding policy, using a risk-based approach to embedding it in parliamentary activities, structures and culture.
- To establish a network of local safeguarding co-ordinators across Parliamentary teams
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Experience of successfully implementing safeguarding policy and guidance in an environment which, like Parliament, is a mixed-use site, with a wide range of activities and stakeholders. Evidence of using a risk-based approach to deliver robust and proportionate training, procedures and guidance in support of meeting statutory obligations.
- Specialist knowledge of safeguarding relating to children and adults at risk, with a demonstrable understanding of current legislation, including core principles and current best practice, and the ability to apply this in a pragmatic way relevant to our organisational context.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across organisational boundaries and teams. Able to confidently engage with and influence people at all levels within the organisation, including senior leaders.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to meet demand and deadlines whilst taking full responsibility for the quality of the work delivered both individually and through others.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and explain ideas in a way that decision-makers understand and can act on.
- Ability to lead individuals and teams, building and maintaining strong collaborative partnerships to achieve organisational goals, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, the Database and Insight Manager role will help to continue to transform the way the Charity uses data to make decisions and support our fundraising strategy.
The post holder will directly manage a team of 3 and will be responsible for ensuring the CRM is kept up to date and accurate as well as providing the Charity with the best possible insight, tracking, recording, and processing of all supporter interactions.
The person will:
· Develop and provide robust, high quality and insightful KPI reports, dashboards and analysis for each area of the charity.
· Inform and update the Head of Individual Giving and Director of Fundraising on response patterns, donor profiles and trends within our database, providing insightful and accurate data to underpin strategic fundraising decision making and informing marketing campaigns.
· Work closely with the Supporter Care Manager/Supporter Care Team on projects and initiatives that will help with loyalty, retention and engagement of our supporters.
· Lead on fundraising wide data product development and take responsibility for data protection compliance/GDPR, in collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving and Governance Team.
· Document and set approaches to manage change and improvement of data capture processes across the teams.
· Lead on new projects relational to our data and processes such as data retention schedules and improvement of existing and new automations.
The successful candidate will:
· Have experience in managing and leading a team.
· Be able to manipulate and process complex data sources, analysing supporter data.
· Have proven experience of gathering and analysing data, extrapolating meaningful insights and producing recommendations.
· Have strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret results and draw conclusions and high-quality analysis.
· Have good knowledge of Excel including formulae, pivot tables and graphs.
