You will also assist in implementing the financial control within the team, oversee month-end processes and monthly payroll, and prepare the monthly management accounts and supporting information. The Trusts and Foundations Team is part of the Fundraising and Marketing Communications Department and is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.
As Senior Trust Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for managing our existing donor relationships, researching new funding opportunities and preparing applications with a focus on 5 and 6 figure funding. This is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and accessible and you will have the opportunity to work with long standing supporters, helping them feel inspired by the impact of their gift. Finally, you will join an ambitious and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.
The ideal candidate will have experience of growing a Trust income stream and of preparing donor reports and providing excellent stewardship to funders and will be an excellent spoken and written communicator with a particular emphasis on funding application writing and reporting. They will have strong prospect research skills with the ability to secure higher value funding partnerships and an understanding of the issues young wheelchair users face.

Purpose of the Role
The Helpline Manager will manage and provide support and advice to a team of Helpline Support, Caseworkers, IDVA, and Helpline volunteers who will be handling calls. The role will also include occasionally providing helpline cover during staff shortages. The helpline supports women on more than 45 different issues with most of the calls relate to violence against women and girls (VAWG) as well as mental health and wellbeing. The Helpline Manager will be responsible in ensuring that the service continues to be culturally sensitive and be able to respond to a diverse population of women with complex needs; managing the rota for staff and volunteers, ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover, identifying and managing safeguarding issues, monitoring staff performance, maintaining the helpline database, and providing helpline data to other staff.
The role will also include occasionally attending external stakeholder meetings and raising awareness of the helpline service. The Helpline Manager will also have some involvement in other MWNUK projects, services and activities as required. The role requires a proactive, organised and practical approach to ensure MWNUK’s projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, providing high quality support and customer service across the organisation, both internally and externally.
Main responsibilities

Supervising the Helpline team of 11 staff (however this is equivalent to 3 full-time staff per day only) and ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover and monitoring their wellbeing.

Recruiting and training helpline staff and volunteers with the support of senior management and ensuring their development needs are flagged up.

Monitoring performance of helpline staff through daily check-ins, debriefs, monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals.

Holding regular helpline team meetings and sharing learning as well as identifying and sharing interesting cases with Senior Leadership Team including the Advocacy Officer.

Planning and delivering training to staff and volunteers in line with changes in law, policies and procedures, including safeguarding.

Regularly attending external meetings such as MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference), liaising with police, social services, and other partner agencies. These meetings are a critical part of safeguarding and time for preparation and follow-up is built into the role.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
CoppaFeel! is looking for a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager to lead the organisation’s influencing activity, including the development and delivery of an overarching influencing strategy. This is an exciting time to join the team as we refresh and relaunch our policy and public affairs focus. This new role will shape our approach and have autonomy to lead this function for the organisation.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in positioning CoppaFeel! as a key voice in influencing policies to improve breast cancer education, awareness, diagnosis, and treatment for young people. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to analyse our current position and set our future direction. We are looking for a proactive networker, who is confident in navigating the world of public affairs and the charity sector.
The post holder will ensure that CoppaFeel!'s policy and public affairs activities are data- and insight-driven, centring the voices and experiences of young people, those who have had a breast cancer diagnosis, and healthcare professionals. A key focus of this work will be to highlight the health inequities and unique challenges faced by young people—particularly those from underserved groups—and ensure these are reflected in policy development.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager will be based within the Education team but will lead and collaborate across the organisation to achieve our influencing objectives.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
This role is full-time, but part-time will be considered if requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
Policy
- Lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of CoppaFeel!’s influencing strategy aligning it with our EDI commitments
- Research, develop and update evidence-based policy positions on key breast cancer issues which impact people between 18-35, and seek to influence policy development on these positions.
- Produce high quality, evidence- based policy outputs, including briefings, responses to consultations and policy publications
- Liaise with key influencers, including civil servants, policymakers, other charities and healthcare professionals, in order to influence policy
- Ensure key internal and external stakeholders are updated on policy developments and provide support for senior staff as required
- Support policy input into media responses and act as a media spokesperson on policy related issues
- Represent CoppaFeel! on relevant working groups
- Draft articles and updates about key policy activities for CoppaFeel!’s audiences
Public Affairs
- Develop and deliver impactful public affairs elements of CoppaFeel’s influencing strategy working with the Head of Policy and Engagement
- Research and identify opportunities to engage Parliamentarians in health and education related issues and develop and maintain relationships with key politicians
- Organise and lead CoppaFeel!’s public affairs events, including parliamentary receptions and roundtables and party conference activities
- Lead on the monitoring of legislation and parliamentary activity relevant to CoppaFeel!
- Suggest PQs and prepare briefings for Parliamentarians
- Represent CoppaFeel! at parliamentary events and relevant public affairs working groups
Campaigns
- Lead on the development of campaigning activities that relate to the influencing strategy and resulting policy and public affairs work
- Utilise campaign tools to deliver influencing objectives
- Work closely with relevant departments and key stakeholders, such as young people and/or the breast cancer community to deliver co-created campaigns that meet goals successfully
- Future Line Management: as the organisation evolves, opportunity to add resource and take on line management responsibilities, overseeing team members and fostering their professional growth

Skills, experience and qualifications

- A minimum of six years’ experience in a policy or public affairs related environment, delivering impact and notable change
- At least two years experience working in health policy
- Experience of undertaking research and analysing complex data to support policy development
- Experience of leading projects, including producing plans and working across teams to lead their implementation
- Experience of producing evidence-based policy and public affairs related materials, including briefings and reports
- Knowledge of UK political processes and the policy environment

The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. Job Information
As Data Programme Manager, you’ll use your project and programme management skills to successfully deliver projects which improve Hospice UK’s data capabilities. You don’t need to have technical data skills, but you’ll need to be able to guide technical colleagues and third-party IT and data providers.
Your main project will produce a new Member Data Portal, enabling over 200 member hospices to submit data and view insights and analysis that informs their service offer, whilst also providing a national view of hospice care that Hospice UK will use to support member hospices with national campaigning and fundraising.
Alongside this, you will lead data projects that improve our internal performance management. This will involve working with colleagues to gather requirements and develop reporting that supports effective decision making, developing new policies and procedures, and providing training.
Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key to your success. Working with representatives from our member hospices will be vital to the success of the Member Data Portal project. Internally, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including the ICT and Data team who will provide technical expertise, and senior managers who will be customers for many of the projects. You’ll also work with external suppliers of technical products and services, including carrying out procurements where needed.
You’ll have great project management skills, which means you’ll be organised, structured and a pragmatic problem solver. Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering technology, digital or data projects.

- Ensure a positive experience for new and existing members with engaging communications, including regular newsletters and lifecycle campaigns
- Organise and host events, webinars, and other member engagement activities to foster community
Database and process management
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate membership database (CRM) and an internal super-user
- Track membership renewals, payments, and communication preferences
- Analyse membership data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement
- Oversee membership billing, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collection efforts
- Monitor membership revenue and work with the finance team to report on financial performance
- Develop pricing strategies as needed
Reporting and analysis
- Prepare regular reports on membership growth, retention, engagement, and financials for the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve the membership offering from BSR
- Stay up-to-date on membership trends, membership models, and best practices to keep the BSR offer relevant
Person Specification
- Experience of working in membership or relevant customer-facing role
- Experienced in database management and working with digital collaboration tools
- Strong skills in data analytics, insight and impact measurement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences across multiple channels (including digital)
- Strong management skills to direct, support and motivate their staff to perform to high standards
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to build effective collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills
