Who we are looking for 

We’re looking for a strategic and creative Content & Communications Manager to lead the development and delivery of our multi-channel content. You will curate, create, and commission dynamic, multi-channel content that supports our mission to accelerate access to new technologies and treatments, advance research toward cures, and provide trusted resources to support people with T1D. 

Collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with people living with T1D, researchers, and advocates to amplify authentic voices and create well-evidenced content that informs and inspires. You'll also manage media relations, securing coverage to raise awareness of T1D and our work. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Using your excellent written and oral communication skills to create engaging content 

• Planning content with multiple internal stakeholders from brief to delivery, ensuring a regular feed of content that meets organisational goals 

• Managing and motivating a team of content specialists 

• Working within a proactive press office, creating media plans, responding to enquiries and stewarding journalists. 

• Managing external agencies and freelancers, keeping work within scope and budget 

• Using tone of voice and brand guidelines to ensure consistency of content output 

• Building trust and good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

• Training others to create audience-focussed content 

• Using brand insight, UX, audience segmentation and design processes to deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns to increase engagement 

• Using analytical data to examine existing content and inform future content creation 

• Telling personal stories in a sensitive, creative and engaging way. 

• Flexing language to suit the intended audience

The Evidence & Evaluation Manager / Senior Economist will work in a dedicated Impact and Evidence directorate. 

You will be central to our ambition to create the largest repository of robust evidence and evaluations of what works to support young people into good jobs.

• In the directorate, you will support the Head of Evaluation to ensure all Youth Futures’ investments are designed to provide robust evidence of what works.
• The postholder will design, commission and manage impact evaluations and support impact evaluation methods (through a statistics or economics background) within the team. Strategy + planning

• Develop strategies for the projects on which you lead, working with the Digital Strategy Manager as needed to ensure we are always delivering strategic excellence 
• Schedule and attend planning and project review meetings with clients

Project management

• Manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams
• Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands

Essential criteria

• 4+ years’ experience working in digital marketing, with proven experience of developing strategies and campaigns that deliver results against goals 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions 
• Being comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced environment
• Experience of using digital platforms to build and send mass emails, and comfortable managing email lists 
• Experience of managing ads in Meta, and proven ability to interpret the data to optimise against goals 
• Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines 
• Experience of managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope 
• Dedication to helping build a fairer, more progressive society
• Fluency in spoken and written English

Salary and benefits package

Starting salary: £37,620 (outside of London, with a £3k annual travel bursary)/£42,135 (inside London) 

Holiday: 25 days/year (pro rata to 20 days per year due to the 4 day week), plus bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

You will be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across our existing and new fundraising products, including our regular giving F2F activity, tribute funds and appeals programme.  As part of a small individual giving team you will be working under the direction and authorisation of the Head of Individual Giving.

The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of Mothers’ Union’s fundraising strategy as defined by the annual Individual Giving fundraising budget and plan.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the growing and ambitious Individual Giving team at Alzheimer’s Society.  This role within the Committed Giving team is pivotal to helping us reach our exciting goal of doubling our income by 2030.

You will lead our multi-million-pound regular giving acquisition campaigns across multiple channels, including face-to-face, an important and growing channel for us.  This year, we have significantly increased our investment across regular giving and Lottery acquisition, so working closely with the other Individual Giving manager, you will develop and implement plans to diversify our channel mix, testing new propositions and working closely with our creative and media partners.
You will develop the budget for your campaigns, setting ambitious targets and strategies for future growth, and be encouraged to regularly review and push your campaigns to greater heights, playing an active role in modelling our culture of testing, learning, and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to work with many talented and passionate colleagues.  This includes building close relationships with our agency partners to maximise the effectiveness of our campaigns, working alongside the other Individual Giving manager and Agency manager to ensure we have synergies across our campaigns and working with our Stewardship team to ensure the onward journeys and retention are well planned and focused.

You will have the opportunity to manage at least one officer who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of marketing campaigns. Your role will be to support, challenge and inspire them to succeed – with a real focus on their development.

Main purpose of role:

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver innovative direct marketing campaigns that drive donor engagement across our regular giving and cash programmes. As an Individual Giving Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our fundraising program. A highlight of this opportunity is supporting the delivery of our flagship BBC Radio 4 Christmas appeal, a campaign that is now in its 99th year and generates nearly £2m each year.

We have ambitious plans in place to expand our donor base and increase income through our individual giving activity and we are looking for a passionate, strategic professional who can help us turn these plans into reality. This role offers an exciting blend of strategic planning and campaign delivery giving you the chance to make a real difference in supporting our work preventing homelessness.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Project manage multiple direct marketing campaigns delivering accurate campaigns on time, on budget and to a high standard.

• Work across the organisation to gather engaging content for our direct marketing activities. Write and review copy for collateral used for engagement, conversion and acquisition activities.

• Completing relevant campaign management documents including post-activity analysis reports, identifying learnings and recommendations for future campaigns, and writing internal and external briefs.

• Support the Head of Individual Giving with forecasting and reporting across financial and non-financial KPIs in relation to the Individual Giving programme.

• Ensure excellent communication and liaison between the St Martin’s Charity’s Fundraising team, marketing agencies, suppliers and key stakeholders.

• Work with the CRM Manager to ensure that all campaign data is utilised and captured efficiently, effectively and accurately.

• Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to ensure the Charity optimises digital fundraising opportunities in relation to individual giving.

• Acting as a day-to-day contact with external agencies ensuring high quality delivery of campaigns on time and on budget.

• Maintain a close working relationship with the Supporter Care Officer so that they are aware of all activity and able to respond to enquiries and complaints

• Keep abreast of key individual giving fundraising trends and issues and the regulatory environment.

• Ensure all St Martin’s Charity’s Individual Giving communications are consistent with the Charity’s brand values.

• Demonstrable experience of project management across a range of direct marketing channels including print and digital.

• Experience of copywriting.

• Experience in researching content for fundraising and marketing materials.

• Experience of writing creative, response fulfilment, data selection and print production briefs.

• Experience of working with agencies, collaborating with them to get the best results. This should include managing creative, print, digital and media agencies.

They will work alongside colleagues in the Policy & Research Team who lead on various policy areas including Refugee and Migrant Rights, Military, Security and Police, Economic Affairs, Gender Justice, Foreign Policy and more. The role also engages with International Mechanisms such as the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and other related Special Procedures. The role works with our Racial Justice Campaign Manager and Campaigner, our Media and Communications Teams and colleagues supporting our Anti-Racism Activist Network. The role has a human rights impact by working with colleagues and academics in the racial justice sector in the UK, alongside impacted rights holders and rights holder organisations to work collaboratively on policy and campaign asks.
