Main purposes of job
As our Charity Account Director within the Client Services team, you will play the lead role in driving business growth across the Charity sector in line with our 4-year plan that we launched at the start of this new financial year (April 2024).
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, leading, inspiration and coaching of our Charity Account Management team (from Senior Account Managers to Account Executives, possibly Apprentices down the line), while at the same time looking after a select number of high value Charity partners.

Main responsibilities

Reporting Lead duties: All members of the Charity team will report into this role and the individual will be responsible for all aspects of people management.
Living in the Detail: With such a huge client base within the Charity sector, offering a variety of services (Merchandise, Design, Storage & Fulfilment), we expect the successful candidate to have the capacity and ambition to immerse themself in the detail, investing an incredible amount of time getting to know individual accounts and clients alike. Much of this will take place in “real life” through discussion with Account Managers and clients, though detail will also come from Synergist, our CRM platform.
Strategic Implementation: Able to support the development and implementation of commercial strategy with the aim being to accelerate the growth of Bluestep as a business and industry player. Adaptability will be required as trends and needs develop over time.
Client Relationship Management: Love & Care is central to everything we do (Net Promoter Score is a key metric that we have introduced to the business) and your philosophy must be focused around this. Our Love & Care Manager is the key to unlocking the rewards of this and a resource that must be utilised to the best of your ability. This role will require management and delegation of clients when the team are on leave.
Sales and Revenue Generation: This role will require integrated working with our Client Services Director and Marketing team to ensure that sales support is directed in the right areas at the right times. This ties in with our recruitment strategy and demands. With the candidate’s standing within the Charity community, we also expect this person to unlock significant opportunities within the sector.
Collaboration: This role works very closely with our Client Services Director, who has overall responsibility for all Client Services related activity, and our Love & Care Manager, who will underpin and support all operational and client requirements for the team. Generally, this role requires collaboration across the business in order to guarantee success.
Budget Management: Responsible for creating and monitoring annual, quarterly and monthly sales and GP margin budgets across the Charity sector by individual. Responsible for communicating and agreeing budgets across the team.
Reporting: Develop and update reporting tools that keep the team and management abreast of performance, including presentations within our fortnightly “Scrum” meetings. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to leadership.
Drive change on Industry Trends: Not only offering solutions both internally to Management and to clients in order that these are addressed, but playing a huge role in ensuring they are implemented. This person should be an influential member of the sector community.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
As a remote worker you will be assigned one of our main hub spaces as as your formal base
Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley.
Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday with occasional weekend & bank holiday working.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to devise robust strategies to achieve weekly & monthly volume and quality based fundraising targets, particular focus on Contactless Giving within the regions, Museums and attractions and our F2F Fundraising teams.
- Develop contactless fundraising techniques with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager that improve income generation for the Trust.
- Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business casing of future fundraising opportunities for the face to face & regional fundraising programme.
- Ensure management of key contactless giving channels including devices, signage, branded clothing and collateral all contain contactless donation touchpoints across the network.
- Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
- Handle all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Ensure regular Compliance checks and training sessions are delivered to the F2F team and Regional colleagues, particualrly around Contactless Giving.
- Clear, regular and timely communication with the Team and all members of the senior management team.
- Nurture and maintain positive relationships with regional colleagues to support delivery of F2F fundraising priorities, engagement and training; particularly contactless giving programme.
- Coach and mentor team members in the region and support the maintenance of performance targets and improvements where needed.
- Ensure that all data input and insight reporting is maintained for the benefit of the team including key systems such as CRM, Evergiving and other fundraising platforms and technologies.
- Support operational processes for managing equipment, managing suppliers, regulatory compliance and complaints management.

As a Care Navigator, you will provide support to people whose diabetes is not well managed or who are not engaging with health professionals, in particular, deprived and vulnerable groups within this cohort. Salary: £30,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated leader to join the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association as Interim Head of Data & Insight for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You'll lead a talented team that provides vital data management, reporting, impact analysis and compliance to support the entire organisation.
In this role, you will ensure the use of data and insight is maximised to help achieve the Association's objectives. You'll lead, motivate and develop the Data and Insight team, guiding them to deliver high-quality support across the organisation, while ensuring that all activities are in line with the latest data protection regulations.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll identify key priorities and oversee the team's workload to meet deadlines. Your role will also involve maintaining and improving data quality standards and ensuring compliance with legislation including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You will play a key role in contributing to projects and initiatives by advising on the impact and resource requirements related to data. As part of the Technology leadership team, you will also help shape the Association's wider Digital, Data, and Technology strategy.
The Data & Insight team includes the Data Manager, Data Selection Manager, Business Intelligence Analyst, and several data support roles. Together, you'll ensure the Association continues to make informed decisions backed by reliable data.

What are we looking for?
An experienced data professional with experience of working with a range of stakeholders. Your ability to lead and develop a team will be key, as well as your ability to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation. You'll be comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical staff and be skilled at building relationships at all levels.
You will have a strong background in managing large CRM or Care systems, ideally within a charity or fundraising environment. You'll have a deep understanding of data protection and regulatory requirements, with the ability to address complex compliance issues and implement solutions.
Strong skills in data analysis and management are essential, particularly using tools like Excel, FastStats, and SQL. You'll also have a solid grasp of mathematical and statistical concepts to support campaign and database analysis.

We are recruiting for a temporary Part time Appeal Manager for a high profile social welfare charity. You will be co-ordinating all the appeal activity in their area, ensuring that supporters and other key stakeholders (members, local authorities, partners etc.) receive the support necessary to maximise the impact of the appeal. The Role
With support from your Regional Appeal Manager, produce an income and expenditure budget for your area.
Provide accurate and timely monthly commentary to your manager.
Identity, plan and monitor progress of key activity (in the regional fundraising plan) to deliver the income and expenditure set out in the budget/reforecast.
Manage the activity of a range of local supporters and partners ( Appeal Organisers, other volunteers, regional corporates, and organisations) in order to achieve income budget/forecast.
Manage an agreed number of relationships across your area, ensuring that your supporters have the tools, resources, and support necessary to maximise their fundraising activity.
Develop and support a portfolio of regional corporate partnerships.
Work with key internal partners (membership, operations, PR, etc) at the local level to achieve the above.
Recruit and induct new Appeal Organisers
Ensure that AO have appropriate tools and resources to maximise the impact of the appeal, and that these are proportionate to the activity taking place and income raised.
The Candidate
Good commercial knowledge to ensure suitable ROI in both investment and effort.
Evidence of financial management skills; set and deliver income targets of up to 800,000.
Takes ownership of planning income/expenditure budget and responsible for supplying monthly commentary to manager.
Experience of creating and managing great supporter relationships with volunteers to deliver agreed objectives and income targets
Experience of fundraising, sales and/or customer service environment.
Experience of planning multiple activities and/or events throughout the year.

About the Job
The Director of Farm Programmes Quality and Partnerships is responsible for all aspects of quality programme implementation at Better Cotton small holders countries including development of programme designs and strategies, programme
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring development of high quality, evidence based, high impact, innovative programmes that deliver immediate and lasting changes in the small holders farming communities Better Cotton works in. S/he is responsible to ensure the compliance with technical standards in programme design and implementation. Primary (but not exclusively) this role will focus on programmes in China, Pakistan, India, Mozambique and other small holders’ countries.
In addition, the Director of Farm Programmes Quality and Partnerships will lead the global partnerships team and will be responsible for setting up Partnership Management Standards, supporting capacity of teams in project cycle management and supporting Better Cotton’s network of partners to ensure that their programme delivery is of high quality and integrity.
Responsibilities
In addition to actively participating in the relevant leadership fora and providing a role model for colleagues to follow in their interactions with internal and external stakeholders in line with Better Cotton’s ethos and values, the specific responsibilities of the role are:
Programme Quality and Management
- Accountability for quality and progressive improvement of Better Cotton global programme delivery.
- Support country teams to develop country programme strategies, programme designs and operating plans, including annual plans and budgeting.
- Ensure globally coherent programme design by supporting in-country programme teams, in collaboration with other teams/functions such as: assurance, monitoring & evaluation, and supply chain.
- Review structure and strengthen capacity of country programme teams to carry out a range of activities to deliver the Better Cotton Standard System, in collaboration with in country or regional leadership
- Strengthen capacity of country programme teams in project cycle management.
- Ensure good practices of project cycle management are consistently adhered to.
Partnerships
- Develop, test and roll out Better Cotton’s Partnership Management Guidelines with relevant tools.
- Coordinate with internal grant funding team to ensure global Partnership Management Guidelines meet all programme and project needs of Better Cotton.
- Ensure application of Partnership Management Guidelines and other partnership guidelines by all partners.
- Oversee quality programme partnerships to deliver our work at the farm.
- Working closely with country teams to ensure we work with high quality partners who aligned with Better Cotton direction of travel and with a shared commitment to a progressive system for farmers and credible delivery against our Standards.
- Support the country teams to develop and implement partnership mechanisms that facilitate sector funding of new country programmes
- Support management of country teams and programme partners to produce credible funding proposals to Better Cotton funding programme
- Ensure that an appropriately robust and effective programme partnership and due diligence framework is being used to drive excellence and impactful programme delivery.
- Oversee implementing of learnings from the complaint’s mechanism related to programme partners.
- Proactively build relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Build a cohesive team spirit and culture among staff and delegate responsibilities to them, while ensuring achievement of programme objectives.
- Lead, mentor and build capacity of global partnership staff and in country programme staff in a way that creates a working atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellence at all levels.

- Maintain effective and positive internal communication with Better Cotton staff in country offices, this includes ensuring open and harmonious communication with different departments, offices, and programs.

- Promote accountability, communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback informally and formally via regular one on ones and performance reviews.

- Building and support a culture of global support for country led strategies, ensuring the global and country teams work well together
Fundraising
- Actively support proposal development, budgets and pitch decks to support the delivery of fundraising targets.
- Ensure quality end to end management of fundraising and grants implemented by country teams
- Support the country teams to work in collaboration with the Fundraising Team to secure funding for new country programmes and to deliver subsequent grant-funded activities in line with donor requirements and expectations.
- Ensure forecasts are done of scenarios for different funding models and geographical balance of funds.
Finance & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance and transparent use of resources in compliance with Better Cotton or donors’ regulations.
- Monitor adherence to grant agreements, Better Cotton’s policies and procedures and relevant external rules and regulations.
- As part of the senior management team, work within operations systems for programme impact including finance, procurement, people & culture.
- Work relevant team members on proper budget management, including forecasting and procurement planning.

- Experience of working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
Desirable
- Experience in managing programmes in India, Pakistan, Mali, Mozambique
- French, Urdu or Hindi language fluency
